    solid all around system

This really hits the sweet spot in price and performance with the addition of the 1660 card. I’m not sure why these gaming rigs so often go shy on the SSD though, a 500 GB SSD is only around $35 more – why on earth go 120 GB or 240 GB?Anyway – with a solid i5, 8GB of 2400 RAM (not the fastest, but ok and easy to upgrade), 250 GB SSD, win 10 64-bit and the new 1660 6 GB nvidia card you really can’t go wrong for $750 bucks. I’d prefer cyber scrap the keyboard and mouse though and sell it barebones with a 500 GB SSD and try for a $730-ish price point and really knock some socks off OR go 500 GB SSD and 16 GB of ram and stick as close to $750 as possible just make it clear no keyboard or mouse is provided, but still – great 5 star deal imo

Four-and-a-half stars. Overall, a great gaming PC

I finally broke down and bought a gaming PC so I could play the deeper, graphics-heavy strategy games I enjoy so much, along with other titles that interest me. After much shopping around and comparing, this CyberPower PC fit the bill at a great price point for me.Setup was pretty painless with one exception: there was no way to know exactly what video outputs I would receive with whichever graphics card they installed on the computer. I had to wait for the PC to arrive to discover that it came with one (1) HDMI port and (3) DisplayPort connections. As I had no such cables or adapters I had to order them from Amazon and wait two days for them to arrive. I know, First World Problems, but it does kinda stink when you get a hot rod computer like this and you can’t set it up and get right into seeing what it can do. So I knock off half a star for this.A WORD OF CAUTION: Monitor cables are insanely expensive at most brick and mortar stores (e.g. fifty bucks) whereas here on Amazon they’re like eight bucks each. Also, I bought cables from Amazon, *not* adapters as I was told you lose some signal quality with an adapter.I installed a 1 TB SSD from my previous computer and that was not an easy task. It’s a tight fit in there and there was no extra power cable for a new drive (there is a spare data cable though). Luckily I was able to use the one out of my old computer. My last issue is that it came with only 8 GB of RAM on board. As many have already commented, this just doesn’t cut it. I took their advice and bought a separate 8 GB of RAM. I think it cost less than 30 bucks, so why doesn’t CyberPower just make it standard?Once up and running, this PC has been a dream. It plays all the titles I want seamlessly on the highest graphic settings. There have been no hiccups or issues at all with any of the PC’s functions. I thought the LED lights on the case were a superfluous feature for me, but now that I have it I really enjoy the effect (it comes with a remote [with no instructions] so you can change the LED settings a million different ways.)I would recommend this PC to anyone looking for a gaming desktop that will play pretty much any game out there and who doesn’t want to spend a couple thousand dollars for the privilege. This PC is a champ.

    Awesome

Just got this so I can’t comment yet on long term reliability but my initial reactions are that it exceeds my expectations. I got the i5, 240GB SSD and 1660 video card.Keyboard/mouse: Pretty good with customizable buttons and LED lights on the mouse. Probably not the best for everyone but very good quality if you don’t have another keyboard and mouse.Video card: Mine came with an MSI dual fan video card with one HDMI 2.0 and three display port outputs so more than enough for most people I would imagineRAM: A single stick of XPG Z1 DDR4 3000 MHz ram. Kinda sucks that they only sell these in two stick packs, so I won’t be able to pick up a cheap single stick to upgrade to 16GB. I guess I can just use another brand stick to add or something, but I haven’t found a reason to upgrade as of yet anywaysOverall look of the case is nice and it has a controller to change the LED light settings and colors. I set mine on orange and it looks nice. The system is not as quiet as my old Lenovo, but it is pretty quiet actually. Cable management is very nice and neat; you only see a few cables though the glass window. One important note; make sure you install the two wifi antennas in the accessory package. I was about to give a 3 star review when I saw how bad the wifi signal was until I realized that I’m stupid and there are two antennas to install on the motherboard. Works much better than my old wifi now; full bars in the basement and my router is upstairs. No intrusive weird bloatware on this system and everything started up and updated without any effort. Up and running in 10 minutes.I’m sure you could build something at around the same price point or even cheaper, but I purchased this system for $700 and it was no fuss, works out of box so it’s worth it to me. I can’t imagine you would come in much cheaper building from scratch if you wanted the mouse and keyboard and windows license. This system is quality parts and super fast so far. I haven’t found anything negative to say about it and hopefully it continues that way.

Better than an entry-level gaming rig!

With distance learning at the start of my son’s Junior year in HS, I felt he needed an upgrade from his sorry excuse of a computer, otherwise known as a Chromebook. Plus, he had commandeered my 2 year old rig during summer and I wasn’t having that. After some shopping around and comparisons, I came across this model. Not only was it affordable but the specs were fairly impressive. The only thing it was lacking was some additional RAM which I purchased separately. The product arrived earlier than expected and I was quite pleased with the packaging and easy set up. Heck, it looks nicer than mine! Powered it up, installed a couple of games and it even performs better than my rig!More than enough power for Google classrooms and Zoom meetings as well, so I’m quite pleased. Next time, I’ll have him build his from scratch and earn the right to be a true PC gamer =).

    Great Computer

I decided to make the move to PC gaming and sold my PS4 a few months ago. I’ve had a few months owning this tower and still can’t think of what else I could possibly ask of it. This computer does EVERYTHING. In fact, I don’t even know how they got it down to this price point. The processor is the newest one, in fact there were advertisements for it during E3, the 4 fans work great. And it has an SSD. And it supports VR. And it has 6 cores. This is worth FAR MORE than $750.You’re probably wondering what all it does, right? Well, don’t worry, I’ve tested it out. It’s as insane as it looks.✔ EMULATORS – No, seriously. PCSX2? It renders that in like a thousand frames. Dolphin? Easy money. Here’s how crazy this thing is: you can ACTUALLY emulate PS3 and even Switch games on it. I’ve tried. They actually WORK.✔ NEWEST GAMES – Effortlessly. Like, the emulators are more challenging and this computer runs those like butter. I remember playing RAGE 2 and Rainbow Six on this computer on max settings with no stutters. You want to play anything on ultra settings? You want this thing right here.✔ RESPECT – Anyone who knows what they’re talking about will tell you that this is top-of-the-line, not just for a pre-built, but in general. You got those nerdy ‘build it yourself bro’ PC friends? Show them this. I guarantee they’ll be as stumped as I am at how the price is this low.✔ CUSTOMIZABLE – Tinkering with this thing is super easy. It comes with a glass case in the left side and a couple of screws that are easy to take out. You just slide the glass case off, make sure the thing is turned off (duh) and you can get to replacing anything you want. The cable management is clean and it’s pretty easy to figure out.✔ DURABLE – Whoever designed this computer was smart. Everything is intuitive. You worried about your hand bumping into the tower? Don’t be. They’ve got a thick covering that wraps around this thing like a shield and absorbs impact. And if it bumps into the glass? Doesn’t matter, because the motherboard and peripherals are installed behind the thick covering, meaning that the most important parts are always protected. There isn’t enough positive stuff I can say about this computer. I downloaded every emulator out there and relived my entire childhood through it. Every game feels super immersive and everything you do on here feels like an adventure. I highly, highly recommend this computer if you can afford it. It’s top-of-the-line. Seriously.Read more

    Great Starter PC

This review is for the (now) $750 i5, GTX 1060, 8GB DDR4, 240 GB SSD, 1TB HDD model.First I would like to say that this is a great deal for a basic/starter gaming PC. If you want to get into PC gaming but don’t know how to build one, or are just too busy to take on the task yourself, then this is the machine for you. Sure, it’s not the absolute best of the best, but for $750 it is definitely a worthwhile starter build. The RAM is good, the motherboard, though it is Cyberpower’s own brand, is respectable. The SSD and HDD are both nice quality WD drives. The graphics card in mine is an MSI GTX 1060, not some no-name brand so that was a nice surprise. The fans work great and the system stays cool even after a good long gaming session. I play mainly DBD, so I didn’t need a beast of a machine, but it runs smooth as silk on ultra settings, giving me a constant 80+ FPS.Really, the only complaint I have about the system components is it only having 8GB or RAM. With the mid-range Ballistix RAM they used, they could have thrown in a full 16GB at minimal extra cost to them. The other nit-picky issues I have are purely cosmetic. First, I wish the keyboard was backlit. I mean, the logo lights up on it, why can’t we have nicely lit keys too? Second, the side panel is acrylic. I realize the product description doesn’t specify tempered glass or acrylic, but the box is covered with warning labels that say “Fragile Tempered Glass” so I was disappointed when I popped them off to find them to be plastic. They look nice though.Al in all, this is a great build for someone jst starting out. Though it runs smooth as silk as is, it is certainly future-ready as well. It has plenty of space and compatible components that will make it easy to upgrade for years to come. If you’re on the fence about this PC, don’t be. It is a great way to open the door to PC gaming.

    Solid budget machine

I’ve had this about 3 weeks now and have been very satisfied with the experience. My last computer was a boutique system that I managed to upgrade enough to last 7 years. I wanted something newer that wasn’t going to break the bank as I wasn’t chasing frames per second but rather looking for a good rig for 1080 gaming. I watched this system for awhile and read a lot of reviews both on Amazon and elsewhere before deciding to go with it.The system was well-packaged. The case was in a plastic foam cage, and inside the case was the standard expanding foam packet. Everything was held in place, and a quick check of the connections revealed that nothing had come loose. It booted up quickly, and after about 30 minutes for standard setup/updates, I had Steam installed and a batch of games set to download to the regular drive (leaving the SSD for Windows). It came with a disc of drivers…but the system doesn’t have an optical drive, so I guess you can use it as a coaster? The lights can be turned off/up/down/strobe/fade across multiple colors as needed with the included remote. When the machine goes to sleep, the lights turn off.Pros:Cost, obviously. It’s a budget machine.Very quiet.Excellent cable management/open space in the case which will help with any future upgrades. No ad/bloatware installed.ConsThe audio connections are recessed on the back of the machine which meant for tricky arrangement of the 3 90-degree plugs for my speakers.Airflow may be a concern if you’re going to push the machine. Apart from the back of the case, there is only a small vent at the bottom of the front of the case. The one piece of hardware they appear to have skimped on is the power supply. It’s a no name, so therefore an unknown quantity in terms of long-term performance. So far, I haven’t had any issues with power after attaching a scanner, USB hub, usb headset, and external USB hard drive. It came with a keyboard and gaming mouse, though I did not have any use for them. I have a hardwired connection, so I didn’t bother attaching the WiFi antennas though I did confirm that it was able to pick up broadcasting networks.
