    So far so good

I just bought this, but so far everything’s working well. The box did come in pretty grungy shape and unsealed, but the system looks fine and pristine, and the firmware wasn’t very recent. So I’m hoping it was just sitting around for a while, which is why the box looked like it did, and not a refurbished or used one, since I paid for new.As for the functioning of the system, the sad thing is that Sony doesn’t really support Vita anymore, so the PS store is pretty pitiful. Not many games on sale at any given time, and not a great selection of quality games most of the time, nor is it very easy for me to find the sort of stuff I’d be interested in. But I’m primarily interested in playing physical games, so that’s not a huge deal. My main gripe is the controls. It seems like a system made for child hands, as gripping it to try to play a complex game like an FPS is very uncomfortable. It’s not very well-designed in terms of the controls. Though, again, since I mainly got this to play visual novels, that’s not really a huge deal for me. It doesn’t affect my primary use of the system, but it does make it much less desirable for playing any normal games (that require quick and complex control action) that I might want to try.I really wish Sony would port some of the Vita-exclusive games that are really popular over to the PS4, like Persona 4 or the Uncharted game. The PS4 controller is great.I don’t know. I’m only in my 30s, but I’ve been noticing lately that my hands just can’t tolerate tiny portable consoles the way they used to, even on my 3DS (and don’t get me started on how terrible the Switch’s Joy Cons are). But in the case of the Vita, I really think part of the problem is the inclusion of those little analog sticks. Especially on the right side. It really gets in the way of me using the actual buttons, and in order to switch from the buttons to the stick, you have to shift your whole grip on the machine. And since I like to hold it up in front of my face (rather than having to look down at it), that really doesn’t work out well.Overall, a good system that looks terrific, but if you have non-petite hands and/or don’t like to have the thing practically sitting in your lap as you play, maybe manage your expectations.

A must buy for Vita owners.

Don’t believe anyone else with the original Vita. LED isn’t terrible, it shows darker textures, and doesn’t make the picture look so saturated. The rear touch screen is smaller but still responds just as well. The Japanese Import Vita does have the X and O reversed on controls on main screen and during game saves, but it isn’t anything to worry about. Battery life is surprisingly good (average of 4.5-5 hours atm.)

    Very good indeed

Delivery was fast, although I did choose expedited shipping. Like most of the others, I bought a used PS Vita. The seller of my item was Diagoro, and I am so glad I chose them! The item was as described and the seller was courteous and would respond promptly whenever I would contact them. They described the item as “very good”, but I didn’t keep my hopes too high up because it was still a used item. But when I received it, wow, I was blown away. Not a single scratch on the screen at all and the Vita was in top condition! It looked almost as if it was new. Of course, when you really take a look at it, you will notice that it’s not completely new because the back has a few scratches (but they are negligible). Overall, I’m very happy with my order.

    Love it!!

Absolutely love this Vita. I’ve been wanting one for a while but was not impressed with the regular ol’ black color that is available in the US. I decided to get the import and I was not disappointed! The color is fantastic and the setup for an import is not hard at all, as soon as you turn it on it gives you the option to set up the system in english. The X and O buttons are reversed from US playstation controls, it can be changed but if you flip the controls it will also reverse the controls when you play a US copy of a game(which load with the normal control settings of a US controller). So I just got use to using the O button to confirm in the o.s.I was able to easily link it to my US playstation network account and download games to play. Don’t forget to get yourself one of the sony memory sticks, I picked up a 64gb on to make sure that I had plenty of room.

Should you buy the PS Vita Slim? Depends.

I bought the Vita Slim since my Original Vita’s audio port stopped working due to corrosion so I decided to get the this one. Regardless of it’s higher price, I really liked this PS Vita Slim. I will list comparisons and new additions of the Vita Slim below.-I was a bit wary of going from the OLED(Original Vita’s screen) to the LCD(Vita Slim’s screen), but in reality there really is no major difference other than saturation differences. The Original Vita’s screen had an over saturated look to it in my opinion. And from my experience from playing the original Vita, the Vita Slim actually has a SLIGHTLY sharper graphics(could be because of the over saturation in the Original Vita causing a bit of a blurry image) and no over saturation. The Vita Slim also seems to be at a lower brightness level than the Original Vita(pretty useful if you’re playing in the dark).-Compared to the original Vita, the Vita Slim has significantly more accessible buttons(Start, Select, PS buttons). The buttons pop out so you don’t have to dig your fingers into the buttons like before. No analog stick differences.-One thing I did notice is the speakers on the Vita Slim sound a bit less surround sound compared to the Original Vita. But sound through earphones sound equally as great to the Original Vita.-The Vita Slim also has 1 GB built into it. If you have a Memory card inserted then the 1 GB will not work, it only functions without having a memory card inserted. The 1 GB is not something too useful, but it’s a neat addition.-While being in the Vita Slim’s menu, you’ll notice the circle and X buttons are flipped, but not in the games.-The back touchpad have been made smaller so the issue of accidentally pressing it will not be a problem like before. But is still very responsive and in my opinion, better-One very great addition is that the battery life lasts way longer than the Original Vita. I used to have issues with the battery life with the Original Vita even though the brightness settings were all the way down. No more battery life issues with the Vita Slim since it lasts about 7 hours compared to the 4 for the Original VIta.-The Vita Slim’s touch screen is as responsive as ever, I think it has a slightly more responsive touch screen based on what I’ve seen so far.-And the Japanese Vita Slim versions have a variety of colors, which is very cool compared to the plain old black. If it’s white, small scratches on it actually look less revealing compared to the black Vita. The Vita Slim is also less heavier.Hope this review helped make up your mind, I recommend it to anyone considering getting a new PS Vita. If you don’t really care about the Vita Slim’s price, then get it. But if you’re on a tight budget, then get the Original Vita, it’s just as great.

    Upgrade?

As a owner of the previous model I am not disappointed with this redesign in anyway. I had my black vita for nearly a year now and it has served me well. too bad I got it and shortly after a newer model was announced. once I heard of its OLED to LCD downgrade I didn’t want to upgrade. Then again this was a new opportunity own a newer vita. since the color scheme is limited to boring black in the US I chose this beautiful light blue/ white and ordered it. the design feels a whole lot better with a sleek new rounder edges. it is noticeably thinner and rounder with bigger finger resting pads at the rear. a problem with the previous model with certain games that accidently activates the rear touch pad leading to cumbersome gameplay( im looking at u Snake Eater HD!!) . after slapping on the screen protector I turned it on and the LCD screen wasn’t really a huge difference from the OLED it just seemed paler in color not as sharp with colors. another feature I needed to have was that it takes a mini usb cable instead of its clunky cumbersome proprietary cable. its a less hassle just taking one cable to work now yay. as for the battery it does seem to last a little longer but then again this vita is still relatively so new maybe a future update will be more accurate. overall the size, battery life, mini usb and a LCD screen does make this worth a purchase.

    It’s definitely worth it

Diagoro is the best seller! I bought the ps vita used but even though the item was used it still works perfectly fine and there is no scratches on it. I ordered the ps vita to entertain myself during quarantine. Throught the waiting period I had some questions about the item and Diagoro as a seller responded really fast. I like the message they sent within the package because of the global situation it makes me appreciate more my ps vita. Thanks Diagoro.

    Beautiful!

So my friend lent me his American black ver. of the vita, and I have to say this version is so much nicer. Just the blue color looks so appealing, it’s definitely more vibrant than the dull looking picture. It’s also a lot slimmer, though I’m not sure if this is because he bought his 1-2 years ago. It’s pretty durable like the other version as well, I’ve had it plain (without a case) in my backpack and no scuffs or scratches. 8)The only weird thing is the X and O buttons are switched. DO NOT SWITCH THEM IN ACCESSABILITY, THIS WILL MESS UP YOU IN GAMES. On most games except Little Big Planet (for some weird reason) they switch the buttons for you as if it were an American PS Vita, so you don’t have to worry really.

    Angel Vita

I got this a while ago. So, long term review. It was worth it. If I’m going to have a Vita, I wanted a unique one and not just one from gamestop. White shows less fingerprints, the bezel is white and the sticks are white. The American versions look awful in comparison. I like how the light blue back gives it some extra flavor. Its no different than an American Vita with the exception of the X and O buttons being switched in SOME games, not all(Uncharted:G. A. = normal, Muramasa = switched). I believe you can adjust the settings, but it doesn’t bother me.All Vita systems are Region free(plays all games, foreign and domestic. Same with memory cards, etc.). Language is selective. The only difference is the color really. This is a genuine Sony product. It’s just from Japan. If you want to own a Vita and have games in mind that you must own, get one that you will be happy with owning. If I would have gotten a plain black one I probably would have sold it. This may be the last time Sony ever makes a handheld device. Might as well have one that isn’t common place(higher resale value in the future).

    Vita is life

My old model was dying so I decided to go for a slim this time. I was a bit skeptical about switching to the LCD screen but once I turned this bad boy on and started playing games on it all my worries flew out the window. The LCD screen still looks amazing and beautiful. And also you can’t go wrong with the slimmer design and longer battery life. It’s too bad Sony never unleashed the Vita’s full potential. All in all the Vita slim is an amazing device.
