Silence is Golden
From a wife’s perspective: Thank the Heavens for I don’t have to hear the incessant clickity-clack of my husband’s other gaming keyboard anymore. I know he loves his other one that makes a loud click when you type but man, I was about to throw that keyboard out the window whenever he played League of Legends with it. It was so annoying. This new keyboard however, is so quiet; it’s music to my ears. He’s working from home now and whenever he spoke to clients on the phone, everyone was able to hear the loud clicks from his other keyboard which were making his clients a little upset. Fast forward to today, everyone is happy. Husband, me and his job are all enjoying the silence of this keyboard.

The most perfect typing experience I’ve ever had
This keyboard gets 3 things extremely right:1. Typing is perfect, the keys are not glossy so it’s a cleaner look, and typing isnt obnoxiously loud2. It looks fantastic and has a design like that of a professional piece of equipment rather than a kids toy like most other gaming keyboards. You can’t even tell it specializes in gaming from most perspectives.3. The price is very reasonable for what you get, and I consider it spot on in terms of pricingI bought this keyboard for doing research papers, learning to code, and for very light gaming so if you’re buying it for productivity then take my word for it and buy it. If you’re a gamer, I’m not the best source because I dont primarily use it for gaming and dont know whether this qualifies as a good keyboard for that. But if you want something that gives you an incredible typing experience and you type a lot, then this keyboard is a 10/10 by me hands down.

For work and play – Love it!
Absolutely love this keyboard. Had to return a corsair keyboard because the crap software rendered it useless. Bought this one as the replacement, works with no issues. I was a little worried about spending so much on a keyboard – especially since I had been using a split ergo keyboard, but after a few days on this, I can barely use the split keyboard anymore. I do some gaming, but for the most part I’m working on this keyboard all day, every day doing software development. This keyboard was worth every penny – there is just no comparison to a membrane keyboard. Key press is very definitive – no sticky/mushy key presses (No, nothing was ever spilled on the old one). I’m even pretty sure I’ve picked up a word or two a minute since the switch – definitely seem to be making less mistakes. I’m a mechanical keyboard convert.

Well built Razer product
Excellent keyboard. I only have one (minor) gripe with it. The keys seem to come off rather easily. They stay on fine when being used normally, but I’ll find that they flop forward occasionally if I bump the keyboard with any amount of force. Bird owners beware I guess. Also, the keys on the side took me a while to get used to, especially since I type with it in my lap, versus having it sit on a desk. The cords that connect the keyboard to the computer are very sturdy, and the headphone jack works very well. But I don’t recommend using the attached USB port for anything other than mice or similar peripherals. Transfer speeds with any flash drives I used were very low(USB 1.0 levels I’d say) even when both the keyboard’s USB cables were plugged into USB 3.0 ports.

Great keyboard. I use it for work
Great keyboard. I use it for work, not gaming. I love the macro options. They come in handy for the repetitive tasks I have. It’s a nice full size, very sturdy. The software seems like it wants to update every other day though. I can’t imagine what is so important that they have to release so many darn updates all the time. The action on the keys is nice and it provides a good “clicky” feel. However, I wish the keys were ever so slightly less resistant to pressure. Even after owning this for a few months I still notice that they keys need just a bit more of a press than other keyboards do, even “clicky” ones.

This is a great keyboard. I bought this because work only provided …
This is a great keyboard. I bought this because work only provided me with a choice of whatever keyboards came with some other computers from way back when. At home I use the BlackWidow Ultimate but my girl said that my coworkers would kill me if I bought one of those to use at work. This is not loud and clicky, but it isn’t silent like what comes with a Dell desktop.Pros: Just the right amount of key travel, no click from the switch, just the key hitting the bottom. Great feel (subjective I know) but you can tell immediately if you screw up while typing. The keyboard has quite a bit of weight to it which I love because it isn’t going anywhere, so it stays put and looks awesome on any desk. There’s plenty of cord, which is braided and I appreciate the USB port on the side.Cons: This model does not have the backlight. The USB port on the side of the keyboard has its own dedicated plug which looks like the keyboard plug except that one is marked Razor. A hub config with USB ports on both sides would be nice and would make the cable thinner and more manageable. No cons whatsoever on the actual performance of the keys themselves.

Perfect (almost) for the office environment – stay away from MX Cherry Blue!
This should probably be a five-star review but a couple of the features I presume other people want ding it down a star for me personally. For starters, this thing is quiet. Originally I had purchased a nice MX Cherry Blue keyboard, which was a joy to type on, but the clacking was too loud for my open office environment – it was even too loud for me when I was working alone, with noise-cancelling headphones on. It wasn’t even so much the volume as it was the pitch. It’s got such a high pitch click that it was really distracting and almost went out the window. Instead, it went back to Amazon and I got the Razer BlackWidow instead. Much better choice for an office environment. It’s smooth to type on (much better than the mushy keyboard we’ve become accustom to) and has a nice feel to it. I wish it had a wrist comfort thing, but it’s ok… I don’t even use them anyway, I just like to know they are there I guess. The only reason I’m taking off one star… well, I guess there are two related reasons… as I bought this to be a typing keyboard for work, and not a gaming keyboard, I feel like it’s the tiniest bit compact and more importantly, I hate the macro buttons on the left. I realize these are features gamers desire so it’s tough to knock it for that, but I didn’t realize how I anchor my fingers on a keyboard with my left pinky starting on the Shift button at the far left edge of a normal keyboard. Now that’s a row of macros, so it’s incredible how many more typos I have – consistently hitting Caps Lock instead of the A key as an example, because I’m off to the left by one column. I’m getting used to it after a few weeks of use, and my typos are way down, but I can’t think of a use for those keys and would generally prefer a slightly larger keyboard for my desk. That said, the quiet operation is well worth the trade-off. And if you want this for quiet gaming, I imagine it’s perfect. Thumbs up.

Worth it.
I originally bought the BlackWidow Ultimate for use at work, but found that the “clicky” factor tended to disrupt some of my coworkers. However, I had become extremely reliant on some of the features that come with the Razer BlackWidow keyboards (macros, most notably). I waited for a sale on the Stealth Edition and picked it up as soon as I could. I’ve had many coworkers (gamers and nongamers alike) stop by my desk simply because of how nice the keyboard looks and sounds, although it is quiet enough to not be disruptive. After trying out a mechanical keyboard, I knew that there was no way I could go back to a membrane keyboard, and while I definitely consider myself something of a “Razer fanboy,” this product is very deserving of my fandom. I spent a couple days coding without it (I’m a software engineer), and found that my wrist and elbow were both hurting. After bringing my keyboard back into the office, the aches went away after a day’s use. While the price is certainly steeper than some other mechanical keyboards on the market, Razer keyboards come with some inherent “nerd cred.” If this isn’t a big concern for you, there may be some other options that are more suited for your needs, but I would highly recommend finding someone with a BlackWidow and trying it out before making the decision. I myself tried out Das, Ducky, and Corsair keyboards (each with different Cherry MX switches) before finally settling on the BlackWidow, and I haven’t had a single regret.

Lasted 5 years
“up to 60 million keystrokes” but not quite.I’m thinking the main board may be the issue instead of the switches though, I started getting double presses with 1 key, then 2, then 5. I took all the keys off, cleaned it thoroughly, blew out the offending keys with compressed air and even cleaned them with alcohol when that didn’t work.Giving up. 5 years is a decent run though for the amount of use.

Not so quiet, and way too sensitive for daily/writing use
As an editor who spends all day typing, I was really excited to get myself a high-end keyboard, and I thought a keyboard made for obsessive gamers was sure to be comfortable and accurate for a very fast typer like me. It is comfortable, although I don’t like the typeface used on the keys at all. And it is accurate. But it’s way too sensitive for everyday writing. I am CONSTANTLY hitting the wrong key because my finger just brushed. And I’m not sure how they can call it “stealth”; it’s actually slightly louder than the old generic keyboard I was replacing. I’m pretty disappointed in this purchase.Update:I tried switching back to my old keyboard and I HATED it in comparison to this one. The keys felt so mushy. So now I feel happier with this one, and I’ve moved my home office out of the bedroom so that it’s not as important to type quietly. I do still wish it was slightly less sensitive, though.
