Not bad for price and quality (helpful/honest reviewer)

I try to be as helpful and honest in all my reviews so please like if applicable: Quality: – I have had this for about a month and giving it heavy use I have not had any issues with buttons or functionality. – It feels very sturdy and, oddly for the price, it does not feel cheap. (30 dollars) Comfort: – The surface is very course for enhanced grip. You fingers definitely do not move when holding this mouse. (some people like this, some dislike it heavily). From what I have experienced with this brand, the course surface is pretty standard as a buddy at work as a 13 dollar mouse of theirs with the same grip. – It is a small mouse and I have big hands. This causes some comfort issues for me. Placement: – DPI controls are on the top for quick changing during games or out of boredom :). I have yet to accidentally click them which can be a worry for some (they are inset so they are under a groove.) – The side buttons (the number buttons) are not the best, but that is standard for these type of mouse’s. This is also a PLUS for the mouse is the way they placed the numbers on the side. They are angled so at each other so you can really tell what you are hitting to help avoid accidental presses and improve accuracy/speed of the right button. Price/Value: – I feel it was a good value for the price. It does exactly what it claims to do and does not feel cheap at all. I have yet to have any problems with it and will update if there are. Why 4 stars and not 5?: – Well this is about the comfort and placement. Not very comfortable to me so I can’t give it a 5, but it goes up by its quality, price/value to a 4.

    About what you expect

UPDATED after 9 months of continuous use gaming.Pros:- Construction is generally acceptable, no flimsy plastic or misaligned parts or other such nonsense that you sometimes get out of knockoff brands.- Adjustable internal weights. I put them on a scale accurate down to the milligram; I found only 0.015g variation between the heaviest and lightest weights so that’s good enough for me. They aren’t for lab use, after all.- Software drivers that actually work. Razer did finally work most of the kinks out of theirs but most of the other clones have this as an Achilles Heel. Even Corsair struggles with software, their mice are great but the drivers are trash.- Good button placement and ergonomic design. I’ve been using MMO-style keypad mice for as long as they’ve been on the market, and this feels right to me.Cons:- The scroll wheel light color is permanently out of sync with the light color of the rest of the mouse. You can adjust the color in the drivers, but you can’t fix this problem by any means I’ve found. Does not affect function, but it looks absurd and will annoy you if you’re picky about such things. This is aside from the fact that it’s a mouse covered in colored lights with a dragon logo on it; some guys like that, but we all know it’s just gamer bling.- The driver software is pretty much what you expect from a Chinese team on a limited budget. Brutally efficient and packed with typos. No seriously, expect typos on the main menu selections and grammar so simplistic you can tell it came from a dictionary. Again, doesn’t hinder function, but you will shake your head at the jankiness of this.- THE BIG ONE: after roughly nine months of use, the left mouse button now double clicks occasionally. It’s mostly tolerable now but it’s a familiar problem, in a couple months it will be completely unusable. This gives the mouse roughly half the lifespan of my previous Razer Naga, at about half the price. I wasn’t terribly satisfied with the lifespan on the Naga, since I had an OG Naga from 2008 still working fine to this day but scuffed up. What does it take to get a durable mouse with good drivers these days?In summary, it’s a Chinese knockoff that works about as well as what it imitates, while being even less durable despite looking and feeling pretty tough. It’s not a bad choice for a budget mouse if you need a new one now and don’t have the cash for anything better at the moment. I was initially actually very happy with it, it gives a strong first impression in most respects, but breaking in under a year is a pretty big black mark, only saved from being worthless by the fact that it’s quite cheap and functional while it lasts. If you’re able to get a longer lifespan from it, it could be a good value.

This Mouse must be one of those special lemons

First.. .if this mouse is not designed for windows 10 use then REMOVE IT FROM THE TOP of the search params. Maybe mention OS Suppoprt: Win xp/Vista/7/ 8. Still with the spirit of first thing wrong. At the stage of tech today if you can even “bribe” on of us gamers to tell you that the color, material, texture, of the mouse pad or the proximity of the PC needing to be 5ft or less to reach.. Sure 6ft is the length.. TOTAL.. mouse included. take of the wrap to the back of the pc.. the wind to your desk top turn/wrap around the keys to face you and you have 47inches with the USB cable drawn tight in the air rendering this useless.Who in their right mind sends no drivers or purposefully fails to code the MS basic drivers at the least? Not only that, the Default dpi is set so slow that it took over 3 minutes to move the cursor from center to task bar. You made nor left any possible way to access any control.. Luckily some of us are fine with just the keys. No contact info.. you tell me my drivers and software can be downloaded at your site. Maybe make that site addy available???You stress that you will honor nothing without all of your hoops jumped through.. Tell me this “CARD” I have to register with you at this imaginary place.. who decided that obfuscating origin, and exclisuion of this CARD that gives warranty or else was the way to go? I mean make a product that I don’t just hate right from jump then maybe. Here are the actual terms of my warranty. I expect you to be watching reviews.. I will lgive you 24 hoiurs to reply with a solution that 0 zero effort for me. I expect that the software, cable extend, and an acceptable mode to verbally see this settled by the key package. I expect a human to give proper customer service to a human.. I expect that your FIRST action taken is to accept that customer service is your only true goal and that a replacement be here this time tomoro. Feel free to demand your “CARD” you will get it once you give me one. Finally if your Idea of a solution is to refund the mouse, never speak a word. never offer to place this with whatever mouse I choose and done.. do yourself a huge favor. Don’tWell, I have read many reviews for this thing. I’ve waited a good while for some word from the company and not a peep. I did locate some software and install drivers that got the mouse working per se. However, I believe that I must surely have the lemon of the company. The side buttons #2,3,6,5 are stiff. Most likely # 3 and #6 will be dead buttons before long.On a more of a personal taste side of things – The mouse is wider than it is made to appear and while the rough texture does help you to hang on to it during most in-game fights, the left side of the mouse as it slopes down to the buttons has a sharper edge on the top side. The pics of the mouse from every view give it the look of being more smooth. Extended use can cause discomfort. The only question/answer that really matters. “Would I purchase this mouse again or recommend it?”My answer to that one… “No, I would not.”

Great device, but it’s either cheaply made or defective…

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.

(+) Fantastic device! I love all of the number keys it has to allow for quick access to abilities in MOBAs and MMORPGs as well as weapon swapping in first person shooters. The software is easy to use, and allows for tons of customization. I really like the fact that you can have custom colors for the LEDs as well.( – ) I would have given this a 5 star, but after only a little over a month of use the mouse wheel started making this weird grinding noise, I’m not rough with my peripherals, so it must be a defective unit, as I did a Google search and haven’t found any cases similar to mine, as it’s pretty specific. It only grinds for a part of the rotation, and then goes back to moving smooth, and only when I’m scrolling down. This started happening just as the return window ended, which is unfortunate.Otherwise it’s a great mouse for the money, just be sure to scrutinize it when you get yours.Edit: Revising to 4 stars. The seller offered me a replacement product which I just received yesterday. It works brilliantly! The reason I’m revising my score to a 4 and not a 5 is this: This is a great high functioning and versatile product that potentially rivals other gaming mice that are of a higher cost (I say potentially because I have no personal experience with the “higher end” products at the time of this review). However, for that reason I imagine more cost effective parts are required to hit the price point, which I imagine is why I had the mouse wheel fail on me in less than 1 month. The product does have an 18 month warranty, and I can still easily recommend this to anyone who needs a mouse that is looking for a gaming mouse.

    Look no further.

Responsive, well built and utterly customizable. If you need a mouse for gaming, this is good for anything you want to do.I was hesitant at first about the use of third-party software to assign buttons and macros to the multiple keys on the mouse, but the software is very light on resources and easy and intuitive to use. You can save your preferences is profiles and keep 5 Active profiles that you can switch to a button built on the bottom of the mouse.I mainly play first-person shooters using the mouse and it works fantastic for doing so, all the optional keys on the side make using the keyboard a lot better for me cuz I don’t have to take my fingers off of the directional keys and basically the only other button I have to press on the keyboard is the spacebar, I have custom bindings for every other function on the mouse. In my opinion this is much better. It’s nice to know that if I decided to play an MMO with complicated macros, I’d have what I need. The construction the mouse is fantastic, with a non-slip matte black finish, adjustable weights, and a braided nylon cable that’s nearly 6 ft long. It’s the best Mouse I’ve ever owned, I’ve played with more expensive gaming mice, and this holds up. So if you’re looking for performance on a budget, this is a good place to start. The buttons on the side of the mouse or a bit small, and I have fairly large hands, but even with this situation as it is I still don’t have much of a problem with accessibility. Plus the customized binding allows you to disable button so you don’t have to use all 12 if you don’t want to. I absolutely love having all the extra options.

Great mouse with a few flaws

I purchased this mouse not for gaming, but for work: I needed a mouse that was capable of storing macros/settings with onboard memory as I am not allowed to install software on my workstation. I previously used a Logitech G600 mouse, which while superior in terms of overall functionality it could not store store complex macros within the onboard memory. (only simple keystrokes and such)Compared to the Logitech G600, the Redragon M901 has a few advantages:1) Able to store complex macros via onboard memory2) The extra red button on the top left (default is the “Fire function) is nice.3) Larger, more comfortable scrolling wheel.4) The first two rows of side buttons are notably easier for my to thumb to access. (I have fairly small hands) I could not comfortably reach these buttons on the Logitech G600 so they often went unused.5) Lighter weight. (if you remove all the weights from the mouse, of course)Unfortunately, the M901 has some notable downsides:1) The “Switch Profile” function only goes one direction – If you want to switch from Profile 2 to Profile 1, you have to keep clicking the Switch Profile button through 3, 4, and 5 until it cycles back to Profile 1. And it’s not possible to disable any of the unused Profiles.2) The mouse wheel has no back/forth tilting function… odd because most gaming mice have this feature.3) It doesn’t appear possible to rename Macros… you have to delete/recreate them to rename them. Minor issue, but irritating.Overall I like the Redragon M901 and it has been able to perform the functions I need it do on my workstation, but the downsides I listed keep this mouse from being perfect.

    GREAT MOUSE, HORRIBLE INSTRUCTIONS

I love this mouse. I have the old version and bought a second one for my stepson. However, this new version has much worse documentation and software than the old one, despite obvious efforts to “update” it.1) THE MANUAL SHOULD HAVE A URL FOR DOWNLOADING DRIVERS. The old version came with a CD containing drivers for the mouse. The new one does not. That in and of itself is fine, but the “manual” that is included doesn’t contain any URL for where to download the new drivers. You just have to google “redragon drivers”. AND you have to make sure you get the correct website for your country, as the drivers may differ.2) THE MANUAL SHOULD HAVE INSTRUCTIONS FOR DOWNLOADING DRIVERS. After downloading the new driver, I was initially impressed by the update to the software. Except that it would not apply my settings to my mouse! The one thing I bought a programmable-button mouse for! After much frustration, I came to look at Amazon reviews to see if anyone else had this problem. One of Redragon’s support team responses mentioned restarting the computer after installing the software, which I hadn’t done (SINCE THERE ARE NO INSTRUCTIONS TO DO SO). This solved the problem.INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLING THIS MOUSE (since Redragon doesn’t have any):1. Go to redragonusa.com/downloads2. Download drivers for “M901 – New Version”3. Extract the .rar file with 7-Zip (free) or the RAR extractor of your choice.4. Run the resulting .exe and install the software.5. RESTART YOUR COMPUTER.6. Open the “Redragon Perdition Gaming Mouse” application.7. Choose your desired settings.8. Click “Apply”.9. Click “OK”.Also to note, if you go to Task Manager and find the mouse program, the program’s title is “TODO: “. Shoddy quality control there. One other minor complaint is that the mouse backlighting colors can be changed, but the scroll wheel color is always different than the rest of the mouse, which looks a little stupid. It doesn’t bother me for playing games, but if you’re looking to create a “ultra cool-looking” gaming setup, I wouldn’t recommend choosing this mouse.Aside from the lack of instructions, this is a fantastic quality mouse for the price. I would choose this over Razer or another gaming mouse any day. The buttons are responsive, easy to press, and the slight angles of the buttons makes finding the correct button easier. The original mouse I bought is still going strong several years later. I highly recommend as a good value buy.

Excellent mouse. I bought this mouse to replace my …

Excellent mouse. I bought this mouse to replace my CM Storm one. I mainly bought it for the macro buttons on the side, which it has 12 of. The macros 1-9 are really easy to reach, but the 10-12 ones, are a bit hard for my small hands. I really appreciate the software that came with the mouse, as I can program the macros on the side to do whatever I choose. I also appreciated that the mouse came with a weight tuning set. As my previous mouse was a light mouse, I could not adjust to this heavy one, So I took out the weights, Red Dragon also provided us with a cover to store the weights, How nice. Overall a really great mouse for what it’s worth. Probably the same as the Razer Naga. but much cheaper. The mouse also comes with a braided cable. I don’t know if this is with the way I’m moving the mouse or something, but sometimes when I move the mouse, the cursor stops on the screen for a second or two, then continues moving.UPDATE: 5-7-16This mouse has stopped working, when I plug it in,the logo lights up for a few seconds, then goes out. Will be trying to get a return on this

FANTASTIC Mouse, blows my old Naga(s) away in every category. Won’t be going back to Razer!

I am a LONGTIME Razer Naga user. I had the first generation Naga a few days after it released back in 2009 and I used it to play WOW for years. I was a hardcore raider back in the day and that mouse got a serious workout. That mouse lasted me for 6 years. Since then I have been through two newer generation Nagas neither of which lasted more than a year before they started glitching out. In less than 2 years they were unusable. I don’t bang my mice or abuse my gear, something clearly happened over a Razer as their product quality has completely fallen off. I decided it was time to try something new, and boy am I glad I did. This mouse was FAR less expensive than the comparable naga, it has a much better feel in both texture and size. The side buttons are arranged so they are easy to locate and press. I never get lost clicking the wrong button and my large thumbs have yet to mis-click and hit two buttons at once. In addition this mouse is a far better fit for my hand, and is actually much more comfortable than any of the Naga’s have been during long gaming periods. So far I’ve had ZERO issues and am very pleased with this mouse. If you are looking for an MMO gaming mouse I strongly recommend you spend your money here!

    Redragon scroll wheels don’t last.

Pros:- It has that shape, size, and feel that keeps me using Redragon mice- It goes with the keyboard of theirs I bought- Lots of features for the priceCons:- Redragon scroll wheels just DO NOT last, mine went bad after two months- I don’t personally find using the number buttons comfortable and they aren’t necessary for the gaming I do- I feel ripped off paying more for a mouse that broke faster than their cheaper modelsFurther:I play Tarkov. Maybe it’s because I play Tarkov that these keep breaking so easily? I click the scroll wheel a lot when I play that game and maybe that’s not something their products are really built for handling. I don’t know. What I do know is that they have broken on every mouse I’ve bought from them. Specifically whenever I try to click it or scroll with it now it jitters in random directions and is just useless. What’s worse is that it only took two months for this to happen on this mouse, where it took longer on the cheaper model I had before.I’m so tired of this garbage. I just want a mouse I like the feel of to work.
