    Really enjoying this new headset

Just received it a few days ago, loving it so far. The pads for the ears are breathable and comfortable, which is great for when it’s warmer out so your ears don’t get as sweaty as they do with leather pads. The fact that the earmuff part rotates is great for when you are storing them, they take up less space, plus they seem to fit more comfortably since they can adjust more to your head. Sound quality seems really good and so far it seems to pick up my voice really well. The fact that the microphone boom is removable so you can just use them as regular headphones is pretty cool. Actually surprised that the price on these isn’t higher, they are of really good quality compared to some others of the same price range.

maybe a backup, but not a primary.

these headphones are pretty decent! i bought them as a gift for my friend who didn’t have headphones with a mic (headset). we play video games and use discord to communicate. i also stream on twitch, so it’s important that people can hear my teammates/guests properly, and i’m glad to say that these headphones work relatively well!the connection is easy and they’re essentially plug n play. they’re light and work wonderfully to conform to any head shape.here’s where i become rather cranky, but i’ll try to control myself: the microphone lacks a bit of the low end, but the mids are relatively nice. the only issue is that this headset’s mic picks up a LOT of breathiness if it exists: people in my chat were complaining that it sounded like my buddy was eating his microphone, when in fact he was just breathing normally but exhaling through his nose as he laughed at jokes and whatnot. i recommended that he keep the microphone either just above his nose, or at his jawline in order to reduce the chances that his mic picks up sounds that aren’t desirable. furthermore, the impedance of the mic on this headset is INSANE—i had to turn him up to 200% volume on discord and THEN add like 10dB of gain to my discord track inside OBS (i have separate tracks for discord, music, gameplay audio, etc). this was a huge problem for me as a customer because i know it doesn’t take that much from a company to make a mic*not* do whatever it was.however, he did seem to enjoy the way that the headphones sounded. i can’t say that id fully recommend these, but they would probably work best as a decent backup option if all else fails. i use Bose QC35II headphones and a Rode Procaster mic, and i’m so glad i went that route instead. but if i had to go back and do it over again with ONLY the option of buying a headset, i might up my budget to about $150 and go for Fnatic headset, or the HyperX Cloud Flight (shroud’s headset). the Fnatic is actually like $70 or so, but i would still highly recommend it over this one.for the casual gamer who doesn’t care so much about pristine audio quality in any capacity and just wants something to get the job done, this could be for you. otherwise, i would personally look elsewhere to fit my needs.

Premium feel, great surround. Not a great mic.

On my head, these feel very premium. Soft, thick, comfortable ear pads that feel great on my head. The headband is simple, but again very soft with a thick pad across the top. The headband is a little smaller than I’ve seen on other similar headsets, I had to extend it just over halfway to get it to fit on my head. Extending it out this far (because it’s curved) starts to increase the side pressure on your head, however because the ear cups are so soft and thick, you don’t actually feel this extra pressure, it just helps it stay on tight, even when moving your head around. The cups fit all the way around my ears, but just barely, and create a snug fit that helps to block out sound. This is probably one of the top two or three best feeling headsets I’ve ever tried on. 6 stars for feel.On the outside of the ear cup there is a volume knob, mute switch, USB-C port (sound in,) and a 3.5mm port (mic in). The cables it comes with are (see photos): a USB-C to USB-A cable for audio input from a computer. A USB-C to 3.5mm (4 pole) for audio in from phone, console, computer, etc. The microphone, which is just a basic 3.5mm mic on a flexible stick. Finally there is a 3.5mm 4 pole splitter to separate mic and headphone signals for use on a PC that doesn’t have a combined port. So really you have a cable for everything, and a way to use it with any device. There’s also a nice soft bag to keep the cables in that you’re not using, or for transporting the headset. The sound out of these is pretty amazing, the 7.1 simulated surround is really good, and the software is flexible enough to allow you to tweak it as needed. (You have to download the driver software from the eksa.net website.) In the software you can adjust the surround sound levels, which I did to reduce the volume of side and back sounds, because I found that in-game sounds were being exaggerated from those areas. These headphones helped me to hear game sounds that I had never heard before, and I was truly impressed with the clarity and the quality of the sound. (I was previously using a basic 2 channel headset, which certainly was not bad, but this is a step-up.)For music listening, DO NOT use the preset-music preference, as it includes an echo/reverb that really ruins music. I made my own custom equalizer setting that I felt worked best for my music, and in general the pre-set equalizers were pretty good. The “Environmental Effects” are an interesting selection, and seemed to do a pretty good processing job on the sound, though I’m not sure I would ever use them other than to play around. There is even a vocal-reducer effect if you want to make your own karaoke tracks. My one big complaint is the microphone which is not very good, makes my voice sound very distant and quiet. It’s weird because I’ve even used a different model of EKSA headphones where the mic was very good, so I’m not sure what went wrong with this one, but it’s borderline unusable. For many people this won’t be an issue if you use a standalone mic or don’t need one at all. I like these for the sound they give me, and I have other ways of making myself heard. The poor mic isn’t enough to make me not love this headset.EDIT: I tested out the mic again when I needed it for a work call. It ended up being not as terrible as I remember. The sound is still a little echoy and distant, but better than using a web-cam mic, and an improvement over what it was originally. I think it may have been bent at a bad angle the first time, crunching some of the wires.

A cheaper alternative to brands like Logitech and HyperX

If you are looking for a pair of cheap but quality headphones for gaming, this is it. For $40, I was surprised at the amount of accessories that came with the headphones, as well as the quality of the headphones themselves.Contents of the box:-Headphones-Microphone that had a USB C port on the end-USB C to USB A-USB C to 3.5mm Headphone Jack-Female 3.5mm Jack to Microphone and Headphone 3.5mm Headphone Jacks-Carrying Case/PouchThere was an abundance of accessories for this price point. Even with my old Logitech headphones, I only got the headphones and a audio/microphone splitter. EKSA has virtually every corner covered here, whether you want to use it with your computer, with your Playstation or Xbox, or even with your phone. And the inclusion of the carrying case is the cherry on top. If I wanted to use this while traveling or going on road trips or something like that, the carrying case is perfect for the headphones + cables. All the accessories that I got are pictured above.Let’s talk about the sound quality. I heard nothing different from my Logitech headphones. These offer clean and nice sound, when talking to friends, listening to music, or listening to dialogue/music in a game. I didn’t hear any popping or drastic sound decreasing or increasing, but this might change in the future. I don’t anticipate it though, since the USB C ports seem to offer sturdy and quality fits. The microphone is pretty good as well. At times, my friends have reported that I sounded distant, but if I place the microphone just above my nose, my voice becomes clear and I don’t have too much trouble talking. If a high quality microphone is your #1 factor in a gaming headset, don’t pick this one up, but for general gaming use (which is what I assume most people would use this for, instead of something like podcasts or music production) the microphone is fine for what it does and achieves.Overall, for $40 I want to reiterate how good these headphones are. EKSA makes sure you are covered for every situation, regardless of what platform you are on. They offer a nice carrying pouch for when you want to travel, or just when you want to store it someplace. The sound quality and microphone are good for gaming and general use purposes, but just want to reiterate that the microphone does tend to get a little bit wonky at times, but nothing super bad to complain about. I would highly recommend picking these headphones up.

    Extremely lightweight.

I got these in hopes of replacing my heavier MPOW headset for streaming/PC gaming. First, the bad. Unfortunately These headphones don’t appear to be nearly as loud as my other pair, they aren’t quiet by any means, just noticeably more quiet. Maybe they weren’t plugged in properly, but I doubt that’s the case. Though the MPOW’s could also be considered far too loud. These would be fine if you’re just listening to music or enjoying a game, but I need them loud enough to focus on many things at once when streaming. The good though, These headphones are FEATHERLIGHT! I hardly even notice they’re on my head and they don’t make my ears hot like a lot of over ear sets do. So they’re extremely comfortable.I’m not sure how good or bad the mic is because I use my own microphone, but I don’t think mics should ever be a selling point for headsets; comfort and sound quality should. And these sound good and are very comfortable.

Headphones that give you a lot of options for the money.

I really like these headphones. Both my wife and I have tried them and they are comfortable for both of us. This is my 3rd pair of EKSA headphones all different models one for myself, my wife and daughter as we play games online as well as do the social distancing video chats with friends quite regularly. Of all of the models that I have, this pair give you the most options. You can use them as either USB headphones or with the headphone jack. This gives a lot of flexibility. When you use the USB option the headphones light up red on the ear cups. This is a nice touch and not too extravagant if you don’t want to draw a lot of attention. Fit and finish feels top notch. I can’t speak to longevity as we just got them recently but initial reaction is very good.I feel like you get a lot of bang for your buck with these headphones and will recommend them to any of my friends or family looking for new headphones.

    dude. like really. DUDE.

Having seen their little video on youtube, i can honestly say that they TOTALLY understated the sheer WEIGHT of these things, or rather the lack thereof. I couldn’t believe how light there were.another cool thing about the headphones is that they plug right into the PC via usb-c so it’s a full digital signal instead of being jammed through an 1/8 inch jack(which you can also do). And once in installed the drivers(which are on the website), and plugged in some doom eternal, the 7.1 surround kicked in and i was immersed in a world of PAIN and blood properly. I already had the e3000 headphones and these are tons better. and for the price, you just can’t go wrong. they’re well balance with an impressive dynamic range, and frankly the surround reall surprised me.the microphone also detaches thank god. i don’t play competitively so it’s distracting when i have to deal with a microphone in my face.all in all, if you’re looking for something on par with corsair or even logitech(no sh–) for a lot less money, GET. THESE. NOW.

    Great sound quality, OK microphone

For the price, I don’t think you could ask for a better headset. I was honestly impressed by the sound quality in these budget headphones. The 7.1 Surround Sound was crystal clear and the noise isolation was good enough that I was not distracted by my teens squabbling in the next room. The lighting is understated but nice, I would be nicer if it was RGB instead of single colour, but that’s a lot to ask in the sub $30 category. My only real complaint is that a few times the people on the other end of my chat described my voice as a bit tinny. So this is fine for gamin, not so much for content creation (youtube streaming, twitch, etc.) But it’s not advertised for that. Also since the mic is detachable you COULD just replace it with a higher quality mic, should that be a thing you want to do.Mic quality is not bad enough to knock off a star, since no one had trouble understanding or hearing me. Just something I think buyers should be aware of.

    Superb audio for games ?

When I opened the box the first thing that I noticed is that very nice bag ? . I know is not a selling point but was a very nice surprise.Opened the bag and noticed the light weight of the headphones ? the very nice materials. Soft where it needs to be and solid on the headband.I’m using this with my Ps4 and this comes with all the cables that you may need USB to type c and 3.5mm to type c.I used the 3.5mm to hook them up to the ps4 remote and it’s a pleasure to used them , I did run them for about 5 hours and they where great to use .Sound is great all the details are there. While I play overwatch I can hear where all the shots come from and avoid the Flankers.I do recommend this as the quality of audio is superb ? .

Wow!!! Super light weight and great sound.

I was blown away by how light the EKSA Air Joy Pro headset really is. I have bought others that claim to be lightweight but are several times heavier and clunkier. This headset is slim, trim and comfortable with no wiring between the ear pieces to catch or brake over time like others. The way the earpieces pivot to fit different head sizes and shapes is hard to describe but absolutely brilliant. The headset is not noise cancelling so you can hear background noise if I’m a loud room but the sound quality is great. I like that it uses a standard USB C plug so I can easily swap connectors when going between devices.
