Six months later and now my W key is no longer fully responsive
It’s a rather important key for gaming. It works probably 99% of the time, but it’s REALLY obvious when you press it and you’re not moving. Sad, because I was pretty happy with this keyboard. It replaced my Corsair K63, which I did not care for because it was constantly giving me static shocks, took up two(!) USB ports, and ended up frying them — probably because of all the shocking.Edit – they sent me a replacement keyboard for free. Yay!

Red Dragon Does it Again
I have to say that I love their products. My first experience with them is their Kumara LED keyboard. Then I got interested in addressable RGB and I have to say, that for a mechanical keyboard with addressable RGB, you can’t go wrong with the VISNU.PRO: Great keyboard, with cherry clones, very nice clicky feel. The brush aluminum look is great. The brightness on the RGB is awesome, and bright enough that I can see the light even though my desk is next to a window in my Den. the software that controls the different effects is great as well. You can cycle through them from the keyboard, but I found using the keyboard was nicer because you can set presets (For example, I have a world of Warcraft preset which lights up specific keys that I want) You can also program macros to this keyboard as well. This keyboard also has water resistance, so accidently splashing a soda won’t kill the keyboard (haven’t tried that out yet)CON: Getting the software can be a pain at times. You have to make sure to you go to the American website to find it. Also sometimes the software glitches and won’t save a preset (although this has only happened twice (and isn’t what I would consider remotely common) also a minor nit pick, but it would have been nice if the keyboard was either wireless, or had braided cable. However at the price you’re paying these are VERY MINOR complaints.OVERALL: I own or have owned, two of their mice and two keyboards, and I’ve been impressed overall.Be aware that the VISNU is a ten keyless keyboard, so you get no number pad. Looks like Redragon has addressed the issues people had with this keyboard
If you read the negative reviews of this keyboard, (and there aren’t many) there are mainly 2 issues:problems with 1 key (stopped working, sticking, etc…)software (can’t find it, doesn’t work, etc…)I spent several days reading reviews and watching videos about similar keyboards in this price range.All of them have the same occasional problem with one key. Because of this, I planned on getting a keyboard with hot swappable switches. That way, if a key started to have issues, I would just swap the switch with one from a bracket or function key I never use. However, The K561 came with 3 extra switches. It also includes the key and switch pullers you’ll need if you ever have to replace a switch.As far as software goes, go to redragonzon.com, click k561 Visnu, and downloaded the software (as it says in the instructions). I did have to right click and select run as administrator in order for it to open on my windows 10 PC.The software is quick and easy to use. It’s fully customizable and you can save 3 profiles. My son made one with a bunch of custom colors for keys he uses in CSGO. Most of the other keyboards I researched, weren’t full RGB, or weren’t as customizable.Overall, the keyboard has everything I was looking for:1.) I wanted to try mechanical keyboard with blue switches. (everyone likes it so far)2.) No number pad for more mouse space. (with a standard key size / layout)3.) Backlit with different color options. (so I can spot the WASD / arrow keys in the dark)4.) Cord long enough to reach my computer under desk5.) Didn’t want to spend a lot of money (has more features and costs less than comparable generic keyboards)

Spend a Little More
Yeah, went cheap after reading reviews here and on online videos. The switches are not crisp at all and have a very cheap feel to them. They almost feel linear instead of tactile and that just isn’t what I was expecting given the description and reviews. The keyboard works and the lighting is beautiful, but if you want it for typing you’ll find that even some membrane keyboards feel better.If you just want a keyboard with a color display, then this is fine. If you want a keyboard for an enhanced typing feel, pass this up and get something better.

The Good: Quality
The Good: Quality, everything from the box it came in, all the way down to the individual keys. This keyboard feels very solid and exceeded my expectations. There is no outside software that I needed to put on my computer and the keyboard has 18 different light patterns ready to go out of the box. My desk area fights for space, so I also love that the keyboard does not have a number pad (though you don’t realize you miss it until you don’t have it…) All the keys are solid and responsive when pressed. Works well for video games and everyday use. I personally love the “click, clack” sound.My one Negative: Even though I do love the “click, clack” sound the keys make, IT IS LOUD!! This isn’t enough to drop this amazing keyboard from 5 stars to 4. When I am typing something like this review, other people in my house from a few rooms away are very aware that I am typing. I have had other tactile keyboards before that were not close to the volume this keyboard produces.Would I buy this again? YES Would I recommend that you buy it? Yes

Great value for the price
I was a tad skeptical at purchasing from Redragon, since my Kumara keyboard started to double register a few months ago, but when I switched to the “Mechanical-Feel” crap I decided I needed to look for a new keyboard once more. Thus, seeing this one on sale, I figured given the impeccable customer service Redragon has, I could take a risk. Well, Im glad I did, as I LOVE this keyboard. It feels really great to type on, and although it can be loud, I recommend using Rosewill o rings on it to dampen the sound. I have had no problems so far with it, and the amount of customisability is astounding for the price point, not to mention its RGB. I really reccommend this over the other tenkeyless keyboards redragon has to offer, and Im certain you wont regret your purchase. I may update this review if anything does occur to change my opinion, however.UPDATE: It has been nearly 2 years since I wrote this review, and I am STILL gaming on my keyboard! I absolutely love it, and am not replacing it any time soon. So far, there have been no issues with unresponsiveness and whatnot.

For the price, outstanding
In a weeks use, I’m really loving this keyboard. It has a great feel and it was very easy to adjust to from a vastly different kind of keyboard that replaced it. I wanted a backlit keyboard like my MacBook Pro has for typing at night. This fit the bill almost perfectly. Huge range of colors and control but I didn’t need anything fancy. On Mac, I did have to go into Keyboards preferences and properly setup the Alt and Command keys, do a key switch with the little tool but that took mere minutes to do. I only wish the keyboard illumination would automatically go completely off after a timed period of non use. But Function + Down key does this and I’m now used to doing so (and turning the light on) in the dark. The unit is very well built. Has a very solid feel. It is a bit loud when typing, maybe due to the mechanical keys but I don’t find that an issue as I’m mostly typing alone and the feel of the key’s make up for the additional sounds. The manual is so-so, mostly useful for what keys control the lighting and such. Nothing I could find about using the little tool for swapping around keys, but it’s kind of obvious how it works. And it does work quite well. For the price, this is an outstanding product so far and I’m very happy.

This keyboard has been amazing so far! Being that it has 87 keys, it can fit on my small desk which really helps. The size is perfect for me, and the keyboard itself is great. Continuing with its appearance, there are 18 different lighting modes (see attached video) that are really cool! They are perfect for gaming in the dark, or, to use just because they look cool! Another really cool feature of this keyboard is that it is waterproof! That is almost essential for gamers because we always have drinks by our side that spill quite often. With this feature, this keyboard invincible!In addition, the keys feel well-made and are responsive. It is a pleasure to type with this keyboard. I have a Mac, and Redragon is one of those brands that works great with Mac. Being that there is no software required to change the lighting makes it so easy to enjoy my gaming experience without having to open an application. Instead, it is a plug-and-play, easy to maneuver gaming keyboard.I would most definitely recommend that you purchase this keyboard as your next one. Not to mention, the price is very good for such a great keyboard. It is perfect for those who have little space, prefer smaller keyboards, or don’t require a number pad. I’ll start off by saying that this is my first mechanical keyboard, so I don’t have any equivalent to compare it too than my brother’s cheap Cooler Master keyboard.Right from the get-go, the keyboard is quite aesthetic. The aluminum surface gives it a solid, durable feel. The RGB effects are bright, well lit without being too distracting, and has multiple customizable features for illumination. The keys are loud, but satisfying. They take very little pressure to input, which is nice. The feet that adjusts the keyboard’s positioning are also solid.Performance wise, the keyboard worked right out of the box, just plug and play. So far I have no issues and all my inputs are registering properly. I do feel that I play a little better with the VISNU. Time will tell regarding longevity, but I’m wholly convinced that this keyboard will out-live my brother’s and any subsequent keyboard he buys sans buying his own Redragon VISNU keyboard. I am satisfied as this is one sexy piece of tech. It was thoroughly worth the buy and I would recommend it to those who are interested in an affordable mechanical keyboard.

Beautiful in Full RGB
This keyboard is amazing in so many ways. It’s performance is impeccable and the build and LED quality is top notch. I switched this out from my K558 Rainbow keyboard because I wanted to try out a Full RGB one and needed more space on my desk. This keyboard was a perfect choice.Typing on it is very satisfying and responsive. Also, I am using it without a palm rest of any sort and it is still very comfortable to type on. This keyboard clearly doesn’t come with a palm rest as it is part of the design.Aesthetically, this keyboard is awesome too. It’s nothing super flashy. The brushed metal is a lot more darker in person. It is noticeable, just not silver or dark gray, but closer to a black brushed metal, which I personally like a lot more anyways. The coolest thing I like about the build itself is that there is no red plastic on the keyboard anywhere. This means that anyone can use this keyboard regardless of the work station or gaming build color scheme. This is a huge plus to a lot of people who want to use the awesome products Redragon makes but choose not to because of the forced red hard plastic that is found on many other models.The RGB lighting itself is also amazing. There is no software needed to use it either. It is all ready to go out of box with about 18 different color effect modes along with stationary colors. The lighting has no on/off feature, but it can be ‘disabled’ by just turning down the brightness till they are off which is good anyways since it just saves an unnecessary separate command for doing that. The animations are extremely smooth and satisfying and the RGB appears to have a full range of colors (although for solid colors, you are limited to 8 since there is no fine tuning software). You can also change the speed of animations using Fn+’- or +’ keys and you change the direction of certain animations using Fn+’left arrow’. The color modes are changed using Fn+’Ins, Home, PgUp, Del, End, PgDn’. Each one has 3 different modes.Now with every product, there is always some sort of flaw, with this keyboard, I found that there is no way to custom map which keys stay lit. Unlike my K558 where I can select individual keys to stay on and quickly swap between setups for different games, this keyboard only allows animations or solid colors across the full board. Being able to do something like set up my WASD to light up one color and have my number keys be a different color would have been nice, but it is a feature I won’t use anyways since that would defeat the purpose of having a full RGB keyboard.My final verdict is that this keyboard is an absolute steal. The price is very fair and affordable and the build and lighting quality is extremely impressive. It will fit any build design and looks beautiful as is. Plus the mechanical keys are just so fun to type on. If you need a new keyboard, this is the one you should get.
