Good at First, “R” Key Failing After 5 Months
When I first purchased this keyboard (April 2020), it worked well, but after about 5 months, the “R” key began to fail (starting in September). Sometimes it will register multiple key strokes, sometimes it will delay registering a keystroke for up to a second, sometimes it won’t register keystrokes at all. Just in this review, I’ve had to edit most of the Rs that I’ve typed/attempted (because of either the keyboard registering two strokes, one late, or none at all).The below is an example of me typing this review without fixing the r-key errors.”When I first purrchased this keyboard (Aprril 2020), it woked well, but after about 5 months, the “R” key began to fail (starrting in September). I really like this keyboard for the price. I have spent three times as much on keyboard with this many features. The keys are very responsive and have a nice click to them but not to loud but you know when you hit the key. I connected immediately to the computer with no extra downloads or software. The RGB lighting is really cool and has lots of different settings, it even has a control button/knob on the keyboard it self to control the lighting. you can push it to get different lighting or turn it to dim or brighten the lighting. Overall really nice keyboard for the price.

Overall great design, though some QC issues
What was right?The metal keyboard deck is very sturdy and rigid, while not too heavy.The clicky blue switches feel and sound great, and don’t give a metalic hum.My favorite part – the volume knob. Just great. Tactile rotation, textured metal, great size.The led effects and customizable presets are good.Nice magnetic wrist rest and braided cable.What was wrong?Space bar and one other key we’re not attached correctly. The space bar took me a long time to bend and fix.The home row led lights never worked.What I didn’t understand:The key light colors aren’t changeable. There are different set colors for different groups of keys.Overall impression:Fantastic bargain. I’ll continue to use it for my typing keyboard.

I’m SOLD! What a crazy steal lol
I have a work keyboard which is a “mechanical feel” keyboard and it’s cool I guess but it makes errors. As soon as this thing was plugged in I was completely sold. Never will I go back to anything else, more specifically I think that this Phillips version at its price is crazy steal lol. If I had tried it before knowing a price I would have paid much more for it.Lighting effects: The lighting effects are vibrant and versatile. I prefer full color all the time but as i was previewing the others I was like woah.. This would def be awesome if I gamed more. It even has a effect where when you press a key only that key will light up and slowly fade away.Rest pad: This is cool too, wish it wasn’t magnetic cos it moves sometimes.Construction: The metal frame makes it A LOT better to type on, it’s like a damper almost. Love it!

Simple to use. I have uploaded my video so anyone can see it in action. No bloatware needed for it to work. It is plug and play and just works. Windows 10 automatically detects it and install appropriate driver for it. The keys are responsive which is good. To be honest, i can’t tell the differences among these keyboards. They are built with the same mechanism and quality i think. I know for sure that the keys are responsive and i can see letters appear fast on my screen. Great product for a cheaper price. Another thing, no additional software to be installed. That is great.

Excellent Budget mechanical keyboard 5/5
High quality aluminum body, magnetic wrist rest and plenty of key travel. Sound of keys are great, not to noisy nor can you hear that annoying mechanical grind from the spring like other mechanical keyboards. The dial has many use cases and it’s so convenient to have. RGB is very bright but not to the point of being annoying and it also has many RGB effects. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this keyboard from Philllips. Much better than any other generic or some other know brand keyboards.

I recommend this keyboard.
I don’t really care for the light show that is probably par for the course these days, but I managed to get it to where the lights just stay on all the time, which is good enough.Having said that, they key action is great and that is what I was after. Light, smooth and consistent. I use it for writing code rather than gaming, and this works great.

Incredible value for price
I spend most of my day typing, so the keyboard I use is important to me. This is one of the best keyboards I’ve bought for the price. The switches are very crisp and not loud. The keyboard feels solidly built, and the wrist rest is comfortable. The wrist rest attaches to the keyboard with a magnet, which is very convenient and a design decision that makes moving and stowing the keyboard really easy. The RGB lighting is aesthetically pleasing as well, and can be turned off if it isn’t your thing. I’m amazed this keyboard was only $30. Definitely one of my top 10 Amazon purchases!

Good bang per buck ratio
Compact form factor compared to the Mech5 it’s standing in for. As it goes in a slide-out, needed something lighted and this works great. Slightly noisier than Brown switches, but not obnoxious. Media keys work fine for itunes – don’t know about other apps. Still hoping there’s a way to individually change key’s color and brightness for EFT, but the generic included preset is adequate. Instructions provided either A: don’t make sense or B; don’t work. They’re a little cryptic so don’t know which it is yet.

Lighting effects are OK, typing seems to be very tactile and accurate. The structure is solid aluminum with no flex.The clickity clack is extremely loud. I needed a new keyboard for my gaming/streaming rig and the mic picks up every keystroke so not sure if I’m going to keep it.(Update: August 2020, The left control key stopped working and trying to get customer support is awful. The E-mail link is broken and the operator on the phone speaks such broken english she is unintelligible. I guess at this price point I can afford to throw it away. Disappointing.)
