The best headset I’ve ever owned period

I’ve had Astro A40’s, Plantronics RIG, Cloud and a few others and these blow all of them out of the water with features alone. The mix amp on your phone is a thing of beauty t, the button and wheel mapping are awesome if you’re like me and browse your phone between matches you can hear the audio from your phone and the Xbox. The earcups are some of the most comfortable ones I have ever used, perfect if you have glasses and run HOT headed like me. They sound great, obviously I would expect no less form turtlebeach and I freaking love the all black! I can go on and on about how great these are and totally worth the $50 over the 600’s turtle beach is definitely back on top with these can’t recommend them enough. 10/10 nailed it, near perfect!

    Functionally Annoying

My older Turtle Beach AX420s were getting a little worn and saw these were coming out so figured i’d check it out. Friend of mine has the first gen 700s and has cracking and audio distortion randomly and figured gen 2 would fix that….NOPE! Got them out of the box and I have to say that they are EXTREMELY comfortable; super soft foam that just sinks in and is breathable. Got them connected to xbox and dived right in. First issue right out of the gate is the microphone. Everyone in party chat told me that if i talked above a whisper it just distorted audio and couldn’t hear me at all. Moved the boom up to right before where it auto-mute and normal conversation voice was fine but anything louder than that did the same cut outs as it was over-stimulated.Moving past the microphone, it was vary apparent that there is something with this series that they are easily interfered with from outside wireless devices. My router sits over 10 feet away from xbox and further away from where I was sitting. That did not matter, there was intermittent audio distortion (cracking and popping) that took over the audio from the game and party chat. Just like the old series, as my buddy told me, Turtle Beach Customer Support just says to move the router further away and try it again. No one should have to pay this high of price for a headset to have to rearrange their house. Returned after 2 days.

    App doesnt work!

Love the feel and sound. Hate that the app doesnt work. The only way to tune these is via the app. Sure they sound good. But for me, I want the super hearing for footsteps. I play COD Warzone and that’s what I need to hear, footsteps! But I’ve seen the reviews in the app store and it’s a big problem. Once they fix it I’ll update my review.

    Should have bigger sizes

Haven’t come up with problems yet, but these are small. If you have a big head and big ears like me the headset will squeeze you’re head (which you get numb in time) then you have ear pain from in sucha small ear hole in about an hour, any more than an hour it get worse so I have to take brakes.Edit:I now know why my ears hurt. Its because these headsets are swishing my ears into my glasses. I now have to put something soft in between my glasses and my ears. Also I have had ones in a great moon problem where the headset will un pair to the xbox[ Have to turn off headset and turn it make on]

Features were great, but sound quality issues for me

I purchased this unit because it seems to be one of the better wireless units on the market. I thought it was extremely comfortable, the flip up and down mic was great, the controls were good, the App worked great to control the features of the unit (after the updated software) but I had issues with crackling occasionally while playing games. When it was working, it sounded great. But randomly I’d go through like 1-5 minutes of crackling sound, almost like it was getting interference from something. But it sounded fine over Bluetooth when this was happening, so it was something do to with the wireless connection to the xbox one. Sometimes restarting the device would make it work again, sometimes not.Anyway, when working it was absolutely great. But I was really disappointed with the crackling, so I ended up returning the unit since it’s primary function was for game sound.

App doesnt work, cant mix sound at all

These stealth 700 gen 2 are supposed to have an app that allows you to mix the audio properly. This app does not connect at all to the headset. This wouldnt be such an issue if it wasnt the ONLY way to switch thru the equalizer settings. The name of the app is Turtle Beach Audio Hub, and you can go read the tons of bad reviews for it. Why would they make this the only way to change from the “super human hearing” setting (default)?? This takes all the bass and surround sound out of the equalizer leaving you with a very high treble tinny sound.I have tried to uninstall/reinstall the app, clear the cache, clear the data etc and nothing works to Bluetooth these headsets to the app. I can see its connected to my phone in the Bluetooth settings, but the app cannot see it? This is ridiculous for $150 newly redesigned headsets from one of the top manufacturers of these devices! C’mon TB, what is taking you so long to fix this app??? Why cant we change the options by just hitting the mode button? Did nobody QA test these before they were made to send out?I will be returning these if TB support cant help me on Monday. Oh, that’s another thing, when i put in my Serial number into the TB support site for someone to contact me, it says my S/N is invalid. I know its right as ive entered it numerous times as it wont let me send a support ticket without it validating. What is wrong with you guys? Fix your suport site as well! Im starting to feel like TB just doesnt want you to contact them as they dont have any answers. Buy something else if you are considering these terribly designed headset/app combo.

    CLOSE, but no cigar =(

There are plenty of reviews out there now for the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 headset, so i won’t bother with those fine details. Here’s just MY pros/cons list.PRO:* Sound is nice and rich! Booming bass, highs and mids are crisp and clear.* Microphone is EXCELLENT quality and sounds best when connected to PC. Xbox chat was good, but friends said i sounded slightly muffled no matter how i moved the mic.* Quick mute (by flipping the boom mic up) should be standard on all headsets.CONS:* CONNECTIVITY!!! The first week was perfect with the Xbox Wireless protocol. Zero latency for real. This latest version of Bluetooth is very close to zero latency as well. All this changed in week 2. dropping signal about every 15-30 minutes is completely unacceptable.* FIT – these thangs are TIGHT, in a not good way. They never loosened up a bit. They squeeze my head so much i got a headache every gaming session i wore them.* Ear cup-things actually made my head MUCH hotter than my old Afterglow LvL 3’s that have simple pleather. This memory foam feels nice for the first 5 minutes… then they heat up. They are also huge and put pressure on my jawline to the point that i am constantly opening my mouth and moving my jaw around like a fish, just to work out the discomfort. You also can’t sit back with your head resting on your chair/couch without sitting perfectly straight. If you rotate your head to either side, the headset presses in even more on your head because they are HUGE.* WEIGHT – These things are HEAVY. like 1.75lbs heavy. Compared to my old headset that sounds almost as good but weighing only 0.9lbs. this was a BIG strike against the headset. All in all, I am just not satisfied with this headset. SPECIALLY at the $150 price point! Maybe my set was a dud, but that doesn’t speak to how uncomfortable this headset is. Returning =(

Much Better Build Quality vs 1st Gen

I’ve owned Gen 1 Stealth 600s and 700s and compared to Gen 1 the quality of the Gen 2 headset is much, much better. The ear-cups are far more comfortable. It’s much less flimsy and feels like an Arctis Pro (which I have also owned). I have tried many different headsets for Xbox and Turtle Beach has the best connectivity and fewest issues. They have definitely stepped their game up with this headset.Update: I can confirm the app is now working and you are able to adjust the mic monitoring! All is well!

Excellent Quality, HUGE improvement from Gen 1

Love this headset! It is a major improvement from Gen 1. It is of a much higher build quality, has a premium feel to it, cleaner look, and the cushions are much better than before. As someone who wears eye glasses 24/7, this one is also a lot more comfortable than the last gen. I’ve had no connectivity issues whatsoever – it is easy to connect it to the app. All one has to do is press on the bluetooth button on the headset, and it connects. To connect to Xbox, hold the smallest black button next to the indicator light. It took less than 10 minutes to unbox, connect to app and update firmware, then connect to Xbox. Not sure why everyone’s having issues – it’s an amazing headset!

Amazing headset, and yes the app does work!

I want to first start off saying I was totally against TB, the last headset I had from them was garbage and felt like a kids toy, however after preordering the Xbox Series X I knew I needed a good headset and these officially advertise to work with the new Xbox so I went ahead and decided to try them out and boy am I glad I did.First these feel premium, they have weight to it and fit to your head and form perfectly! They are tight at first but after about an hour they break in and feel perfect. I don’t really notice the cooling gel ear pads as my ears do get warm but that’s not really a big deal as they fit so snugly to eliminate outside noises. As far as the weight is they way right around 14oz, so they are beefey but not to the point where they feel like they become a weight on your head. I’ve done hours and hours of gaming and honestly I forget they are on.Sound quality is amazing! I paired it to my phone to listen to music and the bass it has is just breath taking. Game audio sounds amazing and you can actually hear footsteps and where they are coming from.App, so I saw a lot of people mention you can’t connect the headset to the app. However in order to have the headset pair to the app you must paid the headset to the phone. To do this open the app and let it start searching, now hit the Bluetooth button and the headset will say “Bluetooth on” and the app will find the headset instantly! If you want to paid your phone to the headset then you just press and hold the Bluetooth button and your phone will be able to find the headset and pair to it.The app allows you to customize what the buttons do and allows you to easily adjust your chat volume and change settings. You can also update firmware which is great as new features and bug fixes can be implemented with ease!Overall I am EXTREMLY satisfied with the 700 series and highly reccomend them. You won’t be disappointed.
