Update, be Shocked….Best Headset for cancelling noise while talking to a client

Updated Jan 2019. Just so everyone knows, I have been looking for a Noise-canceling mic headset to use at work office call center. This is so cheap I decided to buy higher end headsets that are also noise-cancelling mic headset.I purchased a Jabra 40 wired, over 70 dollars. I purchased a Blueparrot 450t headset over 125 dollars, and also a Vmoda Boom mic 3.5mm adapter to plug into my Beats.Tested using an Android App called Easy Voice Recorder. Plugged one at a time to my cell phone, and played a Netflix movie for 1 minute 30 seconds. I used the same laptop, played the same movie from the beginning so same amount of sound volume set at 80, that had good movie bass sound effect and actors talking. I sat on the same location from my laptop speakers.Guess what, this Cyber Acoustics blocked out more of the movie sound, less background noise and still took my voice well. Crazy, this under $20 bucks is better than a high-end brand for mic noise-canceling.Original review: I have used many high-end, and some low end, wired and wireless/Bluetooth.I tested this headset ability to cancel out noise and others headset with my cell phone.Use the recording app on my cell phone, and record while driving, with the radio on, and record when a TV is nearby, and record when out in public. And listen to my recordings to hear if any background noise but my voice. This one is the best at blocking out noise, and still very clear with my voice. I do not need to talk loudly, just a normal voice it does well, and even blocks out other noise. My job needs me to talk with clients over the phone and drive while talking on the phone. I travel also and at times at an airport. Sometimes I work in a call center office, this is perfect.I need the best noise canceling mic headset, and this is it so far. Moreover, only cost less than 20 bucks! The materials are not flashy, but they are very good and sturdy, the cord is braided high-end also. I feel comfortable sticking hits in my bag and no break something. On my head for hours is not an issue, it doesn’t squeeze my head too much to create a headache. This is not for music, but it does fine listening to audio books.I recommend this headset, such a deal at this price, and the company specializes in audio/media/speakers.Many headsets that claim noise canceling mic company from China no-name brand that doesn’t specialize in this product, just rebranding the headsets and selling them, they do not do well in canceling noise.Cyber Acoustics is the place I will buy again once this one breaks. I wish they had a wireless one I would like to try it. However, for now, this is perfect for me and such a bargain at this price.

Good Sound Quality but gives me a headache

It came in simple packaging; A clear plastic bag with instructions. I loved that I didn’t have to rip through a box trying to get to my order. However, I feel the headphones could have been better protected though. Not much thought or care was put into the packaging.Pros:It’s the most simple to operate gadget I have ever used. Just plug it into the headset part of your computer, and increase the volume to the highest. It’s so easy to operate that even a 5 year old can use & operate it.I use it for my work from home job & its crisp and clear both ways.Cons:I work for 7 hours & using it into 2-3 hours my ears start to hurt and my head aches for a bit. I start to feel the irritation of wearing something over my head for too long. I wish they added extra padding to the ear phone & head part because the top part that sits on your head is only plastic.Sometimes I have to hold the mic to the front of my lips for people to hear me. That tells me it shifts about a lot.Apart from these if you are looking for sound quality- you will get it from these.

    Not so happy with these.

They seemed great. More comfortable for long periods than the headset I’d had previously. And light, despite their size. Sound was good. But last night, I noticed that when the sound is turned down low using the cord wheel, the sound to the headphones would cut out completely, like it’s getting a short. I’ve only been using them for a week, and they’ve been well cared for. The cord has never been abused or folded at a sharp angle (or any angle) while I’ve had them. But when I received them, they were packaged in an open plastic bag, and the cord WAS at a sharp angle, so maybe that caused the problem. I don’t know what went wrong, but now I’m thinking I’ll have to return them.

    Worst. Sound. Ever.

If I could give these cans a lower rating than 1 star, I would do it happily. Between stereo systems and computers/tablets/phones etc., I have been messing around with acoustics, sound quality, equalizers, speakers and headsets for 50 years. I am no certified tech or anything like that, but I have a good ear for sound. Some people can listen to the same song on a portable boom box, and then on a high end stereo system, and just shrug their shoulders….I’m not that guy. I’ve had cheap headsets, inexpensive headsets, and high end headsets, so I don’t buy $16 headsets like these and expect Sennheiser or Bose quality, or anything close to it. All of that being said, this headset has the worst sound quality of anything I’ve ever put on my head, especially at that price point. I’ve had $5 phone headsets that were orders of magnitude better than these cans. The closest I can come to describing it would be that it sounds like it’s coming through a wall made of burlap sacks packed with mud and covered by 5 feet of blankets. It’s not that the volume is low, it’s just that what comes through sounds horrid. No lows, no highs, no mid-range….just a big mud pie…did I mention that they’re awful? They are reasonably light weight, and they “seem” to be well constructed, but a lot of folks disagree with that assessment, and I’ll never know because I got them yesterday and sent them back for a refund today….no thanks. If you even remotely appreciate sound quality, you can do better by throwing a dart at Amazon’s selection, as long as the dart doesn’t land on this set. Maybe I just got a bad set, but I’m not going to roll the dice on another try….buh bye Cyber Acoustics!

They didn’t work and they also were way too small

I normally don’t leave reviews, because if a product doesn’t work then I will simply return them. In this case, I feel obligated to share my experience due to the fact that there is almost entirely nothing but good reviews-this is what convinced me to buy them actually. The first problem I encountered was they were too small. I wouldn’t say I have a big head, and headsets working has never been an issue for me. I have a picture of my 9 year old sisters hand next to it and they are roughly the same size (a little smaller). They did fit a little snug so maybe its better for kids in Elementary. It honestly disappointed me but it wasn’t a huge problem, I figured I would just gave them to my sister, that was until I realized they didn’t work. Before giving them to her, I wanted my sister to try them out and so we zoom chatted to see the quality of the headphones and I found I could not hear anything she was saying and she couldn’t hear what I was saying. We tried this multiple times, unplugging them, I tried them on her Chromebook and on my Mac and it just had no sound.I’m not sure if I got faulty pair but ultimately this was a fail for me. I will have to go return them and it’s just been a huge inconvenience.

    Good quality

**UPDATE**I’ve had these for a little whole now, and I’m still super impressed. The top of my ears were sore for a couple of days(I wear glasses, and this is 100% why). The sound comes through wonderfully, and the microphone does its job. The only problem I have with this headset, is the fact that the mic is not noise cancelling. You can hear absolutely everything in the background lol**ORIGINAL**I literally just got this, but I’ve already used it a couple different times. The overall feel of these is quite nice. They’re comfortable, I can easily see that they will remain comfortable for extended periods of time (I haven’t had them long enough to know for sure yet). The sound quality is quite nice, the separate volume control really helps, without having to turn your device up. Mic quality (so far) seems to be really good. Even whispering can be heard clearly. The true test will be when I use it for work. I will update after using it for a few days. The only con I see for these(so far) is that the headband part does not adjust. It’s not an issue for me, but I do have a smaller head.

Great sound quality, but terribly uncomfortable!

I needed a headset with a microphone for my online graduate school program. I purchased these because the reviews were mostly positive and I liked the price.First, the good:- Sound quality is nice- Noise cancelling (not the best, but still good at cancelling exterior noise)I’m not sure about the microphone quality. I haven’t heard myself yet, but everyone in my online courses has been able to understand me.Now, the bad:- TERRIBLY UNCOMFORTABLE! I saw reviews that said these weren’t comfortable, but I assumed I would be okay since my head is a bit smaller than average. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE. I’ve worn these for 16 hours over the past 2 days and my ears are so sore and I have a horrible headache. These are incredibly tight and there’s no way to adjust them. I’m honestly not sure what makes them so uncomfortable, all I know is that my head and ears hurt horribly after wearing for about 5 minutes. I will likely continue to use these until I’m able to purchase a more comfortable set, so if these loosen and become more comfortable, I will update this review.- Headset is small. These don’t fit my ears very well and do not sit well on my ears and align with the speaker parts of the headset. Again, there’s no way to adjust these, and I have a smaller-than-average sized head. I feel like these may be better suited for children.Overall, these are good if you need a headset with a mic and don’t want to spend too much for a nicer set or if you won’t be wearing the headset for long periods at a time. But if you’ll be on hours-long zoom calls or anything similar, I would suggest that you continue searching.

Good noise cancelling headphones for this price. Worth for money..

This works pretty great for this price. Noise canceling working great and volume to the other person is very clear and loud. No surrounding noise is getting picked. For this price this product is great. It is on ear headphone and have some sort of cushion. Not that’s well. It also has adjustment on head size so mostly fits everyone.. I pair it with 3.5mm iPhone headphone connector and it works. I tired with RJ9 cable to office phone but not worked. Not sure it is related to RJ9 cable or headphone since I have another pair of RJ9 headphone. But one problem. It is little tight on ears so getting pain after using it for long time. May be need sometime to get relax.

A perfect headset when it doesn’t have a short in it

Our household finally upgraded to smartphones. We have let our ENV3’s carry us until Verizon killed them by not allowing them to run on their network anymore due to them eliminating their 3D network. Our household doesn’t use Wi Fi or Bluetooth so we were looking for a good old fashioned corded headset. This Cyber Acoustics headset is practically perfect in every way. We purchased four of them. Three to use with LG Stylo 5 cell phones and 1 to keep as a spare. It’s good that we purchased a spare because one of the headsets had a short in it. You can tell there is a short in it because it cuts out two or three words every few minutes. The other headsets are working beautifully which is why this product still warrants 5 stars. I’ve used other Cyber Acoustics brand products in the past and never had any problems so I literally think we just got one bad headset and it was not a huge deal or hassle to return. The basic things you need to know about this headset:~3.5 mm sized plug. Fits easily in our cell phones as well as in my laptop computer~Microphone is easy to move back and forth between the left and right side~Noise cancellation blocks all background noise even in a moving vehicle~Easy to wear only one side so you can use it while driving~The cord is made of their proprietary material which is made of nylon so doesn’t get tangled~There’s a volume control on the actual cord so you don’t have to adjust your device’s volumeWhile I use this headset all day while making and answering phone calls my significant other only uses his in the car. He only wears one earpiece so he can still hear traffic around him. I love this headset because when I am talking to him while he’s driving I do not hear any background traffic or the car air conditioner. This headset is super clear. The quality is amazing for the price. I’ve used Jabra and Logitech devices in the past and the sound quality on this headset is much clearer. When I am talking to someone whether they are in a car or at home it literally sounds like I am sitting right next to them in the same room.My friends tell me that I’m much easier to understand on the phone now with this headset. I no longer hear myself saying “what” a million times trying to hear what the person on the other end of the call said because their voice is crystal clear as well. This headset comes with a one year warranty, but since one of the headsets came with a short in it and was still during the return period I choose to go through Amazon rather than the manufacturer. For the price it’s easy to keep a spare headset (or two) around in case one gets broken.Comfort wise I find the leatherette material provides a lot of padding to my head and ears. I don’t get uncomfortable when wearing this headset for a long period of time. It’s completely adjustable and fits a big head like mine (I wear an XL in hats) and a small head like my significant other (he wears a medium in hats).I love the cord. It’s not the plastic coated cord like I’m used to. Instead it’s a nylon braided cord. It feels durable, doesn’t kink easily, and it doesn’t get tangled easily, though I have managed to get it tangled a couple of times. Even when it’s tangled it is super easy to untangle due to the material it’s made of.All in all, I would highly recommend this headset and I am satisfied with our purchase of these headsets. I don’t think you will find better quality sound at this price with any other headset.

    They don’t last.

I accidentally purchased two for my husband which turned out to be a good thing. The first one didn’t last. We got it in July and by September it was broken. They’re cheaply made & you’d be better off spending more money on a better set.
