I would rate this 5 stars minus one flaw, imho

Overall, this is a great looking gaming mouse. It has all the bells and whistles and also the weight isn’t that much bothersome. HOWEVER, the only gripe I have with this mouse is the fact that the coating on this mouse does not have any grip at all. AT LEAST when you start using it. Although as with time while using the mouse, your hands start to warm up and the grip starts to become prominent.I was hoping to using this mouse more and more as it is wireless, has a good battery life, and also very ergonomic. I look for ergo peripherals and this fit the bill. The clicks on both mouse1 and mouse2 are so clicky you probably won’t go with any other mouse that isn’t mechanical. I love this mouse, however, I was able to find something a little more my style and had to set this one aside.Don’t let ROCCAT fool you because they make some pretty good stuff. This just wasn’t for ME. You may find it otherwise good for you.

    Nearly Perfect for me

I bought this thinking I was getting as close as I could to a wireless KPOE, but this is different in a lot of ways.Obviously the shape is different. It’s more ambi than ergo, but still right-hand ergo. The texture is slick at first, but perfect imo after it “warms up.” The clicks are crispy and not too loud, nothing to complain about for sure. The scroll wheel is godly. Very defined steps but still quiet. The side buttons are too soft for me. It’s really easy to accidentally trigger them, but that could be a good thing depending on what you like.Tracking is perfect, can’t even tell it’s wireless at all. I am not a sensor snob, so I can’t give you too many details here. I don’t really play much FPS and I certainly am not competitive when I play. The mouse does what a mouse does just fine for me.Negatives: So the coating combined with the shape can make it difficult to pick up at times. Maybe it’s just my hands, but I have nearly dropped it before. The cable is stupid too. You don’t need to use it most of the time, only when you need to charge the mouse. They designed the port on the mouse to ONLY use the cable it comes with. I have 500 micro-USB cables that are sad they cannot be used in this mouse. Why did they make it so you can only use the one cable? What happens if the cable breaks? This is why the mouse lost a star for me. Also, no USB-C? come on.Overall, I really like the mouse. I still daily my KPOE, but some games I prefer the larger Kain. They are both plugged in and I alternate depending on what I want. Hope this helps if you even read this far!

    Good, but not for me

I bought this mouse hoping it would be similar to the Kone Pure. While it was, and it had the bonus wireless feature which I was really excited for, I personally didn’t stick with it. The mouse is a tad bit bigger than the Kone, and the area where the palm rests on the mouse feels a lot bigger and for me that just made it weird for me, and it just didn’t feel right. The bluetooth connect also was not very good with the distance being maybe a foot or 2 away from the receiver the mouse sometimes stuttered when moving it, so I had to adjust it to be closer then it was fine. Once that was fixed it felt great in game, but the shape was what made me not like it. I am just too used to the Kone which I have used for 5 plus years now

Overall good mouse, but has scroll wheel rattle and loose rmb

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.

Overall I like this mouse and will continue to use it for now.Pros:- Comfortable to use, fits my hand like a glove- Good for palm and claw grips- Battery life is good enough- Sensor is good, very responsive, just as fast as wired mice- Scroll wheel is one of the best- Clicks are crisp- Side buttons are easy to press with shorter thumbs- RGB lighting is bright and clean- At 105g, it’s not a brick but not too light either.Cons:- I have tried two Kain AIMO 202’s, both have scroll wheel rattle and loose right mouse buttons – need to work on that quality control!- I miss the tacky coating used on the kone pure. KAIN 202 performance coating is very slippery when first using it, takes time to build up a good grip, I’d rather have a good grip from the getgo- Wish it had some built in rubber side grips like the Logitech G403- Swarm software signal strength keeps switching back and forth between good-excellent when the dongle is inches away.- Battery life indicator in Swarm software only shows in increments of 20%- Have to click a button to wake up the mouse, should be able to just move it to wake- The price dropped $15 a few days after I purchased mine, feelsbadman

Great mouse… Grip isn’t there though.

Edit: Used it for some time now and it’s starting to show clear signs of use. The bottom of the mouse produces this weird black rubber stuff on my aluminum mouse pad. I expected at least 1 full year w/ this mouse… But doesn’t have the quality for that. It’s a 2-3 star product.Good purchase overall.I came from the G502 (Logitech) and to be fair, that mouse is extremely difficult to defeat in quality. However, I found this (Roccat) mouse to have good offerings itself. First, it’s cheaper than the wireless 502 by $50. That’s a pretty big jump between mouses. Second, the mouse size is proper and design is minimalist and clean. It is very light though, which is different from what I’m used to (weighted mouses). The only one thing I do not like is the darn grip. It’s smoothed out all around… I’m used to the G502 and Steelseries rubber grub by your thumb area, so you don’t slip while using the micro buttons on the mouse. But overall, very good mouse and happy with the purchase.

A worthy competitor to wireless gaming mouse category

Roccat has been in gaming peripheral business for quite sometime now, while it is not as popular as industry leaders such as logitech, razer or corsair, they are a respectable company which have always tried to bring in unique products to the market.Kain AIMO 200 is no exception and it builds upon the tried and tested design and performance of their wired sibling Kain 120. Here are the things which I like and some which truly standout1) Very nice minimal design2) Light weight and decent ergonomics3) Great top class sensor and wireless performance4) Good build quality and oil resistant coating5) Nice tactile clicky buttons with good actuation experience6) Comes with an dongle hub which can be used as a dongle extension with the included micro usb cable – an excellent way to avoid electronic interference or possibility of lower wireless signal7) Roccat swarm software has plenty of interesting features and consumes less memory and computer resources than Logitech GHUB software8) Excellent battery life – (average of 10 days – 3-4 hrs usage per day with RGB and power saving feature)There is no doubt that alot things Roccat have done are good and deserves praise but there are a few things which I personally feel could have been done better:1) No grips on the mouse – there is a bit of a muscle memory training ahead for those who are not used to playing without some sort of thumb or palm grip textured designs on the mouse. I often found the mouse slipping off my dry hand while gaming.2) Not the best mouse to travel around – does not have a compartment in the mouse to carry dongle3) Battery life percentages displayed on the Roccat Swarm software are extremely imprecise – decrements and increments in 20% values onlyApart from these 3 things out of which the only concern most people may have is regarding the grip I believe. The other 2 are mostly nitpicks

    Aweful connectivity, do not buy.

I have been using this product for a couple weeks now. It looks nice, the switches feel good, it’s got a nice matte finish, the battery life is decent. Despite all those things I couldn’t recommend it to anyone. There are frequent connectivity issues (yes, even while using the extension adapter). This is a huge deal breaker for a wireless mouse, especially when the marketing incenuates that it is for gaming. This product is definitely not worth the money. For perspective, I used the cheapest wireless mouse that logitech sells for years. Almost everything about the logitech mouse was inferior, but I never had such aweful connection issues as I had with this mouse. I bought the roccat aimo for near 60 USD. The logitech mouse cost about 10 USD when I purchased it years ago… your move Roccat.Edit: After trying everything I could think of I discovered that it was the extender device that was causing the serious connection interruption issues. I will be adjusting my review from 2 stars to 4. If it were not for the headache of dealing with this I would rate it 5.

    Very Nice!

I replace a Logitech G502 wired mouse with the Kain 200 mouse. I have the Kain mouse paired with the Roccat Vulcan 120 Aimo Keyboard. This is a great combination due to one software instead of two and the lighting for both the keyboard and mouse is synced. On the other hand, if you don’t want the lighting synced , you could make the lighting independent to each other. The build quality is good and the battery is lasting many hours before I charge it.

    Decent Value

Got the 202 version for little under 60. I like the shape, easy to hold and to palm. The main clicks are great. The side buttons are decent. Scrolling up and down is good, but the wheel-click is clunky. The battery life seems adequate. The charge cable being propriety was ok, but it requires finagling effort to unplug.Software for programmable buttons, and adjustable lift off distance. Definitely premium stuff, in software and hardware.

    Latency and battery life

It’s a really good mouse. My only problems with it are that it’s just a little slower than a wired mouse latency wise, but you will have to expect that from a full wireless mouse. It’s not the best wireless mouse I have tested. The Logitech g903 lightspeed is much better for gaming but when compared to the price of this one verulsus the performance I can honestly say this mouse is better in that aspect. Kinda disappointed cause I bought the mouse on sale for 65$ but then it priced dropped again a few days later to 40$! But hey that’s the market… Anyways keep a lookout for the sales on this mouse cause it goes on sale quite alot. Gaming wise, like I said it was a bit sluggish, as in, you can notice the slight delay in movements if your an avid gamer in games like CSGO and call of duty, but if you play games like BFV you can’t really notice since the game itself is already a little sluggish at times. Batterylife is phenomenal last much longer than I expected but the longest I’ve games on it is 8hr but I still didn’t have to charge it until around 3 days later.
