    Wow! I am blown away!

For a headset under $100 I couldn’t believe what I heard out of this little guy! The sound is beautiful for all genres a little bass heavy in music unless you like that kind of thing. The ear pads are like memory foam and ridiculously comfortable. I was a big fan of the hyper X cloud II and I would say this is pretty much the same headset in most aspects but the air flow is better. The quality feels kind of cheap like a $20 headset but you can’t have it perfect. If this had a solid premium feeling construction it would be perfect! Definitely buy it.

Great headset for gaming and voice

This is a great headset. The microphone is amazing. It feels awesome. The foam is pretty good and does not hurt if you have glasses. There’s better foam out there for isolation purposes, but it’s good enough. The controls are simple, but it’s easy to adjust volume or turn on/off mute.My only pet peeves are on the cable. First, it uses a weird connector, so if you lose it, you’re in trouble. You need to change between two adapters to switch between usb and 3.5mm, which is kinda annoying if you use it on multiple platforms. The cable is also too long and since you can’t replace it with other regular usb or audio cable you need to live with it.I bought it on a sale and it was the better one in the market for that range up to 100 dollars. I recommend it!

Great headset but the headband stretches out fairly quickly

I love everything about this headset except for the headband.Sound: fantastic, plus being able to balance desktop sounds and Discord audio on the fly is tops.Function: great, muting is tactile and you always know when you’ve done it, mic position is always correct thanks to the flex mic, you can use them while charging, and there’s a manual connection option. Minor quibble here: the engravings on the base station are nearly impossible to see, easily fixed with a minute of liquid paper whiteout, pictured.Microphone: Clarity is really good for a headset mic, I only need to switch to the desktop mic when doing a recording, headset mic works great for chatting, phone calls, streaming, etc.Feel: This is where I drop a star. While the overall comfort is great, I wear this almost 12 hours a day and the headband stretched out after only 6 months requiring me to get a replacement from the SS website for $15. Also, the ear cups don’t have an obvious way to be removed/cleaned, and if you use these all day like I do they will get gross. All in all a good headset but I wish I didn’t have to spend $30 a year on “maintenance” via replacing the headband, so 4 stars.

Increased my quality of life immensely

    * This is for the Arctis 7 Wireless. Don’t know why these reviews are grouped in with the Arctis 1 (?)I took a chance on these off a recommendation from a friend.3 months into daily (5-15hr/day) use so far; Hands down best headset I’ve tried, period. My favorite features:- Ear cushions & ski goggle headband: Legit light as a cloud – Feels like I’m not wearing them.- Doesn’t pull out my hair when I take them off- Can use while charging- Balance chat (Discord, etc) and other audio (spotify, gaming, etc) from the dial: EASILY turn voices up or game audio down or vice versa when gaming gets intense.- Unisex + minimalist look. Go from gaming to a virtual meeting, EZ.- Clearest mic quality I’ve had – works for gaming, streaming, meetings, etc.- Flexible mic- On-ear mute button + Mic lights up red when muted, which I appreciate for a) indicating on a video call that I am muted, or b) confirming to myself that I am indeed muted before I wear my headset to the bathroom…- Lay flat or on a hookTLDR: Features I need + Features I didn’t know I needed that I need. A+ 100% 10/10 headset. No complaints.

Really good gaming headset but uncomfortable (PS4 edition)

This is my first gaming headset and it’s 100x times better than the cheap headset and earbuds I was using before. On top of that, the microphone is really good. When I used the headphones the first time, my friends immediately commented on the noticeably superior quality voice quality from my end. The sound quality is also good for gaming. Though I wouldn’t advise that this be your go to headphones for music or other activities, it definitely serves its purpose for gaming well. The bass is lacking a little bit which means that music will not be as enjoyable to listen to.In the box, the headphones come with a built in wired standard 3.5mm audio output jack. The detachable mic can also be attached to an open slot on the side of the microphone (can be seen in the picture). There is also another adapter wire which I don’t use so can’t comment on it.Lastly, the headphones are not super comfortable. If there’s one place where they can be knocked is the fact that the cushions are not very large so even for my larger ears, the hard interior presses on the ears and can cause discomfort. If you’re wearing the headset for a while (an hour or more), you will start to feel pressure on your ears which can cause slight pain. I was a little disappointed with this due to the otherwise solid quality for the price.

Solid wireless headset — Just make sure the mic is plugged into the right spot!

After receiving this headset, I was convinced that there was a problem. I couldn’t get it to turn on. I spent a couple days charging it (tried different chargers . . . different cables), and the LED would pulse green for awhile and then go off. Try as I might, I couldn’t get them to turn on–I’d hold the power button down for two seconds, five seconds, 30 seconds. Nothing would happen: no light, no tone, no nothing. I then repacked them and was going to reach out to Amazon for a return, but then I thought I’d try a few online searches (Steel Series website was worthless, FYI).As it turned out MANY people had the same problem that I did, and there was a solution: make sure you have the microphone plugged into the little recessed microphone outlet–NOT the identical non-recessed outlet (see attached image). The non-recessed is for an AUX input. If the microphone is plugged in there (which mine was), the headset WILL NOT TURN ON. Based upon the number of posts I found about this online, I think it’s extremely common, though I still felt like a dunce for thinking my headset was defective.Other than that (self-imposed) annoyance, I really like this headset. Sound is great, and they’re extremely comfortable.

The most comfortable headset I’ve ever worn!!!

This is THE most comfortable headset that I’ve ever worn, and I’ve worn a lot. We’re talking all the way from the crappy old-school Xbox headsets up to Astros, HyperX, and others. I did a lot of research before taking the plunge and buying these. I work on the computer all day and then frequently game after that, so I wear a headset for a long time. These literally feel amazing from the time I put them on to the time I take them off. The HyperX I used to wear gave me a horrible headache after an hour. The earpieces themselves are so soft and comfortable, not that crappy fake leather whatever that stuff is. I have to do a lot of Zoom meetings and can easily slide the mouthpiece back and these look pretty slick and professional. The volume on the earpiece is amazing, but can be annoying if you bump it on accident. Once you get used to it, it’s nice. The fact that the tip of the mouthpiece turns red when you’re muted is a bonus for all the self-conscious/anxious people out there.Pros:-Ski-band is so comfortable!-Retractable mouthpiece-Soft cups on earpiece-Volume controls on earpieces (this is a double-edged sword)-Audio quality is amazingCons:-Volume controls on earpiecesSeriously, if you’re on the fence get these!

Poor Design – Terrible Customer Service/Warranty

My son had these for 3 months and the plastic that connects the ear piece broke rendering them useless. Manufacturer said warranty only covers manufacturer defects, which this was not.Terrible design using plastic parts that will not last. Definitely NOT worth the money paid for this item.
