    Missing power supply

Bought this as a gift for my wife. She loved playing sonic growing up. But when we opened the box it’s was just the console controllers and cables. No power supply was included. How do I request one?Current review will be 1star because we can’t even test it out.

Great for a Sega Genesis fan!

For a person who grew up playing Sega Genesis in the 90’s, I thought this was fantastic. My kids love it. Lots of preloaded games, some really great popular games and some other less known as well. It was easy to connect to TV and has a slot to play any other games if you buy cartridges. Very satisfied for the money. Just keep in mind the resolution was top notch for the early 90’s.

Super ever drive for snes is better. It’s collecting dust on my shelf.

Came with a useless controller so I had to buy new ones. That rarely happens I’m sure.

It does come with some good games though the it is also full of plenty …

Works with all games and though the wireless remotes are basically pointless (especially with 2 player) you can plug in regular remotes in and you’ll never notice the difference from an original Sega Genesis. It does come with some good games though the it is also full of plenty of junk ones.

    Cheaply made but works well

Wasn’t sure what to expect but its kind of cheaply made. It works well though. Bought it for my 8 year old grandson who doesn’t take the best care of his things so I wasn’t looking to spend a lot on a game system. Games are built in so I don’t have to remind him to pick them up or put them away. It’s a good starter to the video game world

    Good First Impressions

So until I bought this console I had never played or really had seen any Sega Console or too much gameplay from it (I grew up in the sixth generation of consoles) but recently I have been going crazy getting as many consoles as I can so that I can experience what I missed and I must say this Genesis did the trick pretty well.Pros:80 games built in40 of which are real sega gamesFits anywhere pretty wellCartridge slotGood MenuFastTwo controller ports (trust me you’ll want wired controllers)Cons:Audio is annoyingWireless controllers are Infrared (you’ll have to be pointing it directly at the console)Very light, to the point it gets pulled out when using wired controllersSo all in all it’s a really good deal, sure it may have some flaws but I was blown away by the games that were on it. So I’d say I had a pretty good introduction to Sega

    Not as Advertised

I thought I was buying brand new console. But it came used. Kind of pricey for being used. Plus it didn’t come inside the box in the picture. It was all put into a regular little box. It advertised that it came with Streets of Rage 1,2,3. That’s a lie. It doesn’t. That was part of the reason I bought it for those games. Let’s see. The Mortal Kombat games don’t function properly. The second reason for purchasing it was its ability to play original Sega cartridge games. It played the cartridges but the slot is real tight fit. Feels like you can damage your cartridge. It advertises 80 games. Their virtually useless games that are a waste of space. The reason it gave it 2 stars because of the false advertising. Overly priced. There are other consoles I would of bought.

My 20 year old son digs it

I bought this for my son, who for some reason likes “classic” games over xbox or playstation stuff. I asked him if I had gotten the right one and if he liked it. He said, “It’s the tits.” That’s as good as it gets.

Sega Genesis Flashback console by AtGames Review

You know when I first plugged in this Sega Genesis Flashback I knew I would be psyched to play this to a degree.Sonic’s Ultimate Sega Genesis Collection managed to soak up that desired nostalgia from my gap away from the Sega Genesis for so long. Now this Flashback console added Jewel Master.Columns III.Chakan:The Forever Man,The Ooze, and Eternal Champions which was cool.I didn’t catch on to this but Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is missing from the family of Sonic titles…strange.None of the games are slow so there’s no framerate lag.The audio is fair-you can hear a little distortion finish to the music tracks from the pitch being a little off.Controller buttons respond well and no complaints about the quality. My wireless controllers pick up a better signal than people judged about.I didn’t like the tiny Phillips screw for the already well snapping in controller battery covers.Game Selection/Cartridge Slot:If you haven’t caught on yet you get 40 Sega Genesis titles and 40 homemade non-genesis titles.Aside from mentioning Sonic 3 not being among this boxed version (with Sonic on it). There is a new version with Mortal Kombat 1-3 on it that switches places with more Sonic titles and keeping the Sega Genesis game quantity at 40.Now we get to the cartridge slot and I had only had Joe Montana NFL Football ’94,Dragon’s Fury, and Dragon’s Revenge. The one game that didn’t work was Dragon’s Revenge and it doesn’t use any proprietary technology as others mentioned in this compatibility issue.I chalked this up as my game’s cartridge board were beyond cleaning and I put hard to see wear on it 20 years ago.So I acquired a brand new/factory sealed copy of Dragon’s Revenge(which was fairly pricy)…it didn’t work either.I was very mad and it makes me hesitant to buy even any well treated Genesis games because you don’t know what will and won’t work.I paid $47 for it and I was just desiring the other 40 titles and the cartridge issue.I’d play $75-80 for this Flashback console if it had over 100 genesis titles or 50 game expansion packs you could plug into the system.Bottom Line:I like what AtGames has done with the ColecoVision,Intellivision, and Atari Flashback consoles. And those systems by the way?no homemade stuff…all titles released for those systems. Now for AtGames to build on any of these systems more is of course licensing fees and increase the amount of games not switch out (like the Genesis flashback Sonic vs. MK version for 2015).It’s funny though you look at this Sega Genesis flashback and even though it’s the most expensive.Even though some may call the ColecoVision,Intellivision, and Atari outdated through taste preference. The Genesis is the one I consider to be flawed.

It works, controllers are a bit meh but overall it works

Works well so far, although the resolution (as expected) isn’t made for modern tv’s so it looks very blocky on my 32 inch tv but it works, brings back memories and is fun to play games I used to play as a kid.my biggest complain about this console is Controllers, but I bought a wired controller tfrom the Hyperlink and so my only problem was solved.
