Not without it’s issues – An objective look

I’ve worn HyperX headsets for the past 4+ years (Cloud, Cloud II, Cloud Alpha) so I have a good basis of comparison. Here is a list of my complaints coming from a Cloud Alpha:1. Not as comfortable. The earpad cushioning is worse, not as soft or plush. They also tend to shift around too much when on my head. Never head these issues with past Cloud headsets.2. Sometimes the Xbox doesn’t recognize the headset after booting up. You’ll get audio but it doesn’t recognize there is a microphone. I’ve had it not work at all after turning on the Xbox. Annoying but just unplugging and replugging the receiver fixes it for me.3. No way to adjust mic monitoring. Holding down the mute button for 3 seconds turns mic monitoring off and on but there is now way to adjust the amount/level of mic monitoring. The default level is way too high, picks up too much background, and for that reason causes a slight hiss at all times when on.4. Mushy buttons. There are two buttons on the side of the headset that adjust the chat mixer levels. One of them was super mushy, the other had a satisfying tactile click. I got a replacement from Amazon and had the same issue. Inexcusable at this price range.5. No variable EQ settings6. No way to see the battery level on Xbox, on the headset when turned on, or when charging.7. No Mac support. I’ve read on their subreddit several accounts of the older Cloud Flight working fine on Macs. Well I plugged in the received to my Mac and it’s not recognized.A decent first effort at a native Xbox headset by HyperX but you have to ask yourself if some of these trade-offs (especially the comfort and mic-monitoring issues) are worth it given the premium for wireless ($130-160 MSRP). I’m hoping HyperX can fix some of these updates in future software patches, but as of right now this product feels really half-baked.

4.5 out of 5. Awesome Headset

The headset is amazing, it fits very well and I could use it for hours without my ears getting warm or anything. The quality is nice, its a thick plastic but still feels great on hands. The features are awesome and the set up is too easy.Cons:The mic is grabage, Its not too bad but I’d recommend maybe a filter on it. My friends told me that my voice sounds a bit more crips with a filter than without it. ( EXPECT THIS FROM ANY WIRELESS HEADSET )The ear cups are a bit too loose for me, so what I did was switch them with my old pair of HyperX’s which makes the headset way more comfy and just more closed to the outside.I would def recommend this headset. I would suggest messing around with the volume as sometimes its very punchy, but once you get it right, the game changes. Some people say you can’t really hear steps and stuff but at least I do, I can tell very clearly, its not the greatest sound stage but steps and stuff are still very noticable and easy to point out (Again, I recommend messing around with the volume). Its okay for music, nothing crazy.

Best Wireless Headset for Xbox One

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.

Astro A50’s are overpriced. Turtle Beach Stealth 700 are literal garbage. Steelseries Arctis 9X have insane connection issues and do not fit larger heads.HyperX CloudX Flight are as close to perfect as I could ask for. They are extremely comfortable, fit all head sizes, have incredible battery life, and the sound quality is great. Mic monitoring on these is immaculate. Unlike other headsets, the mic monitoring does not decrease in volume when you lower game volume. There is a game/chat mix option. The lighting on the side can be left on, set to breathing, or turned off entirely (increase in battery life). Battery has been great so far. Charged them out of the box and have not have to recharge in 6 nights of gaming. Audio has been wonderful. Plenty of punch out of this headset.Seriously, skip the other unreliable BS and don’t pay a fortune. HyperX consistently makes great quality, comfortable products at AFFORDABLE prices. Couldn’t be happier I got these.

Perfect Wireless Headset for Xbox One

Hyper X has been my number one trusted headset brand for years because they sound great, they’re made well, and most of all, they’re always the most comfortable headset I use. And trust me, I’ve been through A LOT, trying to find the best one. HyperX CloudX Flight is no exception. This is the perfect wireless headset for Xbox One. Immediately, I was impressed with how easy it was to set up, how comfortable they were, and how great they sounded. You literally plug a USB wireless adapter into your Xbox and you’re good to go! I’ve been using them almost every day for long gaming sessions and I can’t recommend these enough.PROS1. Super easy to set up.2. Extremely comfortable (I wear them for extended periods of time with no pressure on the top of my head or ears).3. Sound great.4. Long-lasting battery life (never ran out of battery life and I charge every once in a while).5. Strong wireless signal (I can go in another room or downstairs away from my Xbox and still hear everything perfectly).6. Super customizable and durable (removable mic and replaceable ear cups. I already swapped out the comfortable leather cups for the extra fuzzy cups from my other Hyper X pair just because I like to hear people talking next to me).7. Great sounding mic (friends complained of mic quality of other mics. But never this headset).8. Easy to use buttons (to adjust things like overall volume, and favor between voice chat and game volume)9. The headset Hyper X logo lights up! It’s pretty cool if you’re into that sort of thing and want to show off a little. But you can also turn it off.10. WIRELESS! This was my first wireless headset and my favorite one out of the handful that I tried out and instantly fell in love with.CONS1. Wish there was a battery indicator (but this isn’t too much of a negative because I’ve never ran out of battery while gaming and it’s easy to get in the habit of charging every night after you finish playing).Other than that, I can’t think of any.If you’re thinking about going wireless and are looking for your first wireless headset, then this is the PERFECT one for you! Going wireless feels so awesome after using wired headsets for so many years. For me, with how much I loved my other Hyper X wired headsets, this wireless headset was the perfect upgrade.Love Hyper X.

Great wireless option for Xbox One

Headset looks nice, fits comfortably on my head and ears, sound is great, easy to setup. The microphone picks up sound easily and has a mic monitoring option so you can hear yourself talk.

    Sound issues

Product connects but sound cuts in and out often. I have tried two of these head sets and neither fixes the issue and all of my xbox ports. However the mic works even with no sound in the headset.

Say goodbye to wires without compromising quality! CloudX is a beast for Xbox lovers!

This headset is definitely one of a kind. A true gem that is dedicated to the Xbox experience. I absolutely love it, although it comes with inherent tradeoffs.PROS:-Sound is extremely immersive and outstanding quality.-Fully wireless headsets for Xbox chat is a rare thing to find of this quality. No more mic wires!-The connectivity built into this headset specifically for Xbox feels sophisticated, with no discernable lag.-Amazing comfort. Can where for a few hours without noticing, being lost in the soundscape.-The buttons work as expected. Very easy to turn mic on a off. Has a clear voice connection.-Maximum volume is just right, with high volume sound effects coming in clear. Pop/crackle-free.-HyperX novelty, being one of the most sophisticated Xbox licenced headsets on the market.-Good signal strength as far as distance clarity and usability.-Windows Sonic for Headphones greatly demonstrates the speaker quality. Prepped and ready to rock!-There is likely forward compatibility with the next gen of Xbox.CONS:-There is no analog 3.5 mm jack for audio/mic, limiting its usability to Xbox and Windows 10 through its USB wireless receiver or USB cable only.-The battery has no visual or audio gauge. You have no clue how much battery is left. It shows as plugged in on Xbox but the battery bar is default blank. The headset in itself does not announce volume levels, unlike other brands.-The button interface supplants the on-screen interface to toggle chat/game volume levels.-HyperX has provided new firmware for their headsets in the past, and will hopefully do that for CloudX!!!!-Same goes to you Microsoft driver engineers!!!!Overall:If you are looking for a care-free headset that is sophisticated and designed to enhance the Xbox experience, this headset is a joy to own and use. It has a novel feel and look like a collectors item (it combines all the features and quality of all HyperX Xbox headsets minus analog). I needed a headset that was going to be dedicated to my Xbox, and rarely can you get a truly compatible product of this caliber outside of Microsoft. It is designed with a focus on mobility and the sound quality/synchrony and feel of the headset seems beefed up for that purpose. I gave it ‘5 stars’ because the cons are only cons if you are expecting a use-for-anything headset, as Xbox puts a hefty price on their high-quality patented technology. This ‘compatibility barrier’ that the CloudX overcomes is the product of the difference quality standards between PS4 and Xbox! I use more business-professional headphones for non-Xbox purposes. It doesn’t take long to charge and the battery life lasts so long, the lacking battery gauge barely crosses my mind because using them is so fun. I let batteries run out anyway to maintain their lifespan.Cannot go wrong with these if you love Xbox!

    Do not buy!

Pros- it lights up!!!And the mute feature is cool bc u can do it hands free.Cons- basically everything else.1- doesnt connect properly2- sounds like death3- its all plastic and for comfort in all plastic its not bad but the ear muffs are leather meaning 30 mins in and u have sweat around ur ears. Gross.4- $160… $160??? I thought it would atleast sound good. Heres a crazy reference for u. I spent $100 less on astro a10 headset and i can hear an enemy in fps on the floor above me. With this headset i cant hear anything and i cant hear anyone trying to talk to me outside this headset. Which would be fine if it wasnt bc a treble bomb was going off in my ear. There is no bass which u have to have to be able to hear your games properly. If ur looking for a headset dont get these get astro a10’s only $60 they sound great and they are reliable. I definitely diserve a refund for this trash.

Ok, these are 100% worth it

I’ve gone through COUNTLESS headphones. Why? I have a weird obsession with having to try every pair of headphones offered on the market. I’ve tried Astro a40s with the Mixamp, the Gen 3 A50s, the steelseries arctis 3, razer kraken, razer thresher ultimates, and others. So, what makes these different? They’re simple. They work. They sound great. When you purchase these, you’ll open up the box, take out the headphones, plug in the usb receiver, and that’s it. They’ll work. At first, the ear pads are a little stiff. Give them a week or two and they’ll soften up. This headset is very light and it really is comfortable. My favorite feature of these? THE MIC MONITORING IS AMAZING. So, if you hold the mic mute button for three seconds, it will turn on the mic monitoring, and the best part about it is that IT DOES NOT CHANGE WITH THE VOLUME. The mic monitoring stays at the same volume regardless of how much game or chat volume you have coming through your headset. It works, and it works flawlessly. The battery is phenomenal. I can play for like a week straight before these bad boys need to charge. I really just can’t say enough good things about this headset. The wireless connection is just fine with no noticeable lag and they definitely get loud enough. I’d call this…. the PERFECT wireless headset.

    Perfect Xbox One Wireless Headset

Bought the CloudX Flight after returning my Arctis 9x due to connection issues. It would just lose signal intermittently. The Flight have been Rock solid thus far. I used the regular Flights when I had a PS4 and loved them but they would not work wirelessly with the Xbox One. This new CloudX Flight actually improves on the original by adding microphone monitoring, game and chat balance along with a led indicator for when the microphone is muted. I did swap ear pads for the HyperX Sportsweave with Cooling Gel as I’m not a fan of leatherette. They make a already comfortable headset even more comfy. Sound quality is excellent and the microphone comes across crystal clear according to people I played with
