Fantastic deal, arrived quickly. If you’re new to the switch, I think it has 32gig internal storage, but be aware if you’re planning on buying games like Zelda that require a lot more, purchase a micro sd card compatible with switch — I’ve seen 128gig for about $20, helps so you have room for more games.This bundle comes with a free download for Mario cart 8. It also comes with a single grip for the two controllers (didn’t know that when purchasing) pleasant surprise. But you might want a pro controller. (Sure starts to add up;)

Do not buy. Ripoff. So much cheaper if you buy console and game separate.

I don’t write many of these and I must admit this review is slightly premature, but given my history with Nintendo, I have good faith they manufacture quality products. I bought this as a Christmas present for my girls, but of course I had to get it out to check it out and set it up. It is a good thing I did. Once it was hooked it up to our WiFi, it required a system update. I was also able to input a few parental settings. This is completed using a parental controls mobile app. (This is also a great tool to see how much your kids are playing as it sends time updates if you request them.) We also downloaded the Mario Kart game. Depending on the speed of your WiFi, this could take 30-60 minutes on top of the previous setup, totaling approximately and hour and a half. I hope this review is helpful for planning. Before placing it back in the package to wrap, my husband and I each played a time trail race, for quality testing of course, and we were very impressed with the graphics and variety of courses and options! On Christmas morning, it will be true benefit to have it ready to play out of the box! I’ll be ready to play right along with them!

So far I am enjoying my Switch quite a bit. I love to be able to play great games on the go, and it seems like this is going to be the best way to do that for the foreseeable future. I have gamed on the PSP and PS Vita before but those don’t like they are going to be continued so this was my best replacement.For a home-gaming console, like every other Nintendo platform since the gamecube, you will most likely end up only using this for the Nintendo exclusives, almost every other game is going to look better and be cheaper on another system. That said if it is your only console option, there are lots of other good games available for it, but if you can play them elsewhere you probably will.As a Wii U owner I also felt very burned by the fact that the grand majority of good titles for the Switch are Wii U re-releases at FULL PRICE. From a business perspective I understand them needing to recoup expenses after the failure of the Wii U but they have totally burned anyone who bought those games at full price for the Wii U. If I could get those games at reduced prices because I already bought them once, or if they were 39.99 instead of 59.99 I would have spent a lot more money with them.In fact I waited until now to get a Switch because they finally released a new Smash Brothers, in a year hardly anything noteworthy had been released that you couldn’t have played already on the Wii U.In the end this is probably the best mobile gaming platform for the next 5 years, so I bit the bullet and have been enjoying it. But I could be enjoying it much more if Nintendo wasn’t trying to make up for the fact that the Wii U was a flop.

Ordered this for my son for Christmas. If you are over 30 and not into gaming systems, the setup can be a bit difficult and long. He also got Fortnite (separate gift) and it took The Mario game and Fortnite about an hour to hour and half to download. Let’s put it this way… the download began before dinner and didn’t finish until after desert and drinks. For an adult that’s too long and for a 10 year old, it’s even longer. There weren’t too many instructions (I mean none) so it wasn’t immediately clear that I needed to set up a parent account and user and then a kids’s account and user. I had to call Nintendo for instructions and they told me I’d set it up wrong. Also, as an FYI, if you let a kid under 13 use the main parent account, Nintendo will delete your account according to some Federal guideline. Their customer service was excellent though.I’m still having issues with getting a wireless headset to work with this system as Nintendo has not developed one yet. We got the Zelda headphones with mic so he could play Fortnite with it but it only works with some weird wire connection with the console and a cell phone. But it requires him to stand beside our 50 inch tv when it’s in the docking station (as you can imagine that’s not gonna work).UPDATE: we returned the Zelda headphones and got wireless ones instead: Logitech G933. These work perfect with the system and for playing Fortnite. After you charge them, Just plug the usb into the console and start playing.
