I’m so amazed how this keyboard is worth it an the price is just mind blown for what you pay for rather spending half of the cost on other keyboards out there, yes there are some downside to the function key to use other actions but I’ll get use to that it’s not a big deal for me but for someone who is an editor / photoshop designer I don’t think this keyboard is for you probably just meant for gaming an minor task use.

It’s a good 60% keyboard for the price and the switches and build quality are pretty nice. However, the RGB is kind of cheap and the white lighting selection on the software produces a purple-ish blue-ish color.

Best 60% for the price BY FAR.
Hands down best 60% for the price. Ive had quite a few and none of them are as good as the Asceny. Only issue Ive had with mine (after 6+ hours of use every day for more than a year now) is that I had to get a new cable. That’s literally it. Honestly better than most 100-150 dollar mechanical keyboards. Oh and another thing is that the software is still pretty bad, but i’m sure it will get much better very soon. But yea if your looking at getting it, just get it. For the price theres nothing better and DEFINITELY much nicer than some like 20$ Chinese “mechanical” keyboards. Just spend the extra money and buy one of these things. I will definitely get another when the time comes. Also it looks so clean and switches feel really nice.

My first mech keyboard
I love the small form factor for saving room on my desktop, but the lack of dedicated arrow keys is taking some getting used to. I’m looking forward to when they get their lighting software squared away. It’s got a new update as of this review, but it’s still not really usable. HOWEVER when I emailed their tech support about this issue, they responded almost instantaneously. No company does that.Packaging was nice with a hilarious welcome note. The colorful keycaps are a fun add though I probably won’t use them. The addition of the cap and switch pullers is also a nice add.I was pleasantly surprised by the volume of typing on the brown switches. I honestly thought they would be louder based on some anecdotal stories I’ve read online. I have yet to have any angry co-workers at my desk asking what all the tapping noises are so that’s a positive.I’ve seen some complaints about the lighting not being bright enough, but honestly I don’t think I could handle it being any brighter. The RGB effects are plenty noticeable at regular office lighting levels. If they were brighter I think I’d have some glare issues to deal with.Overall I really like it so far. Probably will buy some pudding keycaps to add to the disco on my desktop.

Good keyboard! But not so suitable for gaming.
I’ve used this keyboard in conjunction with the Kemove GK66. I like the compact feel and the PBT keyacaps. What was difficult for me was due to the 60% nature, a number of keys have double function/features. This makes using this keyboard of gaming a little difficult. I often find myself often accidentally toggling the alternate function of these keys which would then severely disrupt game play. I’ve tried to change the settings of the keys but it seems (and likely that I am also technically challenged) I was unable to find an effective/suitable way to deal with the issue. Granted I did not spend much time trying to figure things out since I turned back to the Gk66 when this issue continued to frustrate me.This keyboard now sits at my work desk and used as my go-to keyboard when I need to work. So in that regards, the Asceny is a good product. Sturdy. Compact. High utility. Just maybe not as suitable for gaming.

What i dislike is that on the manual there is one typo for the RGB which is use both [ ] for the bright but its actually P [ for the brightness, what i love is how small it is, the normal stance for the keyboard since it has rubbers u can adjust the height, the RBG effects are insane, The Font, the Asceny Logo, and of course the brown switches. – SwilsonFN

This keyboard is a solid built 60% keyboard.I like how they come with the extra key caps. The RGB has many different options and is very bright. I bought this keyboard for my PS4 to have fun with many games!! Great keyboard!

Good Keyboard, Great Price
This keyboard delivers a bang for its buck. I enjoy the brown switches, and they feel great with double o-rings. The software for it is easy to use, and they even have a tutorial video on their website. I’m not a huge fan of the keycaps, so I’m replacing them with aftermarket ones. The RGB’s aren’t the best, but I didn’t buy this board for its light-show. I bought the board because it is hot-swappable. I see now, though, that it only will hot-swap with “optical” switches. The PCB (motherboard) is only compatible with only a certain type of switch, and there aren’t many different switches out there. If you aren’t looking to swap the switches, then this is the keyboard for you. To end on a good note, the colorful keycaps it comes with are awesome! All-in-all, this keyboard is great for its price.

AMAZING 10/10
I did a lot of research before buying a “budget” mechanical keyboard off amazon and I decided to go with the Asceny One keyboard with gateron brown switches. It was the BEST decision I could have possibly made, the quality is just amazing for the price. I was able to get the keyboard along with some awesome backlit matrix keycaps for around the same amount of money I would have spent on a keyboard alone from other competitor brands.The RGB looks GREAT, the keyboard is white underneath the keycaps so it really makes the rgb stand out.I started gaming with a razer ornata chroma which had mecha-membrane switches. I later replaced it with a razer huntsman KB with razer purple switches but I realized my desk was becoming too crowded so I quickly began to search for an affordable 60% keyboard. I am now more than certain that gateron brown switches are a perfect match for me. This keyboard was actually cheaper than all my other ones but THE BEST by far!I think I finally found a keyboard that I will never have to replace especially because of how customizable it is. The customization opportunities are endless for this keyboard especially with the option of swapping the key switches with out the need of soldering.Thanks Asceny for bringing us such a great product at such a great price. This product is legendary.

Best Budget Mech for someone getting into Mechanical Keyboards!
After researching countless reviews, I can honestly say that this is one of the best purchases you can make if you are just starting to get into mechanical keyboards. As this is my first mech, I can truly say that this keyboard is beginner friendly and easy to understand. This keyboard is incredibly worth it for the price for the great RGB lighting and quality switches.As I began to customize this keyboard, I realized that the stabilizers are lubed! They aren’t the best stabilizers but the little detail to even get them lubed is greatly appreciated. Having a great budget hot-swappable keyboard at this price is just amazing! One concern I have though, is the switch puller. At times the puller becomes unstable and sends the switch flying across the room. The keycap puller is also a concern because as you try to pull them up and inspect the key, the glossy finish on their sides get moderate scratches. The top of the keys (also the extra colored keycaps ) have this matte finish that doesn’t attract finger oils though so that’s a great plus! In contrast of some reviewers, the RGB features is also very easy to understand once you read the letter/user guide. It shows exactly what keys you need to go through the different options. The RBG is also amazing in the dark and even in direct light.This is an overall great prebuilt mech at a budget for gamers and typists alike! This mech can also have some improvements with customization but overall happy with my purchase. Happy to join #teamasceny! 🙂

Comparing the keyboards, stock this keyboard has a interactive rgb mode that the ducky one doesnt even have. Downloading drivers gives you even more customization. Reccomend all day

I really like everything about it so far… I have a pok3r and I prefer the ascent one over it even though it was 1/3rd the price… the rev is dope, the switches are sick, I like the little mountain graphic on the space bar and the glossy sides but matte tops on the key caps was a nice touch… was gonna buy an Anne pro 2 or wait 3 months for a ducky but now I won’t do either… stoked frfr

Best 60% for the price. Would choose over the Anne pro or ducky. Great product at a great price! The switches feel great. Plus they are hot swappable which is unheard of at this price point. Got mine with the colorful keycaps which is a nice touch. Looking for a great gaming 60% that wont cost 100-150. This is your board.

This was a gift for a friend, but I had the chance to use it a few times and this keyboard isone of the most incredible boards I’ve ever used. It has some wild RGB effect, one that is even sensitive to sound?? So cool. Great feel, quality switches and build. I could go on and on, but I’ll just leave it at… best entry level mech board on the market hands down.

THIS KEYBOARD IS AMAZING! was on to a rough start with shipping with UPS, but these covid times I guess its understandable. Keyboard feels so good, its everything I expected and more. brown switches are great. not to clicky not to loud. love the colored keys it comes with. overall I recommend this to anyone that needs a 60% keyboard. so glad I didn’t purchase a more expensive one. this is it! Maybe only thing I will do is the red cherry switches but that’s all preference right? GREAT PRODUCT!!!!!!

Perfect 60% Keyboard
I love this keyboard I’ve been using it for about a month stock. The rgb lights are adjustable by speed and how bright they are. I got the brown switches and they ar3 perfect for schooling and gaming.

so i bought this keyboard in replace of the DK63 also sold here on amazon.Both are great, however, Asceny is better in the lighting department and key layout, the fact you can also fully swap keys as well is very nice, now this is a compact board so keep in mind using other programs you’ll need to press down the FN for most of the actions. This board also doesn’t have kick out legs.Now i would recommend this board to anyone honestly, its an amazing compact board, if you don’t mind using the FN for 2nd actions get this board you wont regret it. also if want a more quiet sound key go with the black keys.

I am beyond speechless with the quality and customer care of Asceny. You get true gateron switches, which you can remove without soldering. It comes with a set if colored keycaps. The RGB is magnificent. The keyboard feels really sturdy and has great weight to it. I’d rate it 10 out of 5 stars if I could.

If you’re looking for the best 60% keyboard, this is the one. (Gateron Black)
At first glance, this keyboard looks like the generic 60% keyboard you can get anywhere on amazon, but its far from that. For 65$, there is absolutely NOTHING that can beat this. Upon opening it, I was welcomed with such a unique and thoughtful letter of purchase, and honestly, I have never received anything like it. Next up, was the keyboard. It came wrapped in a plastic covering securely and below it, was the included braided USB-c to USB type-a, the extra colorful keycaps and the keycap puller. I immediately opened the keyboard and connected it to my pc and was welcomed with really bright backlit rgb. I personally am a heavier typer and gamer when it comes to keycaps so I got the Gateron Blacks, with an actuation force of 60g. To be completely honest, this was the type of heaviness I was looking for, just perfect. Overall, this is THE BEST 60% Gaming keyboard i have seen to this day at this price range, and you might as well get it now!

Ridiculous Value
I honestly prefer this to my G910, which was way too big to begin with. Having the option to change out the switches is also really nice, especially at this price point. Love the sound (I went with loud blues) and the actual body is incredibly solid. The only complaint is the software needs some work, as you have to deal with some guesswork in Mandarin. I would have given a lower rating for the software, but for the price I’m very happy.

I have used this keyboard for about a week. It has great build quality and the stabilizers are lubed from the factory so it has a nice sound and feel. The price is amazing for the product that you are getting. I went with this 60% because of the reviews and the one or two youtube videos I watched about it. So glad that I didn’t buy any of the other options on the market.You wont regret buying this 60% if you are looking at the other options. I will update this review if I come across any issues but I really don’t see that happening. There customer service team is also amazing!

Amazing product and an amazing company. The Gat browns are the perfect intro into the tactile switch family and them being swap-able means you aren’t married to them should you decide you want a different switch. The included color key-caps are a nice bonus on the already very nice key-caps on the board itself. They don’t get oily and they are printed very nicely.If I had to name something that I don’t love about the keyboard it would be the length of the cable provided. It is laughably short. However, for the price you pay I didn’t even think twice. I love Aceny.

Excellent Budget Keyboard
I have been using full size keyboards for quite some time. I wanted to transition to a 60% keyboard and started my research. I started with reading reviews from multiple sources and concluded that this is the keyboard for me. A big part of my decision was the positive feedback that others had on the product. I also took in to account that their message seemed down to earth. The humor is there and that along with a quality product is magic.I received the keyboard in a timely manner thanks to Amazon and was eager to try it out. While unboxing, I noticed the quality of the product. It feels sturdy and not cheap in any way. The first thing I wanted to know was the feel. I began typing with the intensity of a hacker in a television series. I was creating a GUI interface using Visual Basic, to see if I could track an IP address with speed never seen before. The feeling was amazing and I was stimulated both through feeling and sound. Thanks Asceny for the pleasure.With all that out of the way, I will say this is a great keyboard. The price is right, the feel is right, the sound is right, everything is just right. I would recommend this keyboard to anyone because I know it will not disappoint.

Functional, fashionable mechanical keyboard for those who want to save desk space
I bought this keyboard as a cheap (ish) way to save some desk space by replacing my old full-size MKB. So far, I have been more than pleased with it! It’s stylish with the colorful key caps and RGB. Using it has been a breeze, and I’m already use to the primary and secondary functions of the keys.My keyboard has the Gateron Brown switches, which are a nice switch from my old Cherry MX Reds. The tactile feel is very satisfying, and there is just enough “click” without being too noisy.The Asceny team also sent a pretty humorous delivery letter with the keyboard – it felt like a nice personal touch that not a lot of companies go out of their way to do. I would 100% recommend this to anyone looking for a keyboard, wether it’s gaming or productivity, the keyboard is very intuitive and tactile and the size makes it easy to fit anywhere, I purchased the model with blue switches and I love to here the click sound after each I press each key. The onboard rgb setting is outstanding and I don’t think I will bother getting the software just because of how much I like the settings it has already. In conclusion, it your gaming or producing or just getting homework done, I would definitely recommend this product, Thankyou Asceny for your wonderful product!

Great keyboard for amazing price!
-update June 22, 2020-So far this has been an amazing keyboard. Love the customer support from Asceny. They will answer promptly if you go through Twitter. I bought some brown hot swappable Gateron switches and boy I gotta say it made the KB fell even better than the blues! Added O-Rings for the bottom out and it did help. A little loud but that’s to be expected from Gateron, they’re a little heavier on the actuation force and bottom out than Cherry MX switches. Keycaps will make it look even better. Cant go wrong at all at this price point! Thia keyboard is insanely cheap and a good quality build! Bought the blue switch keyboard, loved the welcoming note to the asceny family and the different keycaps it came with. Will definitely look into buying some brown switches since it’s hot swappable. So far it’s been amazing!

Great Hot Swap KB for the price
Overall great keyboard, good build, no flex at all, Gateron switches are fantastic (hardly any difference to real Cherry Mx switches), nice braided cable & good RBG lighting. For 55 bucks this is a pretty great hot swap KB. Only con I have are the software, GK61 pcb has a bad software, just a bit trickyto use so you gotta mess with it since most of it is in Chinese even when you change the language. If Asceny could somehow implement their own software or rework the current one that would go a long way for me honestly. The key caps aren’t the best but this is primarily personal opinion/taste. I actually have my stock Ducky Mini keycaps on the board in the pictures because I like the feel of them. But again, great keyboard so I would definitely recommend it or try it.

It’s a really great board. It looks great, is great quality, and has a lot of customization for the lights. But the software is really confusing. It was Chinese when I first opened it and later on it changed itself to English, and the controls for it are also confusing.

Sad Excuse for a Keyboard *Updated 04.2020*
I really, really wanted to like this keyboard. Since I had to reship my last one due to the space-bar making a terrible noise, and bottoming-out horribly against the frame.Pros: Hot-swap availability. Switches, and stabilizers are all seated firmly into the board, no loose ends.Cons: Poor construction, maintenance required straight out of the box. Being held to only purchase Gateron optical switches which are impossible to find online. The stabilizers look to be factory lubed to decrease rattle, however this is done haphazardly, (when taking the stabilizers out and checking the amount of lube/grease, and placement; I have found that there was very little there, and not even in the correct area. I’m not even sure how this would have passed quality inspection; for either keyboards I have received), and does not do anything to stop the noise.Sadly, I had to give this a low rating. I have been unable to get in contact with the producer of the item through their website, as their email does not go through.I will be shelving this item, until there are other options for switches, or I learn the skills needed to completely revamp this keyboard from the ground up.**UpdateI have since switched the key switches to Gateron Optical Clear switches – lubed stabilizers – and new set of fresh DSA profile keycaps. I have learned to love this little board, if you are looking for something you can upgrade and not care about ruining, this is definitely the keyboard for you. I have increased my rating from a 2 star to a 4 star for being a solid upgradable mechanical keyboard.
