Mechs haven’t been this fun since Mechassualt 2: Lone wolf

A great game. The single player campaign is fun and I love the way the boss battles are setup. You learn along the way offensive and defensive tactics that will definitely be helpful when you decide to go online and join the real fight. The speed of the game takes getting use to which makes it different from call of duty and other first person shooters in comparison. You’ll be running along walls and getting head shots at the same time. Very rewarding.

A Great Relationship Between Man and Machine

The first entry in this franchise was skipped due to a lack of single player campaign but they made up for that in this second visit into the Titan universe. Titanfall 2 was able to keep me riveted in my seat even if it was for a short amount of time.Story – You take control of a forgettable character who is given authorization to handle a Titan robot due to extreme circumstances. From then on, this games becomes more of a quest to survival rather than building a legacy which both due occur as the story progresses. Survival turns into purpose when this pair resumes a mission previously designated to an ally and it just keeps getting bigger. The most impressive aspect about the story is the relationship between the man and the titan as they traverse diverse areas with several gimmicks in each one. In one level, you’re dealing with time rifts while another deals with aerial approaches. Needless to say, the levels always offer something fresh and the titan provides some unexpected humor along with some emotional attachment to its character.Graphics – They’re as good as any other game of its time. Animations are smooth and the environments are vibrant with color. I wish there was more diversity in enemy AI because the only difference is on whether you’re shooting humans or robots along with their throwable weapons. There’s creatures in some levels but that’s about it.Gameplay – The gameplay has two versions of play depending on who you are controlling. The human pilot deals with more close encounters and is the typical shoot em up while the Titan controls like a true monstrosity and deals with the bigger foes. As stated earlier, each level has its own gimmick and lends itself to be really unique from its previous levels which keeps the gameplay fresh. Titanfall also uses a wall running mechanic that is assisted with jets to hold some cool maneuvers as you run on walls and shoot at your enemies from every direction. The one glitch that came up when wall running was that my player would throw grenades at random times when wall-running. I changed controllers to check if it was a malfunction but it kept doing this.Overall, the game provided some great moments while also leaving room for a sequel. The relationship between man and machine is often characterized in the media but this one made it feel more like the Iron Giant rather than Terminator. I greatly enjoyed its single story campaign and can not wait for the next one.

One of my favorite FPS ever

Excellent multiplayer FPS. It’s unfortunate EA launched the game between Battlefield One and COD Infinite Warfare. Those games are sales juggernauts, but the last two COD games (Infinite Warfare and Black Ops 3) have been massive disappointments in my opinion. I think what makes TF2 stand out the most to me is that you can play how you want to play. It’s not hampered by the traditional 3-lane maps that are the core of most COD games, but the maps also aren’t too open with no place to take cover. If you like to run-and-gun, you can, especially with the parkour-inspired mechanics and grappling hook. If you like to pick off enemies from a distance, you’ll find many building windows and roofs to perch from. You can actually snipe – not the bogus quick-scoping from COD. But countering a sniper or otherwise long-range gunner is also easily achievable – it just may take a minute to reach them. The different titans present different challenges, and it’s beneficial to learn how to use (and counter) all of them for handling close quarters and long-range combat effectively. I’ve been playing almost daily since release. My complaint – it’s kept me from playing other games I also enjoy. Buy it.

    GREAT CAMPAIGN

I got this the first day it came out. Some changes getting used to compared to the first one on the multiplayer. I think the TTF1 is better because you can customize your Titans extensively. On TTF2, you are stuck with the weapons for that Titan and basically that’s your weapon. You can change weaponized abilities of the Titan though.Anyway, when COD-IW came out, this game was put aside. Was playing COD extensively since my friends were too. However, we were playing the Modern Warfare game instead of IW. Now I freakin’ played that game for a year when it first came out and I’m stuck playing it again because my friends are so hooked into it.One time, I got so bored with COD that I decided to do the TTF2 single player/campaign. OMFG……this single player is SOOOOOO GOOD! It’s one of the best SPs I played and got hooked to it that I wanted to finish it in one sitting (but I have a job). If you have ever played METAL GEAR, it had the same feel on some aspects. Makes you really think and not just a one dimensional campaign. That alone is really worth my money I spent to get this game. Now, while my friends are playing COD-MW, I play TTF2 multi player. I’m getting the hang of the game play now and I’m beginning to appreciate it even more. So yes, I left my friends behind! 🙂

Campaign might be short but it’s one heckuva rush!!

I’ll start with 2 disclaimers. First, I’ve never played the first Titanfall. Second, I’ve yet to tap into the multi-player. This review is solely based on the short, but incredibly exhilarating, single-player campaign. In a nutshell, if you enjoyed the wonderfully fast-paced, ridiculously fluid adrenaline rush of the Doom reboot, you’ll most certainly enjoy this roughly 6-hour thrill ride. Respawn throws everything at you but the kitchen sink. This game masterfully meshes frenetic combat and truly inspired platforming. On more than one occasion, I found myself thinking, “how did they manage to implement (insert your choice of game mechanic) so well there?” Without saying much to avoid spoilers, there is one level in particular that felt like what Quantum Break should’ve been.I will avoid further specifics because every FPS fan deserves to experience this gem without prior knowledge. Do yourself a favor and give this one a shot. EA made the unfortunate decision to sandwich this between Battlefield and COD. It’s a shame because this masterpiece deserves much more love. I freely admit the campaign is short. However, it’s wonderfully paced. Combine that with what I hear is an exciting MP experience, and it’s a worthy edition to any game collection. I picked this up on sale for $35 through this site. The reduced price tag certainly makes the short campaign easier to accept. I’m sure similar deals will be available during Black Friday. Scoop it up. You won’t be disappointed.

    Great game

I rented the first Titanfall game & enjoyed it a lot, so I definitely wanted to buy this one. I beat the campaign on master difficulty & I consider myself to be a casual gamer & this is the second game I’ve done on the hardest difficulty from the start, so if I can do it then anybody can do it. It had some tough moments & the toughest moment for me was the Viper boss & I definitely died more times as a pilot than I did as a Titan, the good news is that you can change the difficulty anytime, I didn’t & it was still a lot of fun, I will definitely go back & play it again.

So much potential, but ruined with impossibly difficult wall running

I really like the shooting and combat, but the wall running is overly difficult and spoils the fun. The mech is fun to pilot and there is a large selection of weapons. Why did they have to put in this idiotic wall running mess? I gave up on the factory level. I finally got to what I think is the end of the level and have to wall run/jump up to the ceiling for a boss showdown, I think. Anyway, I can’t get up there. Sick and tired of my character dying and having to try again. Games are supposed to be fun, not irritating. There are so many other, more fun games to play that I don’t need this crap.

    GREAT Franchise

I was a major fan of the first Titanfall a few years back and was really pumped to finally get around to picking up the sequel – esp at such a cheap price (at $9.99 it’s a no brainer to pick up). How this game is not a major franchise like CoD, MoH, Halo is beyond me. The game is insanely fun and is a AAA title, without a doubt with stellar production value. The controls and gameplay feel much more refined this time around and everything flows so fast and smooth. The graphics are top notch and it runs smoothly even in the chaotic open work battles. All those qualities aforementioned are great, but best of all – the game is just downright fun to play. The single player campaign, although short, is a lot of fun and was a nice addition that the first game missed. However, the multiplayer is where it is at. Matchmaking is a breeze and never takes long to get into the action. Servers are strong and steady and I have yet to be dropped from a game. Lots of different game modes to boot with lots of variety. The unlockables as you level might need a bit of work, as it does get a bit repetitive playing to unlock nothing but slight color hue changes on the same skin pattern for weapons, pilots, and mechs. All the very unique skins can only be acquired though micro-transactions, which I am not a fan of. Overwatch did it right with such great variety in player skins for each archtype, that you can unlock, or purchase if you so chose- would like to see something like that in a 3rd version.Overall, the game is a ton of fun to play and easy to get into. I’ve logged many an hour into it and still having a great time.

Finaly single player experience is included

I never played the original titanfall because I don’t do any online gaming but it seemed like it would be interesting. I was very happy to hear this game would have a single player campaign. I can honestly say it was a blast playing through it. I don’t mess with the multiplayer so I can’t comment on that aspect, but the single player mode was a lot of fun and had a great story. The graphics are very good for those who dwell on such issues. I prefer to focus on game play itself and this game delivers in that regard. The controls are very fluid and easy to pick up. Their were two or three times where the difficult ramps up significantly for a few moments, but other than that I highly recommend this to first person shooter fans, sci fi shooter fans, or people who like futuristic combat. It’s a shame it did not sell that well, but I suspect that was due to being released so closely to Battlefield 1 (also a great game) and Call Of Duty Infinite Warfare (have not played yet, not really interested to be honest). All in all a great game.

One of the funnest games you’ll ever play!

Well…at least it was for me.Rarely have I had a game that I just enjoyed so much. A game that I would truly look forward to each and every stage, and keep coming back to over-and-over again. With some of the most beautiful graphics and outstanding game play I’ve ever encountered. Story line is well-directed and keeps things very interesting while engaging the player with various puzzle-like obstacles to get through and around. Really a fun game to play and the character development is outstanding as well.I would highly recommend this game to most people. There are some moments with foul language, so I’d keep this one for the late teens on up.
