    The bluetooth functionality is unusable

The blue tooth functionality is essentially unusable – if it were not sold as a wireless product I would be rating higher. Before you purchase I would encourage you to lookup sk621 bluetooth issues that way you know what you are getting into. I am currently using this keyboard less than 6 inches away from my laptop and I experience lag stuttering and occasionally a bug where it tyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyypes the same letter for ages often worse than the example here. If there is anything in between the keyboard or if the keyboard is more than about a foot away is is unusable. Good luck typing passwords when it spontaneously is adding 3 or 30 extra characters at random. Or gaming lol.Wired performance is working as expected. And its gorgeous and low profile. These issues are related to the keyboard not anything in my setup as it happens no matter what PC or OS I pair it with and I don’t have other blue tooth devices in this area.I wouldn””””””””’t reeeeeeeeccommmmmmend this keyboard to anyoneee that is needing a wireleeeeess keyboard. (These aaaaare not keystroke errors on my part honestly) I wish I could return it but sadly I did not test wireless function until after my return period ended. Literally 4 or 5 inches from my laptop and has line of sight. Horrendous.

    Returned barely opened

This keyboard is really terrible. I envy people who find this comfortable. It is not really low profile, and has a terrible increase angle. I opened it, put on the table and had a bad feeling. I returned it almost untouched as there was no way for me to position my hands comfortably to access number row. Your hands must be really big to find a good typing flow on this. I wish I had watched a video (youtube) by Dave Lee titled “Avoid These Keyboards!”. That explained a lot!

Great purchase and great low profile keyboard

I really wanted a low profile mechanical rgb keyboard with rgb capabilities and metal top plate. Very pleased when I received this product, the low cherry red switches feel good, no knock offs. I was slightly hesitant as this is not used for gaming, mainly typing and regular use, but I am able to type okay. Quality of key board can’t be understated, the aluminum top plate really adds a superior quality, and rgb lights are solid (out rim along the keyboard in addition to key, nice touch). Braided cable is quality. One of my favorite features is that this keyboard does not require software to enable/change/modify rgb settings. If on the fence with this keyboard, just buy it. I will be looking for more Cooler Master keyboards in the future. My honest opinion.

    Extra Keycap set is included!!

Very good keyboard. They also included a Full SET of extra Keycaps because most bad reviews were about how close together the current keycaps are. The new Keycap set has normal looking and not “square like” like the original one.

    Great Keyboard, But Not Perfect

I really like this keyboard. It’s one of the sleekest TKL keyboards I’ve seen on the market. The RGB lighting is great, with over 20+ features available. Build quality is pretty good, except for the cheap plastic plate on the bottom. Other than that, the brushed aluminum upper case and key caps feel great. The keys are a bit close together, which can make typing a bit hard at first, but you get used to it, just like any other keyboard.I hope they can improve the quality of the bottom plate and add adjustable legs to customize the keyboard angle in future models.Great for gaming. I’ve had no issues playing the new Modern Warfare. Great keyboard overall, but not perfect. I’d recommend trying it out, but it isn’t for everyone.

    Meh

Looks good. Probably well built. I’ve only been using it an hour or two. Like the backlighting. Like the device control keys. Key springs “twang”. Not loudly but truly. Keys bottom out with a very big click noise. The keyboard I planned to replace with this (a Kensington K72357USA) is practically silent when hitting bottom. The keys sit high like miniature sky scrapers. I like using the stilts on the backs of most keyboards to give the board a slight slant. Though this one lacks the stilts, the base itself is slightly slanted. Keyboards are weird animals. I had higher hopes for this one what with all the hype about the new Cherry keys. Maybe it will grow on me.

Absolutely Stunning but with some caveats.

This keyboard is an absolutely stunning piece of equipment but it does come with some caveats. I purchased the ten-keyless version which means it doesn’t come with the number pad.Let me tell you about the pros first. The keyboard is beautiful. The Led backlighting is completely cutomizable with the Cooler Master software. Although I wouldn’t consider it to be “low profile” the keyboard is lower than most keyboards. The switches themselves feel good. They are completely silent aside from when the key bottoms out. The keyboard is very compact and the spacing between keys is low to make it a bit smaller. I purchased the ten-keyless version so I have plenty of space on my desk due to its compact nature. The keyboard is also very sturdy with an aluminum brushed top finish. Now for the cons. Like I stated previously, the keys are very close together. This allows the keyboard to looks fantastic however this means that if you have bigger fingers it’s very easy to press more than one key. I personally like the keys being closer but there is a pretty steep learning curve because of this. The keyboard also doesn’t come with adjustable feet so if you like your keyboards slightly elevated you will need to use another item to prop it up.Aside from this the keyboard is great. The setup is extremely simply however it’s not too clear where to get the software for the added customization. Once you figure that out though, the software is easy to use, even with support for macros. The keyboard uses a Type-C to USB cable which is great for travelling if you have an Android device which let’s you take one less cable. The keyboard also comes with a nice travel bag out of the box which is very convenient.I wouldn’t have bought this keyboard knowing this learning curve existed however I have it now and I quite enjoy it. I hope this helped someone deciding whether or not to buy this keyboard.

    It’s really not good.

I’m just going to review the typing experience, and this thing is going back in the box after I’m done typing this review on it. I cruise at about 110-120wpm and can peak at about 140wpm if I’m typing simple sentences. I’ve owned probably 15 different brands of keyboards and used a dozen different switch types. The flat keys are awkward. The keys resistance changes dramatically if you don’t hit it dead center, where the keys don’t feel smooth at all if you hit them on the edge. The keys are coated in a very “gritty” feeling paint which makes it so it’s hard to get my finger off quickly when they’re flying around moving to the next key. The keys also feel like they have a really long stroke to bottom out, where I was expecting something shorter and more truly low profile. I’ve hard better experiences on $30 keyboards, this one is super mediocre for costing nearly $100.It gets one star back for being aesthetically very clean looking. The top plate is plastic and not real metal, but the LED glow is very bright and consistent on all the keys. It’s a nice “poser” keyboard if you want something to look good in pictures.

I should have listened to the reviews

Like many of you guys, I thought this would be the perfect keyboard for me, as a very fast laptop typist, so much so that I ignored the hundreds of reviews laying out all the problems with this product. It was a mistake. This is not a good keyboard.Let’s start with the good: the build quality on this thing is fantastic. Some of the best I’ve ever seen on a keyboard. And it’s beautiful to look at, too.As for typing—it’s a nightmare. I had read that there was a problem with the keycaps and that they had fixed them, but I didn’t realize that you still needed to special order (for free, although there is no delivery window given and I assume it will take weeks before I get my replacement) the new/better keycaps, and that the boxed version here on Amazon still ships with the original caps. It is *nearly impossible* to type accurately on the default keycaps. I’m someone who can put out 120+ wpm on a laptop keyboard, and nearly as much on a long throw mechanical keyboard. On this thing, after a bunch of practice, I was able to hit 78 without errors. The problem is that the caps are all super close together, and due to the nature of the switch design, you will readily actuate multiple keys at once, so you just end up typing *super* sloppy. Plus, the short throw red switches just feel awful to type on regardless. They are mushy and bleh. No keycap can fix a mediocre switch. There are also some layout annoyances, like the tiny right shift button, plus a confusingly designed Caps Lock LED which actually indicates that bluetooth is connected (!).The bluetooth on this thing sucks. It takes 10-15 seconds to connect, compared to my former “unknown Chinese brand” keyboard which would (and still does) connect within a second. The included software is a nightmare. Good luck actually getting the settings you want to stick, and then attempting to navigate your way through all of the different shortcuts on the keyboard that don’t come with any documentation in the box (you have to dig through their website to find it), and even once you know what they do, they don’t work half the time anyway. The best part is that as you are changing settings, all sorts of LED sequences on the keyboard light up as if they’ve some kind of confirmation, but good luck figuring out whatever CM is trying to tell us with these undocumented sequences of lights.Lastly, the (lack of) angle on the device is bad, especially with the grippy and too-close-together keycaps. It feels like you have to bend your wrist over to properly type in such a fashion as to not constantly double up on keystrokes, which is terrible for your wrist.

Perfect for work. No issues at all. However, I have higher-than-average fine motor skills.

My daily driver at home is a Logitech G815 with Romer-G Low-Profile Tactiles. I maintain separate incidentals for personal and work devices. (There are reasons for this, but it’s not relevant here.)Given that I refuse to risk my precious G815 by plugging it into that network like some kind of monster, I needed a new keyboard for work. It needed to be inexpensive enough to sacrifice if necessary (flashing firmware has worked so far, but I don’t bet on it), wired, good enough to take a beating, low-profile, as quiet as possible, and at least semi-enjoyable to work with. I gave preference to backlit boards because I work in a room lit only by lots of bright screens. This seemed like it would fit the bill. I bought it renewed because it was only about $40 and I didn’t know for sure if it would work. No regrets. It’s by far the best keyboard I’ve ever had for work. It lit up a nice solid purple color & I haven’t wanted to change it or make any new lighting effects yet. I’ll update if there are any issues when I give that a go. I’m also replacing some keycaps today & will update if something unexpected happens. In my line of work, seconds can matter at times. This board doesn’t get in my way. I’m faster on it, in fact, because I only need to press a tiny bit to actuate. I can also rest my fingers on the keys just fine without actuating.I’m not bothering with any board-specific macro recordings. Autohotkey works for just about everything. It’s basically silent & the low profile reds are about as close to a tactile feel as I’ve been able to get out of a linear switch (but it’s still definitely linear.) I bought this with more consideration for sound than feel, but I don’t hate the feel. It’s softer than I’d like, but that same softness helps me maintain a consistent typing speed without fatigue for hours on end. It’s a great “endurance” keyboard. If you don’t bottom out your keys or slam your hands into the thing, you won’t have any problems. And it’s oh-so-quiet. My coworkers often don’t notice me coming in, unloading my stuff (we hotdesk), and starting work. It’s light enough that it doesn’t add any noticeable weight to my backpack. The velvet carrying case & dual-ended USB is a nice touch. Perfect for anyone who has to drag everything on their desk to and from work every day.I love this thing and I’m glad I didn’t let the bad reviews dissuade me. For anyone with experience doing things that require higher-that-average fine motor skills (fiddly types of craftwork, drawing, surgery) this should not be a problem. I suspect that type of experience may be why I’m having a really easy time with this thing, anyway.Tl; dr: I can still type really fast. Absolutely love it. It’s basically silent if you don’t bottom out your keys. That said, I have higher-than-average fine motor skills so your mileage may vary.
