In The Market For Another Mouse After This One Went On The Fritz… in less than 4 months

I purchased the mouse on July 30th, and here I am looking on Amazon for a new mouse AGAIN…To be frank, I initially was only content with this mouse. Then the thumb-side buttons really grew on me – as did the upper texturing. Then recently I began to hate the hard, shiny plastic used everywhere else. My hands are oily and that does not pair well with polished surfaces. I eventually got to tolerating it, even liking it a bit, UNTIL, the right-click button started going on the fritz. It would register some times, other times not at all. I never mistreated it or slammed it on the desk before, but boy did I want to break the thing with a hammer when it started ruining my games. I hate cheap products and I’ve learned the lesson yet again. My recommendation is that you only buy this mouse if you don’t need a 100% reliable product. For those of us who don’t like buying new equipment every time the old stuff breaks, I suggest something more premium – not necessarily a lot more money – but with a good reputation and from a trusted name. I’m sure Redragon puts out other product lines without any substandard items getting sent out, but their cheapo $13 M601 mouse sure seems like it wasn’t designed with perfection in mind. I need perfection.————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-P.S.: A lot of the reviews for this mouse are 5-stars… I don’t contest them; this mouse’s faults are cosmetic from my perspective. If it hadn’t gone on the fritz, I would be perfectly content with it. But all it takes is one lemon to motivate a customer to find something else.

    Initial usage:10 days, works great

It should be noted, I’ve never had a high end mouse. As someone who has come from a stock mouse, this mouse has been excellent. Plugged directly into USB and worked instantly. Gaming feels good and has 4 DPI or sensitivities out of the box. Slightly lighter than what I had before (even with the weights) but I quickly became fond of the lighter or similar weight. Mouse roller works very well and is quite responsive and so are the two side buttons. Left click and right work great and the material the mouse is made out of keeps smudged or other dirt from building up (mostly), much better than my old mouse (no severe sweat stains) and as a guy with sweaty hands, this is huge. Love the look and the red light is vibrant. I have the red dragon Kumara mechanical keyboard as well and the two look phenomenal together. Overall (so far) would buy again

    Good mouse!

My son originally bought this mouse in 2014 for gaming, and he loved it. I probably did a review of it at some point. Some time last year, he replaced it with a fancier one with more features to go with his new gaming computer. By then it had started to act a little funky, straying pointer and misclicks and such. I inherited it and used it to replace a really bad mouse I had for just general computing. Finally, it got to a point where I decided to replace it myself. I actually went back to the original order and purchased it again because it had lasted for nearly FOUR YEARS!The replacement came and it worked great, but I started to notice a strong electrical smell. It smelled exactly like my son’s xBox power pack when it went bad. I tried to find what it was, expecting it to be the computer or other electronics, but it ended up being the mouse. It was odd since the mouse or cord didn’t feel warm at all, but it got so strong that it clung to my fingers even after washing. So I did a replacement of the replacement. This one arrived and I actually noticed the same smell when I got it out of the package, not even plugged in yet. At that point, I wondered if it was just something in the materials or construction. I’m using it and it works fine and I have noticed that the smell has reduced significantly. I don’t understand why the first replacement smelled worse the longer I used it, but second replacement seems to be less. Now It’s not noticeable unless actually smell the mouse. (I know how weird that sounds!) My son said he never noticed a smell at all with the very first one.As far as performance, it’s just as good as the very first one we bought. It’s very responsive, especially when you change the speed settings to your liking. It works on a plain desk, no special surface needed. I use it for general computer use and mild gaming and it feels good in the hand even after a long time. I recommend it, just beware the possible smell.

    A Flaky, Unreliable Device

This is the least reliable mouse I have ever used. If I were rating it purely on aesthetics and comfort, it would get a solid “4” – it looks relatively slick and is comfortable in the hand. Unfortunately, a mouse has to do more than just look cool and feel good – it actually has to work.Within a day of purchasing the Redragon Centrophorus mouse, setting up the drivers and customizing some profiles, it started having serious connectivity issues. Sometimes, after booting up my PC, the mouse would begin to freeze, failing to register and and all inputs every couple of seconds. Sometimes disconnecting and reconnecting the mouse fixed it, other times I had to completely reinstall the drivers. It would also regularly fail to load my profiles, causing the sensitivity and DPI to be completely out of whack until I rebooted the computer (in cases where I was lucky enough for it to fix itself upon a restart). This is one of the flakiest devices I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with, and I absolutely regret spending a single cent on it. The fact that it ships with software containing some glaring typos in the UI is a good indicator of the manufacturer’s dedication to quality (or lack thereof). Maybe I’m just one of the unlucky ones, and this review isn’t representative of the experience you’ll have with it, but I’m seeing more than a few other ratings that detail similar issues which make the mouse a complete pain to use. Purchase at your own risk.

Could have been awesome, but is let down by poor sensor/firmware behavior

When I first started using this mouse, I loved it. It felt good in my hand (using a claw grip) and I quite liked the way the main buttons and scroll wheel felt. I even like the texture (which other reviewers didn’t like; it’s down to personal preference really). I considered it a 5 star product for a while. However, over time I noticed some tracking issues. I can identify two issues:1) 1600dpi and 2000dpi modes do not track very well. In-game aim is noticably worse when I switch from 1000dpi to 1600/2000dpi (and change sensitivity to compensate). The sensor seems to hunt/jitter a lot. This alone wouldn’t be a dealbreaker for me because I only really cared about the 1000dpi mode and had no need for anything higher, but it would be a serious issue for people who actually wanted to use >1000dpi.2) The sensor/LED seems to have some sort of low-power mode; when no movement is detected for ~1 second, the LED goes from full intensity to blinking at a frequency low enough to be visible by eye. Once the mouse is in this mode, it seems sometimes not able to detect small movements until it’s been woken up again by a large movement. This “feature” is an absolutely HORRIBLE choice for something to include a gaming mouse; it interferes severely with attempts to perform fine aiming. Good luck attempting pixel accurate sniper shots…Unfortunately, these issues are serious enough that I think 2 stars is appropriate. If the manufacturer were to correct them (maybe by a new version with revised firmware), I think this could be a device worthy of 5 stars.

overpriced because it’s pink. but very bright.

your paying alot for pink, but it’s a typical razer board and feels good, and the lighting is very very bright as it reflects off the light colored pink more than a black keyboard would. other than the price premium no complaints.

    Key doesn’t bounce back

It is a overall very good looking keyboard. But if the key can’t bounce back, that’s totally meaningless. Very disappointed.

Good quality keyboard & nice RGB lights customization

This keyboard is really nice. I’m so happy with my purchase. It’s easy to use, feels good to the touch when you type something and the RGB lights customization is amazing. You just gotta download the app on Razer.com. I really love it and would recommend it for sure!

Company is excellent, product is good.. but product gave up.

Worked for at least a little less than a year. Will buy into the company because they value customers and because the product pricing is great and branding is excellent. My only concern is the lifespan of the mouse. My scroll wheel gave up sooner than expected. Eventually it stopped registering scrolling accurately and in general.. Gave up and bought another mouse. This kind of issue is drawing me back from possibly buying another mouse with them moving forward because I feel that I may come across the same random issue again in the future. Still rooting for them as an up and coming competitor in the gaming industry against the likes of Razor, Crucial etc.

It was good for a couple of weeks

Okay, so…. It’s a good keyboard. My grandmother got me this keyboard for my birthday. It was a good keyboard. I thought my usb port might have been faulted or whatnot, as the keyboard kept connecting and disconnecting at random. But it was good, it worked most of the time. Then it just stopped. And I thought it was my computer, so I tried connecting it to a different computer.Nothing. It was broken from the start.I can’t return it, because I didn’t buy it.If you don’t get a faulty keyboard it’s really good. Probably the best thing I’ve ever gotten, but it was faulty and now I can’t use it.

Awesome keyboard keeps the wifey happy

I bought this keyboard for my wife as she works in the technical field and she loves this keyboard!Pros:-The keyboard is light, but very sturdy. Good weight overall.-The build quality is superb.-The opti-mechanical switches feel great-The keyboard looks fresh and exciting, but keeps a very clean look, without excessive bells and whistles. Great, since this keyboard is being used for productivity, not necessarily gaming.Cons(which are hardly a big deal atm):-It would be nice to have a standard bottom row. I understand the TE version exists, but not in this color, and the TE is TKL, which is not what we’re looking for in a productivity keyboard.-It would be nice if at this price range, the keyboard had a detachable USB cable, for transporting purposes.-We bought this keyboard when there was a sale, and I feel it was a great value. At full price, the keyboard could have a few extras.

It is OKAY but far from Great …

So to start I gaming mostly on my desktop but recently I have had to take a lot of work trips so I decided to get a gaming laptop and soon realized I wouldnt be able to use the keyboard on the laptop or any old mouse when I travel. At home I use a Logitech G810 orion keyboard and G403 mouse, for traveling I decided a G410 would be a good smaller mechanical keyboard that wouldnt wake up the whole hotel and decided to cheap out on the mouse. I got the M601 redragon mouse after reading all the reviews on amazon and wish I had read the reviews more in depth.Pros:- It is semi comfortable (also in the cons)- It comes with a really good travel case (one of the reasons I got it)- It has a nice weight to it- It is incredibly cheapCons:- The BIGGEST con of all: This mouse LAGS. As others have said I can feel the lag in the games I play. Compared to my G403 which moves the instant I move, this thing takes about twice that amount of time when it moves something.- It is not nearly as comfortable as my G403 or most other mice I have used. It seems very short which doesnt work well with my hand- The buttons feel very cheap and it is very hard to use .. Especially the side buttons by the thumb, those are pretty much worthless.- Don’t even attempt to install the Mouse Drivers and Software. They aren’;t digital certified so Windows 10 wont let you install them unless you turn off digital signature (I wouldn’t recommend).- The DPI settings wont save after you turn off your computer or unplug the mouse. You have to remember how many “clicks” you had for the dpi settings.

Amazing gaming mouse for the money!

You don’t really appreciate something as simple as a product working the way it should and working incredibly well until you get a bad product. I originally bought a black with blue lights gaming mouse from another maker that had over 1500 reviews with a 4-star rating for a few dollars cheaper and I absolutely regretted it. That other brand was the Tecknet M268 black mouse with blue lighting didn’t feel at all right in my hand. The plastic had no real texture to it and actually felt cheap and somewhat thin and brittle. Worst part was the cursor tracking. Trying to click on the X of a web page or a window was a nightmare. The cursor was jumpy and unstable and playing games on a 2560×1440 resolution screen where everything you needed to click on was tiny was impossible. I tried using different mouse pads and surfaces and nothing made it better. I had to return that and I’m glad I did.My new Redragon Centrophorus is the complete opposite of the other brand’s. Here are the points of the Redragon I find superior to the other mouse:- The feel is just right. The weights inside this mouse gave it a nice heavier quality feel and movement of more expensive mice I own.- All the buttons have a nice if not perfectly satisfying resistance and “click.” Even the wheel button feels good and solid when I press on it. The other mouse’s buttons actually felt clunky and somewhat hollow sounding.- The cord wrapped in red and black braided fiber adds a nice touch which also looks and feels great compared to the other one. I didn’t realize there was a difference between braided cords until I felt the 2 side-by-side.- The red light inside slowly pulses illuminating the all the crevises, windows, and logo is just beautiful. The other one was just a dim blue light that was always on.- The center button to change the DPI actually makes a difference when I press it. The first level makes the cursor move slow and the 4th level makes it zip across the screen with barely a flick of the wrist. My favorite and most used it the second level.- It comes in a reusable plastic storage box with a form fitted clear plastic inner packaging shell and a locking lid that snaps closed on all four sides. The box even has the logo imprinted onto the lid. The other one came in a small thin brown cardboard box I’ve already tossed in the recycle bin (I hope it’s recyclable!)- Best of all and most important in my opinion is the incredibly smooth, accurate, and precise tracking ability of the mouse cursor. It seems to just glide across the screen and gives me absolute control of where I want it to go and lands dead-on to what I need to click. It actually has more control than all of my 50 dollar plus Logitech mice. No exaggerating! I think it might be due to the driver and software I downloaded for the Redragon, but it was worth it. This is one point that I’m sure anyone will agree on. If a mouse can’t give you precise control and do what it’s supposed to besides looking good then it’s a waste of money no matter how little you spend on it.Overall, for only literally a few dollars more, this mouse has surprisingly exceeded all of my expectations and is an absolute pleasure to use. I noticed my PC gaming had improved due to not missing any of the buttons anymore or taking extra time and effort to correctly position the cursor where I need it to be. I always thought great gaming mice had to be expensive, but Redragon really changed my views about that. You won’t be disappointed with this one.

    A cheapo mouse that performs

I bought this mouse because my Logitech mouses and generic ones with premium rubber feel material evetually melt into a pile of sticky goo. This mouse is mostly plastic with textured sides to feel not like plastic, as much as reasonably expected. I don’t need to worry about wear. The middle button is unfortunately rubber material. I’m hoping it won’t melt as well. Logitech 0 vs M601 1.The button below the middle button is custom. You can only use their proprietary software to do things. I want it to switch mouse profiles so that I can get extra button mappings. There is one aspect that you should consider before buying this mouse. The mouse software can’t switch mouse profiles per active application. If you were planning on enabling a certain map keys mapping when you play games, then you have to manually select the mouse profile. This gets annoying. Logitech does this right. Logitech gets the right. Can possibly find an open source program to do this. Logitech 1 vs M601 1.Logitech mouse feel erogonomic. This one feels ergonomic and built for more sensitive button pressed. Logitech 2 vs M601 2.Higher DPI makes the mouse more sensitive. The mouse acceleration is needed when you have a 4K+ display. Logitech 2 vs M601 3.It may sound stupid but I like the braided cord. The cord doesn’t tangle into a mess anymore. It’s easy to untangle the wires. Logitech 2 vs M601 4.Have bought 3x M601. For all the faults of the software, this mouse is still pretty good. The mouse is pretty decent and value is great for the price. Logitech 2 vs M601 5.The mouse is light. The weights provided are a joke. You’re not going to feel anything different. Light is actually fine because my hands never feel tired.

A great mouse as a good value.

I bought a new gaming Laptop decided to get a gaming mouse to go with it. This caught my eye and after reading more on it decided to take a chance. For the money, this is a great mouse. It tracks very well, is solid built, and most likely last for many gaming hours to come. The bottom removes with the ability to change out weights. This is my first mouse with weights installed, and they provide a nice feel when scrolling. Besides gaming I do alot of digital art and this mouse does well. The cable conduit is braided and very durable, which shows just how much detail they invested into quality workmanship and build.Give this mouse a shot, you wont be disappointed.
