    Better than I thought possible

I use a Dark Core RGB SE on my gaming desktop and have to say that it’s feel is just as good, and may even be a little more comfortable to use, along with better RGB. While the lighting is questionable at best through the software (I can’t get it to maintain any static color aside from green) it’s a clear upgrade from my Havit HV-MS735 I’ve used for the past 1.5-2 years which cost me twice as much.*Update*The software has completely stopped working on this mouse, given several reinstalls and tested on multiple PC’s, it’s stuck static red now. It is nice, and very comfortable.

    I don’t often give 1 star

I usually don’t give 1 star but this is a waste of money at any price point. I don’t know who would “game” using this mouse but I would not expect good results at all. The application that comes with the mouse doesn’t keep settings correctly (DPI/Color) so what are you buying this for? I was trying to get it for work, but it feels like Very cheap plastic and i prefer using an old standard mouse than this. Save your Money!

Great look/design. Bad ergonomics and more.

The mouse in itself is nice to look at first glace and even retains a nice feel for it’s design. It attempts to be ergonomic for most but I suppose some like myself would understand the problems once they attempt to get a feel for it.Firstly it will fit most hands fairly well with it’s contoured shape. It’s designed to let your hand rest with it and that’s a good thing. However once you get past the grip and come to terms with the additional button placements… This is where you start to notice the problems. I believe the side buttons (thumb buttons) are placed too far forward. The forward button despite it’s raised surface textures is too far forward for a relaxed grip on the mouse. Then if you would move your hand forward as if to clutch the mouse you cannot press the other middle mouse buttons so easily without a very uncomfortable bend in the middle finger (perhaps only people with large hands may experience this problem?) and I find it to be very impractical despite it being a button to be used for utility especially given consideration that it is fully programmable. The fact you have to switch your hand positioning frequently in order to use this mouse also makes it quite useless for flicks if you’re a person who plays shooters or real time strategies. You won’t be able to get comfortable with a single grip and work with it as you’re learning two wrist motions to get the same results now that you are using two ways to grip your mouse to use the additional buttons.Once you get past that, I’d also say it’s not great for FPS or shooters in general because the mouse has a tendency to skip inputs from the optical. I mean it reads the mouse pad or surface you put it on no problem. It just seems to skip coordinates if that makes sense. You can’t have a pinpoint aim when your mouse is off by an X or Y variable because it skips marginal gaps between each increment of movement. It feels as if it counts by 2’s and there is no half measures so you’re always attempting to adjust and by that time you’ve probably already lost the fight. So if you’re looking to buy this mouse for a shooter, save your money and upgrade to a brand that you know is reliable and has massively good feedback about it’s use in shooters. This mouse for me however was a cheap place holder until I can replace my last gaming mouse for shooters and other various games. So it will fit the bill until I can replace it, however I won’t recommend you buy this if you’re only interest is competitive shooters, the nerd rage you will suffer far exceeds the value of this product as it’s unreliable and inaccurate.

Not exactly what is promised but good as it is

It took a bit to get used to having all of my fingers being on supports build into the mouse because I am used to having them wrapped around the mouse completely but I am getting used to that and actually like it. The only issue is it is a bit harder to pick up the mouse quickly while I game. It tracks well and have had no gaming issues with it at all. The cord is nice and long and the mouse seems to be well put together. The only true complaint I have with it is the software. There are 2 buttons behind the scroll wheel that they say can be reformatted to whatever key you want. This isn’t true. No matter how many videos I watch or how many times I try they only change the lighting on the mouse itself. that’s disappointing because I used those buttons regularly for specific tasks in game and now have had to change. There is also no way to lock the lightshow so every time I go to hit them out of habit the light change and does different stuff. I have just decided to turn off the lights completely so they don’t distract me. So overall, a good solid mouse with a few ‘minor’ issues. If given the chance, I would not purchase this particular mouse again.

    Great for the price!

The mouse is good and pretty good ergonomically, but its only 4000 dpi not 7000. It is a better low end mouse and has been working great. the plastic is a little flimsy but other wise it is great. the rgb is cool but too bright for me and the software doesn’t even work. It is definitely worth the price but you are only getting $20 of mouse, not $40, $60 or $80 of mouse. Its good for what it is but its not a $50 mouse. However it is really reliable and not bad to throw in a backpack, it has been working fine for 3 months and i have dropped it several times. It was a good call to use a braided cord. The buttons are in the perfect places for me. If you are new to gaming this is a great place to start. It will take some getting used to if you use a normal mouse, but once you’re used to it it’s really comfortable to use. I will update it with a photo later.

It’s garbage. Too late to return so I’m just throwing it away.

I’m a PC mmorpg gamer and just installed this. It looks a lot nicer than a black mouse. I’ll update when I’ve been in game a while. The top is pretty slippery/smooth and needs some texture.*** if you get the mouse and it feels heavy and doesn’t move well, there’s probably plastic over the pads on the bottom.2 weeks in: It can be frustrating to use. The top is still too slippery with the weight but if I lotion up my hands so they’re not dry it’s a little easier to grip. The biggest problem I’m running into now is the app. The pointer speed keeps resetting so I have to go into it and change that then the color resets. This company has been around long enough to have a good running app but clearly they don’t give a crap.5 weeks in: I had purchased clear egrips in order to help this thing with gripping. They only do so much. My wrist hurts now sometimes in trying to use this mouse.

Exceptional Gaming Mouse Especially on a Budget

Bottom Line: I am very impressed by this mouse ESPECIALLY considering I paid so little for it.I bought this mouse about 9 months ago because I was using the standard mouse that Lenovo gave me to game… ICK yes I know.I game enough to care about getting good quality items but I’m also at the point in my life that spending a lot of money on something like a gaming mouse is absurd.I can honestly say I wouldn’t trade this mouse for a $50 mouse if you gave it to me for free. It has very good weight, the DPI setting button is very convenient to use as well as the color select (if you’re into colors, there are plenty). Additionally I love the very simple extra 2 buttons above the thumb for a push to talk so that I don’t have to change my left hand position. However, if you don’t want to use these buttons you wont even know they’re there as they sit just above the thumb.People who may not like this:1) If you want a mouse with a lot of built in grip. The sides are very comfy and SMOOTH, if you love rubber grip this isn’t for you.2) If you need a lot of bells and whistles and 2 additional buttons isn’t enough for you3) If you THINK you NEED more than 3000 DPI… I use this on many FPSs with top DPI and low game sensitivity… works perfect

Decent quality RGB mouse for the price

Bought this for my son as he has been nagging me for an RGB mouse after seeing my Razer Chroma Setup (RGB keyboard, mouse, mouse pad, speakers). Him being only 8 I told him we’ll start with something on the cheaper side and if he can show he can take care of his computer equipment i’ll eventually buy him a high end one.Anyways, came across this on Amazon search for rgb mouse, bought it and set it up on his computer. The build quality is quite nice and the colors are nice and bright.I dont recall if there was a software to control the lighting schemes but there are presets you can switch between pushing a specific button on the mouse. Also the size feels good in the hand and as far as its performance it seems to be pretty accurate.Overall great price, good mouse. Worth the purchase.

    Amazing. That being said

This has been an interesting experience for me. Firstly, at the time of this review, this mouse is $13. Amazing. That being said, when I initially bought this watch, my expectations were pretty low. When the mouse arrived, I plugged it in and started to test it out, but the mouse would not track. Thinking, “Oh, it’s just a $13 mouse, what can you expect” and returned it to get my money back.Having my impressions of the Nemeanlion soured, I then invested a bit more and went with the M801 Mammoth (love it, btw) and thought that was the end of it, but then I received an email from the seller, Challenger USA. After explaining why I returned the product, they were very gracious and ended up sending me a replacement for free in good faith. So having a functioning Nemeanlion, here’s my review. In comparison to the Mammoth and other intermediate computer mouses, it’s obviously not as good. It’s too small for my large hands and the ambidextrous nature of the mouse is a tad uncomfortable, but when I gifted it to my friend who has been using a supplied HP mouse, it was amazing. You may think this is lame, but the braided cable is a god-send. The LEDs are bright and will perfectly accent any black and red setup. The forwards and backwards buttons are simply perfect and the adjustable DPI makes the mouse useful for any situation.Overall, this is the perfect choice if you just want to upgrade from a basic mouse for the price of what is a night’s dinner. Gets a thumbs up from me.If you found this review helpful, smack that button 🙂

    Good mouse, bad software

[UPDATE]I just bought another one of these. Since I bought the last one, I also bought a Logitech, a Corsair, and a Razer. I like the Logitech a bit more but it was several times the price and it lives on my gaming desk because I don’t want to damage it. This mouse is better than the Corsair or the Razor, and it’s cheap enough to toss in a backpack without much concern about breaking it. Once again I had to do physical mods to get rid of the pointless lightshow; no idea why they keep spending more money to make their product worse by including this ‘feature’. I took pictures this time. Here is the process:1.) Press on the mouse feet with your fingers until you find where the screw holes are.2.) Poke through with an xacto knife, trim away around the screws so that there is a nice chamfer on the remaining material (you don’t want bits that will get stuck on stuff while in use) (see picture).3.) Remove the 4 screws.4.) Pry up the mouse by the white area on the back side.5.) Unplug the wire going to the top half of the mouse.6.) Pull up the right side of the mouse to remove it.7.) Unscrew and unplug the board attached to the wheel…it can be tossed.8.) Clip the legs of the 4-lead LED and toss it as well.9.) Using a side cutter or small pliers, crush the led’s (circled in image) until there is nothing left but the traces below. Shake the little bits into the trash; you don’t want them rattling around in the mouse.10.) Plug the top half of the mouse back in and reattach with the 4 screws.11.) (optional) – You can buy mouse foot material that can be cut to various shapes, or that comes in generic shapes. This can be used to replace the mouse feet that you have to cut to get to the screws, but I find that just doing a quality cut leaves the old feet perfectly functional.I know that’s not the ‘correct’ way to remove LED’s, but it is the easiest given the way this mouse is assembled, and I don’t intend to reuse them anyway.[/UPDATE]The mouse is great. It fits my large hand well. Tracks well even on a cheap plastic table. Clicks all work perfectly, including the wheel. The software is terrible; if you play around with it long enough you can get the mouse to stop flashing at you but it never sticks. I ended up opening the mouse and just removing all the flashing LED’s…THERE WERE A LOT OF THEM! This was a large improvement as even in direct sunlight the LED’s are too bright and flashy, and in the dark they were far brighter than my screen. Note to seller: save some money and skip the LED’s…you will have a better product and people won’t have to do surgery and replace mouse feet to make your product acceptable.
