Key Features

  • Cops vs. Racers – Racers are lone wolves out for their own glory; driving agile cars built for high-speed racing and epic chases. Cops work in teams to hunt down and bust racers using the full power of the police force.  Intense racing moments are made even more thrilling with access to upgradeable pursuit technology customized to each side.
  • High Stakes Rivalry – Watch the stakes grow through a new scoring system that lets racers risk their speed points to shoot for higher multipliers and greater rewards, or bank their speed points safely when they return to a hideout. The more risk you take on, the faster you can progress, but get busted by the cops and they take your speed points as a reward.
  • All Drive — This revolutionary new feature lets you seamlessly join a world where your friends are already racing and chasing. Single-player and multiplayer are no longer isolated game modes. There are no lobbies, no waiting; everything is seamless.
  • Your Car, Your Identity — Power up your car with the latest upgrades in pursuit of technology and personalize your bodywork with fresh paint jobs, liveries, custom license plates, rims, and decals to show off your car to the world. With millions of potential combinations, you can save different configurations and keep a variety of car packages on alert to leave your mark no matter the situation.
  • NFS Network — NFS Network will be the hub for continuing your racing and chasing with access to stats, leaderboards, and content uploads direct from the game. Breakdown what’s happening in your friends’ worlds in real-time to see how All Drive has shaped who owns what in their world. Also in the Network, engage with Need for Speed Rivals from the web, tablet, or mobile in Overwatch, a mini-game that connects you with the console/PC game by letting you help or hinder your friends to earn points towards exclusive paint jobs.   Keep a watch on all the other players in your world using a real-time map that locates the cops before you start a race, or quickly find out which hideout is closest for you or your friend to bank Speed Points.  Drop police roadblocks and helicopters, or alert friends of inbound cops.

    Good game

Game is fun & with really nice graphics & gameplay. first need for speed i’ve played since “most wanted” so i really don’t know how it matches up to the others. only downside to the game that i found was that i finished it rather quickly.

    Decent game, GT games better

Pretty good game, story line was a little redundant and opening vehicles tough. GT games seem a little more engaging

    Really good arcade fun

If you’ve played the previous open world NFS or Burnout, this is much of the same. That is not a bad thing because driving super cars and super speeds is just plain fun. I like the online component but I do wish you could get together with friends and screw around together like in Burnout Paradise. The graphics are pretty good even with the minor visual glitches now and then. Load times are a little long and it’s a quite annoying to have to load into the garage every time you wreck…worth the price!

This game is almost as good as Hot Pursuit (2010)

It’s a decent game. Great graphics and soundtrack. Huge game to explore. The single player is fun but the multiplayer is lacking. It’s not as fun as Hot Pursuit (PS3, 2010). Also the controls remind me of The Run, drifting takes some time to get used to. There should be more camera angles. The AI is much smarter in this game compared to previous games. If the multiplayer and controls were better I’d give it 5 stars.

Best Arcade Racing Game Out There

Great game, lots of fun. Looks and feels about as real as it can get at this point in time especially for an Arcade type game. Great fun!!. The open world along with the ability to be Cop Or Racer at anytime is great. The online player interaction really makes this game. Caution: This game is really addicting and there are some really good players out there.

    goood game

good game if you want to just drive. not really any “missions” to speak of. you accomplice a list a tasks to perform to increase your rank and get “speed points”, which are like money. you will see other players in your game. it is always online and you can challenge other racers to race. you can play as a racer or as a cop.

Graphics: 5 Stars Gameplay: 1 Star Total Score: 3 Stars

I would have liked to have given this game five stars, but the driving isn’t very good. Which is kind of a big deal in a racing game. I find my car drifting where it shouldn’t, turning when I don’t, etc. It’s just not a very realistic driving game. The driving reminds me of those old piece of crap video games we used to play in the 80s.But, why give it three stars? Because the few times I DO play it, it’s okay. It’s not the worst game I’ve played. But, it’s not really worth the money I paid for it, either. I’ve never finished it and won’t ever finish it because the driving is so bad that it’s impossible to beat certain missions. Which is too bad. I really love the old Need for Speed franchise.I don’t know who bought the franchise, but they should be fired. It’s a sad testament when a game actually gets worse with each incarnation. Especially when technology just keeps improving. Oh well. If you buy Rivals, you won’t be disappointed in the graphics. But, you’ll probably hate the game play.
