but rather a graphic and web designer and wanted something accurate and easy to type on

I am not a gamer, but rather a graphic and web designer and wanted something accurate and easy to type on. Most items optimized for gaming also work very well for graphic design. I’ve been using wireless keyboard/mouse combos for years and finally had enough of my Logitech set. I had two keyboards start sticking at the same time. Both were useless and would disconnect frequently from the computer and also the keys would stick. Very frustrating. So I decided to give a mechanical keyboard a try. This one is very clicky-sounding, if that’s what you’re looking for. So far my husband hates it, but I think it’s entertaining and satisfying. The keys have a good stroke and obviously require more push than a cheaper non-mechanical keyboard. You quickly adjust, though. The keys have a nice dimple to keep your fingertips in place and the keys are spaced nicely. One of my favorite things about this keyboard is the weight. It is a stout, heavy keyboard and doesn’t get pushed around the desk. The key back-lighting is cool and is red in color. The side lighting, however, is closer to a pink. It looks a little pinkish in the product photo, but very pink in real life. Ultimately, it doesn’t bother me. I haven’t tried any of the programmable buttons, so I cannot comment on that. My only gripe would be the space bar. It seems a little loose, so I hope that does not affect it’s longevity. Overall, though, I think this keyboard is probably just as good as way more expensive models that I viewed at Best Buy.

    Nice Gaming Keyboard

I was hooked with this the moment I saw it for one very simple reason its, “looks”. Particularly the side changing lights. Having a decent PC set up (alienware pc and LG ultrawide monitor), I feel like I need to justify it buy having a matching keyboard in it. I can’t just take, to spend over $130 for a matching alienware keyboard. To be honest, I really did not pay attention to its specs when I choose to buy this because I love it that much. So much for that story, I am happy with the overall of it. I will list what I believe might be useful to someone considering having this:Pros:1.) It is using a MX Cherry Brown switches: For me its neutral for both gamers or daily use like typing emails. Just enough fit for the family. It has the clicky sound of high value mechanical keyboards too.2.) The Changing Lights on the sides: The deciding factor of course.3.) It is made of Stainless frame and its heavy: I like this feasture because aside being sturdy it does not move easily due to its weight4.) The lights are costumizable: You can play around with the ligths according to your liking. Cons:1.) The engraved letters on the side: It could be better without it. Honestly, its something to improve but its not something that affects the function of the thing.2.) The Fonts on the keyboard: Its a bit fancy to me, I am a very modest type of person so the simplier the better.Overall, it is still worth the rating i will give due to its performance and specs. The Pros it bring is quite comparable to branded and more expensive one at almost half the price. The cons i believe is just very minimal that most people won’t even mind actually

Before I bought it I presumed it was an off-brand Chinese-made keyboard but other reviews seem to indicate that it was still a good keyboard. The ambient lighting isn’t bothersome but it …

I bought this keyboard for daily use as a programmer. I use Linux as the only OS, and it has performed without any hiccups, it really is a plug-n-play peripheral. The different lighting modes are controlled using the FN key in combination with the Inert, Delete, Home, End, Page Up, and Page Down keys. Rather fun/neat effects, and a bonus that no software is needed for them to work. So far it has stood up well against the hours of typing and it doesn’t seem to be breaking down in ways that indicate it is a cheaply made product. Obviously, that is only the initial few weeks and over the coming months that could change.Something that did throw me off, though it is shown in the product images, is that this is listed as an ET Robot keyboard. Even the product packaging has that brand on it. However, that is not found anywhere on the physical keyboard itself. It has the brand “Shjing” on the top, both sides (the right side is backwards), and underside of the keyboard. A little odd, especially the backwards layout on the right side, but not concerning. Before I bought it I presumed it was an off-brand Chinese-made keyboard but other reviews seem to indicate that it was still a good keyboard. The ambient lighting isn’t bothersome but it would be nice to have a way to turn it off. It is a soft light, so that is really quite a minor thing to me.

    Incredible Gaming keyboard

Before I go into the review of the product, I have to say I was very surprised with this keyboard. ETRobot has managed to build a keyboard that looks and feels like a premium quality keyboard. I currently own a Duckyshine 5, Vortex Pok3r 60%, Corsair Strafe Keyboard and Anne Pro 2 which I just got. Just on build quality alone I would put this up there along side my ducky shine and Pok3r. Great job to ETRobot for putting together a keyboard with excellent build quality at an amazing price point.Build Quality, DurabilityAluminum chassis. Say no more. It feels extremely sturdy with no bending. The keyboard is fairly heavy similar to my Vortex Pok3r which is built like a tank. I would rank this up there along side that keyboard in quality of build. At nearly half the cost of the Pok3r keyboard this is a steal.LED LightsI personally do not have a huge preference for how bright or dim led lights are. Duckyshine keyboards excel in this area but this keyboard does a great job with its RGB lighting. The side and back side lighting are pretty bright and there are a lot of different lighting modes. The manual is pretty easy to read and how to switch from lighting modes is a matter of holding the FN key and hitting certain keys to activate different lighting modes. Each key (ie. insert, home, pgdn, pgup etc) has between 2 and 3 lighting presets.SoundI got the brown switches for gaming and they are quiet and very responsive. I have keyboards with reds, blues and black switches and so far the browns are very nice and quiet.OverallAgain I was pleasantly surprised at all aspects of this keyboard. First impressions are very good. This is definitely a keyboard worth considering especially at its price point. I have stopped looking at brand name keyboards like Logitech and Corsair simply because these other brands (off brands) just build keyboards with a different perspective. Great Job ETRobot. To ETROBOT- IF you ever decide to get into the smaller keyboard market 60% etc I will definitely be looking to pick up one.

    Very nice keyboard.

I have always used the cheapo keyboard and mice combos that come with your computer or similar to what you’d find in an office. This is my first “real” upgrade. Dang! It makes a huge difference. I personally love the clicky mechanical feel and it is very easy to type with. My wife think its too loud when she uses it though. She’s in her doctorate program and types A LOT of papers with it.The RGB is a nice touch and has several settings that can match your mood. I personally like the calm color changing fades.I’m not much of a gamer so I cant speak to that from a real persuasive stand point but it is hand down better than anything else I used. More responsive keys and satisfying click helps you know you’ve done you part.My only real complaint as minimal as it seems is I wish it was slightly wider. I’m more used to it now but seemed kind of squished together when I first got it. Maybe I’m just used to inferior stuff? Either way I am happy with it from my minimal keyboard/mouse expertise. It is built very solid. The keyboard is heavy! That’s a good thing in my opinion. Very well built and high quality.I don’t think this keyboard will ever go bad on me so I think I could recommend this to others.

excellent customer service for an excellent product

update: july 11, 2018kuang from et robot reached out to me directly by email a week or two ago. i haven’t had time to exchange the original keyboard; it was a good reminder. however, for my inconvenience, kuang immediately shipped me a new keyboard. i received it 2 business days later and the new one is wonderfully sticky (lol) on both the left and right sides. i said in my original i would update and give it the 5 stars it deserves… i have updated my review and given it the 5 stars it deserves :)ps- my husband is keeping the less grippy keyboard, as he was ready to snatch it up the minute it arrived.(original review written 6/10/18) i purchased this last week and am using it for the first time. the bottom left rubber grip is not grippy; i tested it on various flat/smooth surfaces. it is such that the keyboard will move up/down if you were to bump it… and you will since you type on it lol. however, the right side grippy thing is excellent. i will be exchanging and this will hopefully be resolved. i will update and give it the 5 stars i believe it deserves once the issue is rectified.

Does the job – great value for the money.

The keyboard has a nice feel to it. It doesn’t use any external software to customize it, hence there are no macro capability and you have to use the keyboard itself to program it. The manual for the keyboard is cliff notes that leave questions but a bit of experimentation and one can figure it out or ask for answers. The manual is black with a white font as the foreground and it’s tiny and hard for me to read. I had to use a lamp to read it.You can customize your own theme. There are many animiated themes/lighting effects but I wanted plain static lighting.Colors for individual keys or groups of keys or lighting effects are easy to program once you figure it out. You can program different lighting for different games/programs but I’ve not investigated that yet.You have 7 colors you can use to apply. The keys are bright but the font is some stylized thing that makes it hard to identify certain keys. For example the six looks like a G and vice versa.Keyboard shows its solid build by it’s weight which is expected from a metal build rather than plastic.I would recommend this keyboard to anyone on a budget over other budget keyboards I’ve tried..

The keyboard seems to be of an excellent build.

The keyboard seems to be of an excellent build. It was a gift for my son and he was very impressed. I realize this isn’t a gaming “brand” that I was familiar with, but decided to try it out. All keys work, the blue switches very clicky and mechanical. Lots of lighting options and some custom key combos. I will say the symbols on some keys were different, and the manual is definitely needed for the FN key mapping. The one downside I experienced, and I didn’t want to remove a star, was the ESC light was not lighting up upon testing. Not a big deal. My son used it from Christmas until I shipped it out yesterday. Did a return to Amazon for credit, and planned to repurchase. But the keyboard price went up $4 since 12/8. There was nothing Amazon could do because of no “exchange” option with the seller. I repurchased anyway because my son was very happy with it otherwise. From the reviews, it looks like the seller has responded well to warranties. I should have found a way to contact them instead.Hopefully the 2nd time around there will be no problems. The 3 year warranty is still very good, as long as the company is still around. Hopefully I won’t need it.

Great Gaming Keyboard -104 keys, blue mechanical switches, RGB color, and an aluminium case.

I bought a very similar keyboard here (Redragon K567) and the “4” key didn’t work. I returned it for another one. The “4” on that one didn’t work. I gave up and bought this one. I spent a lot of time reading the reviews and questions and answers. Lots of conflicting info in there. Here are the facts for my purchase. Generic blue switches are used not brown. They have a great click when used. They even give you a few extras. The frame is aluminum and feels very well made. Each side of the metal housing has the word “SHJING” stamped in it with lights showing through. Oddly, one side is stamped upside down. There is a lot of confusion and disagreement about the programability of the lighting. This isn’t helped by the inaccurate and incomplete manual that comes with it. Here are the facts. It comes with many preprogrammed lighting effects that you can select from. You can change the color, brightness, the speed, and the direction of most of them. Now this is important, you CAN program individual keys. Repeat, you CAN program individual keys. I did some searching and found the attached instruction for customizing the keys. Oddly it was from another company but they all work. I assume they share the same guts. There is some discussion about the keyboard memorizing or not custom schemes either after the computer is turned off or the USB is disconnected. I have not tested that yet. I am guessing it does save.Overall, this is an amazing keyboard and have found nothing to dislike about it (a removable wrist rest would have been nice though). If you compare this keyboards to similar big name keyboards, you will find VERY similar quality and functionality but they will be much more expensive. Most 2X this price. When looking for 104 keys, blue mechanical switches, RGB color, and an aluminium case, stop right here.Oh, wait, there’s more. Look at the attached pic of their software. You can adjust everything. Go here to get it http://etrobotmarket.com/download/
