an amazing port of a classic series

Fantastic port of these 3 games. if you thought all 3 of these would fit on a single cartridge then you really don’t know the BioShock series. I played these games on multiple consoles and PC, and I have to say the remastered version of BioShock 1 rivals the XBOX Ones graphics even at 30 FPS. 2K did a phenomenal job porting this to the Switch. they could have compressed the hell out of these games and made them all fit on a single cartridge but the developers wanted to preserve one of the best parts of this series which is the visuals. If you are looking for a first person shooter with an amazingly immersive story then BUY THIS NOW. also the price is hard to be considering you get 3 games

2K really cheaped out on us gamers with this port.

The entire set of games are NOT on the game cartridge. A mandatory 31GB download of the games is required to play all three games on this physical release. This is just unacceptable and lame.

Worst use of a physical release I’ve ever heard of

“2K has opted to use a 16 GB cartridge to house the opening sequences for each of the 3 included games and will require players to then download an additional 31 GB of data to continue to progress through each title.” What a joke…

Physical “copy” is just a key, expect downloads.

The only reason to buy a physical copy of this game should be to play on more than one Switch, or gifting. Expect to download all three games before playing them. That being said, this is an amazing collection of an award-winning series of games, but stick to the digital version if you only have one Switch or don’t plan on gifting.

Great Port of three Classic Games, Big Update Not so Great

So far, the games seem to run great on my Switch. The graphics, gameplay and performance are all very good. However, requiring a massive update to unlock the rest of the games’ content? Very disappointing! Why couldn’t they just include it all on the cart or split them up into 3 carts per game?

    Great Port, Fake Physical Release

Great game, great ports, poor physical product.Played through Bioshock 1/2, and about 4 hours into Infinite. I played In handheld the entire time. In handheld it was a very smooth experience, looked and sounded great.I gave it a 2 star because these non physical, physical releases are ridiculous. I would have happily paid 10 extra dollars for 2 carts with Bioshock 1/2 on one cart and Infinite on the other.

    A fantastic port

of one of the best video game trilogies of modern gaming. All three games play and look fantastic, and 2k has done a great job with the attention to detail with all of them. I’ve had zero performance issues. Note that a download is required of about 6gb to 10gb for all three games, which is expected for such a large undertaking of porting the games over. Also note that there is no entering of a product key for any of the games (despite what some of these reviews say), so the collection can always be resold containing all 3 games. This is different than trilogies such as Resident Evil 4/5/6. Definitely a must buy!

Might as well be a download code, but said code would be more efficient and better

I am seriously not happy with this… No I have a 400 gig SD card in my switch console. But I also have a ton of games, so I like to buy disc games because it gives me another game without wasting a bunch of space on my SD card. This game is basically a download code, not a single game is actually on that disc. Mind you if you look on the back in small print it warns you that you need (a lot of) amount of space on your SD card. I have gotten some of these mult game disks in the past, normally at least one game is actually on the card. There is quite literally no point in this disc, it would have just been easier and more efficient to buy it on the eShop. Shame on whoever made this. Now I will say this the Bioshock games themselves are quite good, they’re kind of steampunky and who doesn’t love an ability called murder of Crows, they have an interesting storyline and are fun to play. But honestly why bother to make a disc that has nothing on it.

Just here to counter Joshua’s review. Dude can’t read apparently.

Sweet baby Jesus! IGNORE the fool that keeps getting pissed about 2k games karts. It’s been known for MONTHS they are not all on the cartridge! These phenomenol games! And you are getting 3 for the price of 1! Woot complaining!

    Good, but read up!

Great collection of games, however…I found Bioshock 1 and 2 impossible to control with the joycon control sticks. They are too small and sensitive, and neither Bioshock 1 or 2 have gyroscopic motion aiming. I cannot recommend playing them without a Switch Pro controller. Bioshock Infinite, however, DOES have gyro motion aiming. It should be noted that all of the games must be downloaded in order to play them fully. Each game will still require you to insert the Bioshock Collection cartridge to play. This is not great for somebody with limited MicroSD storage. However, if you are like me and have 512gb and live with other Switch players, the physical version is the best option.Although all of the games require a large download, the Bioshock Collection physical version will let you easily share the games between multiple people.
