Great budget 60% entry level keyboard with Bluetooth.

The keyboard has a nice size, has nice lighting and even Bluetooth. On Bluetooth the keyboard does disconnect if no keys are used after a few minutes and reactivates after a press. So I think it would be fine for gaming wired, but be careful gaming via Bluetooth. I also put pudding caps on mine and it looks great!Lastly, the plastic board is kinda eh and makes bottoming out sound weird. And the fn layer is weird to get used to. But for the price, its hard to beat and I think it’s well worth the price. If you want a good quality keyboard for decent prices but don’t know what switches you like, buy a gmmk barebones board and do research on switches. If you want higher quality wireless and don’t care about money get the Anne pro 2. But this will suffice fine as an entry 60% board.

    Favorite keyboard

I was unsure about 60% keyboards, and I wanted to try one, but didn’t want to spend over $100. With that in mind I saw this as a good in between price wise. This is now my favorite I’ve ever used, the keys feel great and the RGB looks great too, with multiple modes to choose from. If you want to try a 60% keyboard for the first time, or if you have already been accustomed to using them, I’d highly recommend this keyboard.

    LOVE IT SOOOO MUCH!!

Im in love with this super cool keyboard. The quality is excellent and the light is extremely beautiful. I like the feel of mechanical keyboards. This helps me to type much faster and easier than before. The sound is not loud, and the design of the keyboard is also good for game playing. Really recommend this keyboard!!!

    Horrible switches, stay away

For the first month or so I loved this keyboard, but then the problems started to show. The Switches:The switches are not the greatest quality (a)nd don’t feel the way I wanted them to. When I opened the box and tried them out I thought that they’d sent me reds on accident. Each key feels slightly different, and some of them started to fail only about two months in. Both my “A” and my “(W)” key have become inconsistent. They just don’t register the keystroke (a)ll of the time, and because I use them a lot more for WASD games I wouldn’t be surprised if the other switches also start to go eventually. This can be annoying when typing (I’ve put parenthesis around the keys that I’ve had to retype to show the frequency.) and down right anger inducing when gaming. (especially intense movement reliant games like platformers, or games that require controlled peaks and strafes like rainbow six siege.)The rest of the board:Build quality seems fine (w)ith very little flex and the RGB is nice. The Bluetooth mode is great for typing but the latency can be a problem for gaming. I wished the connection wasn’t mini usb because that connector always gets loose (w)ith lots of unplugs and re plugs, but I haven’t noticed any problems ((w))ith it so far. Main other gripe is with the stabilizers. They’re so mushy that I’ve checked multiple times to make sure I didn’t put o rings on and forget about them. Conclusion: I think I’m going to swap out the switches because everything else about the board is good, but inconsistent keys is a deal breaker. If the s(w)itches has failed in warranty I would have returned it. I may have gotten a lemon, but I’m sure as heck not going to be buying from this company again.Updated: No(w) the (w) key is just getting a(w)ful. Gaming is a horrible experience thanks to the fact that i can only walk for((((w))))ard about a third of the time or less. It’s officially not working more often than it (((w)))orks.P.S. (the multiple parenthesis mean i had to hit it that many times)

Great 60% keyboard for the price!

The keyboard is excellent, you may face some problems with size if you are used to the typical large keyboards, make sure to read the manual very well and learn more about the shortcuts, especially for Arrows, PageUp and PageDown.Brown switches sounds so quiet for me to be honest, i have been gaming on clicky blue switches for the past two years, but no problem with that, as long as they responsive and good quality. You can choose between 19 color combinations for the keyboard, software is a bit tricky to download from the website, it is in chinese, but you can do a lot with it, and cutomize colors the way you want.I am not using the original keycaps, i changed them to HyperX double shot PBT keycaps, they look amazing on this keyboard and fit very well, you might face some issues in sound for the Space key.Edited: after one of use and moving to the bluetooth mode, you’ll face some issues in the connectivity and keyboard loses control out of no where, and one more thing, the manual and instructions book that comes with the keyboard is kinda unclear for the charging instructions, POOR english is used.Edit 2: I will go for 1 star rating, very bad choice for the keyboard, am losing bluetooth connectivity and control while gaming.

Budget Mech KB That Performs Just As Good!

This is definitely one of the top 3 budget keyboards I’d definitely recommend especially if you’re looking for a small or minimal 60% look or simply don’t need the functionality of the function row or numpad. When purchasing make sure you know what kind of switches you want because you have the option of linear reds, tactile browns, or clicky blues. I went with browns since I’ve used reds before, but felt a little too light for me to the touch. I included 2 pictures with different keycaps. The first pic has some HyperX pudding keycaps, and the second pic are the keycaps it comes with along with a 10 CMYK keycap set, similar to what comes with the Anne Pro 2 60% keyboards. This is definitely worth it. I only wish that it came with at least Outemus or Gaterons instead of their proprietary RK switches, but if you want you can purchase the ones you want, as long as it’s compatible with the pcb, and do some soldering. I also did lube the stabilizers, as recommended by some, to negate the ping-y sound that may reverberate when pushing on the keys that have stabilizers (shift, enter, and especially spacebar). I used dielectric grease that I purchase at a local autozone (you can also find it at home depot, or any hardware or auto store), that only cost me $1 during a sale, but only normally $5 or less. Do this and you’ll have an amazing 60% mechanical keyboard. The RGB’s aren’t too dim and actually brighter than the ones I had on a previous Tecware Phantom 87 TKL. I love the led patterns on this a lot, but you can also turn them off if you want to. The wireless and bluetooth functionality on this keyboard is also very easy to use. Make sure you read the manual! It’ll have the commands/inputs you need if your keyboard does not automatically pair to the device you want. You can pair it up to 3 devices such as your Pc, Ipad, and/or Iphone or anything with bluetooth functionality. I usually use this wired since it’s specifically for gaming, but I can see this being of use as a portable wireless keyboard on the go since it is only a 60%. I’ve only found one issue that might of been on my end, and that was when I tried using a cheapo usb that had leds on this versus the one it came with, or one of decent quality. The usb I tried using was mostly for aesthetics since it blinked blue/red leds, but was also just cheap and gimmicky. Other than that I have had know issues, and I’ve own this for a few months now. If anything changes I will update this review.

Pretty nice for the price, love that you can pair with multiple devices.

This is a pretty nice keyboard for the price, blue switch mechanical as promised, RGB in every key, it comes pre-programmed with around 20 or so effects, but no software to add your own. These effects can each be sped up or slowed down. It is very bright and it stands out. The layout is not standard and is cramped but does have dedicated arrow keys in lower right, which is good for gaming. Favorite feature is Bluetooth pairing with multiple devices, as well as a battery so it’s portable. I have gamed with it over Bluetooth with GTA V and was able to play it fine. Only downside is the manual is a bit confusing to learn all the key combos at first glance but I figured it out.

Awesome product! Greatest item I’ve ever had!

Great Seller and fast delivery. Honestly, this RK61 is a incredible wireless compact mechanical keyboard. Brown switch is good for office and home using.I would like to give everyone a tip. If you want to use arrow keys, you only need to press Fn+shift at the same time and then only press any arrow keys, you would find the arrow keys can work. Remember, you don’t need to press Fn+ shift+up key at the same time. Pressing Fn+shift means open this RK61 keyboard between first function and second funtion. If you want to type / ,do the same thing, you just need to press Fn+shift at the same time, and then release Fn+shift, right now ,you can only press /, the / would appear. At this condition, you can press shift+/, the ? would appear.

Bad keyboard, stay away from it.

Update:Okay, just a few hours after giving below feedback, the backlight stopped working. Fn+\ to changing the backlight does not work anymore. Very disappointed about this product. Lowered the rating to 1 star.I have to admit that this product is kinda fancy in the sense that there are a lot backlight options. But I got stuck in the very beginning when trying to pair it with my Mac. I pressed Fn and P to pair but the keyboard didn’t flash 🙁 . Eventually, I succeeded in pairing with my Mac by pressing down Fn and Q, which is, of course, not on the instruction sheet. A lot of times, the delete button doesn’t respond unless I press it really really hard, like almost smashing it. The UP button is sticky. Overall, I wouldn’t say this is a good keyboard, but just OK for those who likes fancy backlight. It could be me getting a defect one though, but anyway, I don’t recommend this keyboard and am going to return it.

Happy With My First 60% Keyboard (UPDATED: MUST READ))

Edit 01/29/20: There’s something wrong with this board. My first one had this weird issues where some keys would continually register. For example, if I pressed the “A” key once, the keyboard would think I was holding the key down and input an infinite number of “A” keystrokes. I had a replacement board set and it happened again. It doesn’t happen often, I usually just unplug the keyboard and plug it back in. This happened on the original and the replacement, with different USB C cables, and on different computers. I love the keyboard, but this is an annoyance for sureOverall, I’m happy. I went from a TKL Outemu Red switch gaming keyboard to this 60% (not sure if Kailh or Outemu) Brown switch keyboard. So far, it’s great. The lighting effects are plentiful an awesome. I swapped in the HyperX White Pudding keycaps and the RGB looks even better now. The switches feel pretty good for browns and the stabilizers are totally fine, despite some of the other reviews.I plan to use this in wired mode for gaming. However, I tested out bluetooth just for daily use (such as web browsing), and it works flawlessly. I’m very happy with this keyboard.
