    Solid (if squishy) membrane keyboard

Really solid feeling base, but it’s a membrane-based keyboard (but was listed with mechanical keyboards) and has a rather squishy feel to the keys. If they didn’t have such a long travel, it would be very easy to get extraneous key presses. I give it a “Meh-plus” for the heavy, solid base and for the backlighting options. It also has the large Euro-style enter key (with the reverse-soldis, aka reverse “backslash” key misplaced), which I didn’t notice until I started typing. (ICK! Can’t ding the review for me not noticing in the image before purchase, but I can sure warn others away.)Crazy amounts of colors and patterns; fortunately it’s pretty easy (Fn-F4) to set a solid, non-breathing, non-rainbow backlighting scheme. Set the brightness to mid-intensity, and you’re good for lower-light work environments, without feeling like you’re at the circus. (Some of the keys are brighter than others, notably so in the upsidedown-T arrow key cluster.)

    Good quality Heavy metal case

The Vehemo gaming keyboard provides a stylish and tactile gaming experience. With raised keys that fit comfortably at my fingertips and a variety of colorful led patterns, this keyboard is an impressive addition to any gaming set up. The Heavy metal case makes feel expensive. All this does come at the cost of some added weight making the keyboard somewhat less portable. Waterproof is also a great feature, but have not spill anything yet. No issue with the keys so far. Overall, a nice replacement for amature gamer at a reasonable price.

Odd looking and a few strange behaviors, but very nice overall

I would give this five stars except for two ‘features’ that I do not care for at all. First it is pretty flat and does not have feet to raise the back end to a more ergonomic position. The second issue is if you have typed a complete word and backspace, it deletes the whole word, not just the last letter. It makes minor editing more time consuming. This may be something that can be altered, but there were no instructions on how to do this, and in Windows Control Panel there is no obvious way to change the behavior. Clearly the keyboard has ‘talked’ to the OS and altered behavior.Another minor annoyance is the keyboard lights go out if not used for a while, so if you are gaming mostly with your mouse but need your keyboard once in a while, it does not stay lit. Again, there may be a way to change settings but no manual on how to do that. I like to game in the dark so bought this keyboard primarily for the lit keys and solid construction. Maybe someone can tell me how to control its undocumented ‘features’ in Windows 10?

Super value, even at full price

I just did a search for “backlit” keyboards and this is what popped up. It happened to have 14 minutes left on the lightning deal left so I figured go ahead. This keyboard is a delight; a real keeper. Colors are drop-dead, typing is perfect and the keys have just the right amount of tactile feedback. Important also is that it works just fine when I have to configure the BIOS. It’s a total replacement for the PS/2 keyboard that I’ve been using the last 12 years in every respect, including the “cool eye candy” department. Get one, you won’t regret it. I can’t comment to the gaming because I don’t and I’ll update the review after I’ve had it for a few months etc.

keyboard layour is ISO/JIS, but I prefer ANSI

The keyboard seemed fine. Nice and quiet if that’s your preference. My problem — Which is not a problem of the keyboard itself– is that I prefer the backslash key to be positioned above the enter key. The layout of this keyboard has an enter key that spans 2 rows which forces the backslash key to be positioned to the left of the enter key which I cannot seem to get used to. This is just a different standard that I am not accustomed to.A couple of other minor issues…1. As other people have stated the keyboard lights shut off automatically. (doesn’t bother me, but just an FYI)2. On the top row where the numbers are, the special characters are printed next to the number instead of above. They are also very close so sometimes it’s hard to locate the proper key… see #33. The lights are not that bright – so on keys with multiple symbols I find them difficult to read.4. Now this is minor, but the Vehemo name plate appears to be taped on. Pretty cheap look if you ask me.I am rating 4 stars because the keyboard does function perfectly. The different layout is a recognized standard so no stars should be deducted. I am deducting 1 star due to poor illumination, difficult to read top row and the cheap looking name plate.

    Settings don’t stay set.

As others have noted, this is a very well made keyboard. Heavy and solid. And I really like the feel of the keys. But there are two problems that make this keyboard unacceptable for me. First, the lights time out after a few minutes and the keyboard goes dark, making it pretty much useless in a dark room unless you’re doing something that involves continual key presses. Second, it doesn’t retain your function choices. There’s all kinds of cool selections for color patterns, brightness, wave effects, etc., but every one is lost when you power off your PC, so you have to re-enter them every time you boot up. For those who wouldn’t be bothered by these issues, this is a great keyboard that I highly recommend. But since I don’t think most people buy a lighted keyboard expecting it will shut itself off periodically, I suspect most folks would suffer the same disappointment that I have.

Full-metal body keyboard with lighting effects

First, this keyboard is NOT mechanical, but it has a very similar look and feel in the action of the keys. The main body is stamped metal and actually pretty heavy. The keys are double-shot so the characters are illuminated by the lights. The lights themselves are not fully programmable RGB with complex patterns as on some more expensive keyboards, but can be set to glow blue, teal, green, or red, either as a steady color or “breathing” (fading on and off at several different selectable speeds). The lights can also flash in several color combinations, i.e. blue and green, blue and red, or red and green. And they can flash through the various color combinations in sequence. In this mode, the board looks very much like a christmas tree, that is to say, very cheerful. As far as the action of the keys goes, they do feel similar to a genuine mechanical keyboard, and very different from the generic boards that come with most computers. My wife likes typing on it, although she said there was a learning curve going from her old keyboard to this one.Overall, the quality seems to be very good, especially for the price.

Excellent Keyboard For Gaming & General Use

Guys if you’re looking for a really nice low priced keyboard for general use or gaming, this will fill the bill nicely without having to spend a lot of bills.Pros:Keys feel great. It’s actually metal top and bottom with nice weight.Feels solidly built.Extra keys.Anti ghosting.Easily cleanable.Several settings for the lights which actually makes the keyboard visually appealing as well.Great priceCons:Sorry guys I can’t find one.I bought this for my youngest son to game with, and when my older son took a look at it he asked for one himself. It looks like I’m buying another one. As long as it lasts for awhile it’s a steal. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy yourself one. If a con arises I will come back and update this review.

    Getting used to it.

The keys are very quiet. They have a positive feel, and reasonably long travel. They feel like switches, but the sound says it’s a membrane. I am finding it very easy to press extraneous keys while typing. The keys register with s lite touch. Fn+4 allows you to set a single sold color for a simple back-lit keyboard. If you want a circus light show, this has options for that! A keyboard is a keyboard first and foremost. It is for typing. I am still getting used to it.The negatives: The Enter/Return/New line key is European shape. If the back-light is off, it’s impossible to see the letters. The blue num lock LED is blindingly bright! It’s like having a blue laser in your eye while you’re trying to see the keys! Now I know how a Blu-ray disc feels.

    RGB Keyboard in Office

I had a mechanical keyboard in my office and when i typed it made a lot of noise. I made a switch to this keyboard a few days ago and it made very little noise compared to the mechanical one. RGB lights is a plus. The janitor in my office told me that when he cleans at night my desk looks like as if there is a party going on. So far its been working great.
