Product Description

Modern Warfare 2: Prestige Edition? Forget it (along with the money you spent on it). With the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops just a few months away, Activision has announced new and elaborate special editions to sit alongside the regular package. As you can see above, the ultimate package (again dubbed the Prestige Edition) comes with a working RC car complete with a camera that provides TFT color video and audio to its operator. You might recognize it as an unarmed replica of the vehicle seen in the game’s multiplayer trailer.

Prestige Edition not worth the money.

I received this game the day after it was released. The game is fun, but the remote controlled car that came with the Prestige Edition simply did not work.I tried to exchange it, but was unable to because it was out of stock. I had to pay to ship it off to the manufacturer to get it replaced. It took over a month and several phone calls to get it replaced. My son likes it, but I was dissapointed with the car even after we got one that works. The game itself is a lot of fun.

    Good game, car is Junk

I’m a Call of Duty Fan, it’s the only game I play. Black-ops online play is the easiest one out of all the call of duty’s prior. But it is the newest so it’s the one I will play. Lots of new stuff unleashed in this one. Overall a very good game. The car on the other hand is a piece of junk. It takes lots of AA batteries to opperate and even when using energizer lithium batteries they are dead in a matter of minutes, the screen has a good picture but it is very small. The best use for the car is using the stand it comes with and putting the car up for display purposes only. The extra trinkets it comes with is a good bonus though. Overall I would buy the prestige version again just to have the best edition but not for the car itself.

Save the Money, Only Buy the Game

Great game, but the little car and controller is just so-so. No one here really messed with the car after the first “gee-wiz” moments and it has sat on the shelf ever since. It is hard to tell where you are and if you were hoping for stealth with it (which we were not) forget it, it makes a lot of expected noise. Just buy the game, which is great and save the money.

    Treyarch Takes Top

Cons:-Campaign mode: Treyarch was never one for a good plot. Single player is fun, but feels overloaded with adrenaline and explosions at times.-Online maps are considerably smaller, fans of sniping will gripe about this.-Max prestige mode has been upped to 15 (more resets, less level cap)-Graphics seem to have decreased slightly to make room for customizationPros:-TWO-PERSON ONLINE: Yes, you can now play with two people on the same system ONLINE. Finally.-Zombies: Treyarch knows what they do well, and they stick to it. More zombie maps, more styles, more fun.-Online Customization: Clan tags, player cards, guns, player look – it can all be customized-Tailored for CASUAL gamers (Kill streaks reduced, access to equipment early on)-More multiplayer game modes: Wager Match (Gun game, Sticks and Stones, One in the Chamber), more Hardcore game modes-RC-XD actually works! Very high quality, great video audio for price (Only available if you bought Prestige Edition)Reason Purchased: I purchased Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: World at War, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. It only made sense to buy Call of Duty: Black Ops from a series I love/hate so much.Bottom Line: Treyarch knows what works for them, and they know what the people want. Their focus on customization and Zombies has left other industry players in the dust. I highly recommend this edition over the previous installments.

    Game ok

The game was ok, tomahawks bouncing around were cool, but the hit detection issues and laggy feel to the play made it a flop in comparison to the modern warfare series. The car that came with this is a joke, 12 batteries? It’s like nice digital cameras too, if you don’t have high end batteries in there it will run extremely slow if it runs at all.

It’s Call of Duty, ’nuff said

This game, though a bit of a stretch & break from Modern Warfare, was equally satisfying. I’m not always able to really get online & play a lot of games as before due to working in IT (information technology), I was able to walk away from this game really fulfilled even from just the campaign mode. Of course, I play on the hardest difficulty level right from the get-go so I can get that “this-game-feels-a-bit-long” & feel like I’ve earned completing the game rather than those “I beat this in 5 minutes” guys. This title was cinematic & drew a very fine line between my most two favorite passtimes: games & movies.Good job, Treyarch.

    Pretty Fun Toy

This review is mainly about the toy that comes with the prestige edition. Playing with the RC-XD was a blast ,but it easily gets damage. The quality of the camera and the display kinda sucks when compared to things such as smartphones especially now when everyone is spoiled because of companies such as Samsung and Nokia with their Galaxy and Lumia flagship smartphones respectively. The RC-XD is relatively slow compared to actual hobby-grade cars. Black Ops is a fun game ,and it was really fun playing zombies and multiplayer with friends. If you want to buy then car, I highly recommend that you buy the prestige edition since currently, the prestige edition is cheaper then the actual toy itself on Amazon.
