Great pre-built gaming laptop for the latest videogames that’s less than 1K!

TLDR: After 6 months of ownership (July 2019 to Jan 2020), I can say this was totally worth ~1K for someone who wants a PC that is ready to go out of the box to play the latest games (runs well playing COD Black Ops 4, Project Cars 2, Darksiders 3, Apex Legends, PUBG).Had this machine for 6 months, given I had to work, I used the PC 3-5 times per week. When powered off, I turn it on and I am logged into the Windows start screen in less than 30 seconds. It is fast. Also, it seems to be quite durable. Meaning I did not experience blue screens or other system failures. The PC came installed with a handful of benchmarking software which is helpful but I only tinkered with them a little to confirm my PC’s specs. This machine is indeed a gaming rig with a Nvidia RTX 2060, 16 gb RAM, Ryzen 7 – 1700. I knew it came with only a 512 SSD. I personally added in a 2TB mechanical hard drive (~50 bucks), keeping the SSD attached to run the OS (as recommended by the interwebs). As a newbie to computer building, it took me maybe 2 hours for the whole process, from figuring out how to thread the cables and where to slot the hard drive to booting it up to make sure the hard drive is recognized. FYI this rig is very cramped. It was a nerve-wracking process to cram the cables back into the case after installing the 2TB hard drive. Still, totally worth it, as now I loaded a large library of games to play from without having to wait.Nevertheless, I bought this rig with the intention of playing the latest generation of pc games, like Darksiders 3, COD black ops 4, Project Cars 2. I can easily run these games at max settings, at 1080p. Sometimes, when turning the camera quickly, there is a bit of perceptible fps drop so I actually play on high settings for decent-enough graphics and playable performance.Hope this helps. It was worth my 1000 IMO. I know it will be worth yours.

The sky tech legacy many gaming computer is just about perfect

I needed to replace an Alienware area 51 gaming computer it was about eight years old. After much searching and you investigation I determine the sky tech legacy mini gaming computer would be perfect for me. It was $1099.99 when I purchased it.The unit I purchased came with a Ryzen 7 2700 8 core 3.2 GHz CPU. An Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 super 8 GB video card made by Zotac, a 500 GB SSD and surprisingly it came with 16 GB of DDR 4 32000 ram as opposed to the 2400 advertised. The only issue I had was the ram was not properly set up in the bios and I had to set it to run at 3200 which was easy. Also noted it came with a upgraded gigabyte power supply the modular unit B700H as opposed to the 600 W advertised.Needless to say I am delighted with this purchase after unpacking setting it up and turning it on this thing screams. Fans and lighting are adjustable it has a lighted keyboard you can control and change colors on all the above. It’s actually much better than I expected. In the 1990s I build a lot of computers for my friends so it’s been a while and I’m not up to speed but there’s no way after looking and paying for this unit and I would consider building it for parts. The only change I’m making now is adding a second Drive for more space.

    Black Friday

The computer was late because of order volumes on Black Friday, also Amazon does not realize the amount of time and testing they do before they let the computer out the door.It is of note there was no DVI cable on the motherboard or the graphics card. I had hoped there would be. It should also be pointed out that the assistance I got when I called there number about where my order was. Had been handled pretty well. They told me that, they take about 10 days on each build even if they have more then one going at a time testing and such for stability. So it often takes 10 to 12 business days to ship the computer. There was a lose black plastic piece and a screw in my case but other then that all is good. I would add that my cooling fan led does not seem to sink with the others. Not sure why not going to poke around to find out on a new computer. The game I tested it on the most so far is diablo 3. It loads area to area with almost no delay, and tile sets like the end of game set don’t even make my this computer build blink. The one downside I had was failures on the part of the UPS delivery man, who did not do more to check or get my attention for the delivery. It took two calls with my explaining my disability preventing pickup and that I need them to try and properly execute the job they where paid for. I also got a fail delivery paper on the door that dis not say anything about a signature required which stressed me even more about the incompetence of the delivery driver.I suffer from general anxiety and depression as well as being on the autism spectrum. Which is why I can’t drive, I let them know I had gone restless more then once that week waiting for the computer. And that their man did not bother to try the doorbell. Which insures that if someone is in a back room it is heard were light knocking could be missed. I even informed them that because of my issues I often drowned out other sounds with headphones. So not having attempted all manner of contacted and not even considering dropping at the office of the apartment. The driver failed on so many points its not even fun. For a package worth over 1k it sure seemed like the driver did not even try.But the company responded well in general, even if they had been very backed up.

    Great gaming system.

This is hands down the fastest and best computer I’ve ever owned. Moved up from a 3 year old Asus laptop that was pretty skookem but this is a quantum leap forward. Paired it with an AOC 32 inch curved monitor and I can play any game at max settings and still run at over 100 fps….. need to buy some speakers but my usb headset works great for now. Took maybe 5 to 10 minutes to setup and run my first steam games. It downloaded and updated steam in under a minute. Just remember there is no CD/DVD drive so everything is downloaded but the Wi-Fi is fast the hard drive is blazing and it fits perfectly on my desk. Best gaming computer I’ve ever owned bar none and I’ve had some great gaming laptops….If you are a gamer on a medium size budget, this is the rig you’ve been looking for…
