Buy it, you wont regret it.

Best keyboard I’ve had to date, the customization is outstanding. I didn’t know it at the time of purchase but it is a little louder than i thought which is very pleasing to me since it comes close to sounding like a typewriter. The colors and lighting is very entertaining. I’ve already spent a few hours just messing with the lights and personalizing it. It was a little confusing at first but its easy after you spend a few minutes messing with it. you can change the keybindings, and save your keyboard setups so you can have multiple load outs at the push of a button. Whether you want to have it set up as media friendly or gamer setup. Didnt really have much of a tutorial but most is pretty self explanatory.

Best Keyboard for First Person Shooters by far

I have now upgraded from the Razer Blackwidow Tournament Edition Stealth Black Edition to the Razer BlackWidow 2016 Razer Green Switches Keyboard and i can’t be happier.I play competitive csgo and with my old keyboard sometimes i would fumble with the keys and accidentaly press a different key from the one i desired. With this keyboard, there is just enough accuation force so i dont do that anymore. People say that the Razer Yellows/Cherry MX Speed or some kind of linear switches are the best for fps gaming, and if you prefer thats ok. But if you use something like this or a cherry mx blue, you wont fumble your keys and you’ll most likely always press the right ones. Also, being it summer break as of now, i stay up really late gaming. Another complaint of these keyswitches are “they make my fingers tired.” well i dont know if its because if race go karts and have lots of stamina or what but my fingers have not once gotten tired while gaming. So there, thats my “review”.

I do not recommend buying the product as they do not do enough …

Latest driver screwed up this keyboard to where it is unusable. Constant need to hit ESC to unstick a key that is not physically stuck. I do not recommend buying the product as they do not do enough testing when releasing new drivers. Regression testing is a must folks.

    Great alternative to my Rosewill

I’m a medical transcriptionist and I needed a second keyboard. I have a mechanical keyboard, Rosewill, that I love but it has a glitch in the software and it will repeat a key function from time to time which is very annoying. Most importantly this has blue cherry switches which are the fastest and have a tactile click. The keys are still ever so slightly slower than my broken in keyboard but I highly recommend.

Broken after 3.5 years of use

I very much enjoyed this keyboard at first. I liked the weight of it as well as the sound the keys made. I had no issues until about a year into use. The tab key light broke. I was kind of disappointed but I can understand it happens. Then, about a year after that, the space bar broke. The hooks that connect to the metal wire had broken off somewhere. Now, as of today, the space bar no longer works. Even if I remove the entire bar and attempt to directly use the switch itself. Very disappointed in this product, especially with the pricetag. Mechanical keyboards are supposed to last at least a decade. This one didn’t even make it 4 years. Just another overpriced product inflated by Razer’s massive advertising budget.

Very basic packaging, but keyboard itself lives up to expectation

Razer keyboard as expected. Although it came late from Amazon, the keyboard did not disappoint. Very sturdy build with back lit and loud mechanical tactile feedback. Definitely old school. It might be distracting if you have a roommate thou…A bit disappointed with the packaging for a $100 keyboard (box was different from what was posted online). Comparing with the Razer Kraken box (see picture for side by side), I though I received a refurb unit until I checked the label saying it’s new item.

Works as expected, good almost IBM-feel, no lighting mode change from keyboard

After 7 years my older Razer wore out. Time for a new one! I don’t know if anyone remembers the old, original, IBM mechnical keyboards 20+ years ago. The Razer is about as close to that as I’ve ever seen.I had to dock it one star because the lighting mode can’t be controlled from the keyboard and defaults to a weird modulation. Not everyone connects these things to Windows or Linux computers!!! So I had to just turn the backlight off and leave it at that.-Matt

    1st mechanical keyboard.

Surprisingly, several keys had fallen off during shipment. As it is a mechanical keyboard they pressed back on with no issue, but this was an unexpected step upon un-boxing. -1 star for keys falling off.

    Very well made

Fantastic keyboard. I’ve been using this to game competitively for a few months now and have nothing negative to say about this keyboard. The lighting effects are cool, it’s easy to clean, it is super responsive, has a good keyboard software program and the wiring is very thick and well made. I use this on the go and it stands up to abuse. Some people say this is too loud but if your mic settings are fine who cares.

Perfect keyboard if you prefer an old school

Perfect keyboard if you prefer an old school, mechanical type keyboard. It’s modern, it’s edgy, it’s back-lit, and the best keyboard I’ve used in many, many years. I highly recommend if you prefer the old school feel with high profile keys. It’s loud and definitely makes you sound like you’re typing with purpose– whether you are or aren’t! I also have the newer “ornata” keyboard by the same manufacturer. I like the ornata as well, but the keys there are hybrid-mechanical. The ornata is more clicky, perhaps a medium profile key, instead of a high profile like with the Blackwidow Ultimate 2016 (this keyboard). These keys are definitely much smoother, remind me of a 1990s keyboard, just with a modern edge look and feel. Also the ornata keys sometimes make a squeak sound, due to their hybrid nature. However, this keyboard does not have that problem. Definitely my favorite Razer keyboard thus far!
