    Great value for the cost!

I had old (6 yrs old) 24″ LED Flat monitor. I tried a new 24″, but it really didn’t improve what I had color wise or sharpness. I’m not a gamer, so I didn’t rate for that. I review HD football film and use Excel, Power point, Zoom video, pdfs for my work. I’ve only had this for a few hours. Out of the box, without touching the settings, it’s awesome for me. Right away I got that Wow reaction. Colors are very good, sharpness is awesome on the HD clips. I’m pretty easy to please and don’t have super high, techie, requirements. I do use a dual screen set up and I’m very pleased with the set up. I feel it’s a great value for the dollars! I might get a second monitor to try a side by side, dual set up that way. For what it’s worth. Pretty happy!

Monitor developed a horizontal line from left to right in less than 4 months

Monitor became defective in less than 4 months into normal usage.I called Samsung USA since I have 3 year warranty; at least I thought I had a warranty.Tech support from Samsung USA told me that the monitor was manufactured in Latin America so I would have to call Samsung Latin America for warranty work. I took a picture of the label that has the model and serial number on the back of the monitor. It says it was made in China. Crazy.Called Samsung Latin America and I was told that I have to ship the monitor back to Panama for warranty work. Let me make this clear; not Panama city in Florida but the country in South America.I think Samsung USA should have owned up and repair the monitor instead of pushing responsibility to Samsung Latin America.I also think Amazon should clearly state grey market versions vs. North America versions to consumers. Even really shady photo/video stores in Brooklyn disclose this information to buyers.Update: Amazon was willing to take back the monitor. They charged me 20% restocking fee however. I guess that is better than shipping the monitor internationally for “warranty” work.

    Great quality and good price!

I love this monitor it is so big and easy to see everything for work. I’m a tax accountant so I am always in excel files and this makes it so when I open big excel files. I think the quality is great and I really like the curved feature. The colors are very vibrant and it’s tone better than my office monitor! The only thing is I’m still waiting for my desk to come so once I get that, I’ll be perfect!

The screen is ok but Freesync would not work and the Dimensions are way off! Had to return it.

I was pretty excited to upgrade this unit until I realized it wasn’t the right size and freesync was an issue. I ordered this and 2 x 21.5″ monitors (19″ wide) For my gaming setup. This monitor was supposed to be 18.2″ in height (as listed on the product page) which should have been pretty close to the height of the other 2 monitors in portrait view at 19″, however, as you can see in the photos this is not the case. While the monitor is a decent monitor for the price it did not meet my expectations and the dimensions being so far off (14.5″ rather than 18.2″) I needed to return it. I also had issues with getting freesync to work. Not really happy and I wasted a lot of time. The quality of the picture was ok but I am not satisfied.

    Screen is not on vertical

I had seen one review that mentioned this issue but since it was just one, I blew it off. But as soon as I stood this upright I was like – OH. I tried it for a little while thinking maybe it is a ‘feature’ that enhances a curved screen – and I can’t stand it. I have to send it back. If you can deal with this issue you will probably like this – it is a nice monitor for the price.

Great video quality, good price, size is perfect

So it took me weeks to pick a monitor. Price, video quality, screen size, curved vs not, what brand, etc. Lots of topics to review and look into.Anyway, after weeks of searching, I pulled the pin on this 27” curved Samsung for $186. Some of the reviews had me skeptical, but I was willing to take a chance…and I am glad that I did.I am absolutely impressed with this monitor. The video quality is impeccable, the screen size is perfect (I sit at a desk about 2-3 feet from screen), the curved screen looks great with my L-shape desk setup and is good video quality from any angle, and Samsung is a quality name-brand. It also has the ability to plug headphones into the back of the monitor and you are able to control the volume with the menu/power button. I highly recommend this monitor for gaming or anything needed for a good video quality.Only cons:1. power/menu button is awkward at first but simplistic and easy once you mess around.2. Screen only stands 4 inches from desk and is not adjustable, only can tilt (knew that when I purchased it)3. No USB port to plug external speakers in

    Apalling image/text quality

Now, in all fairness, I probably just spoiled myself rotten when I bought a $5000.00 Eizo professional monitor 8 or 10 years ago. Prior to that I’d been using two much less-expensive Samsung monitors and had been perfectly happy with them (excepting their longevity – neither of them lasted more than two or three years before going completely dead). Then, as I was embarking on a career as a pro photographer, I decided I needed a professional-quality monitor with precise and consistent color reproduction, so after hemming and hawing over the price for a while, I bit the proverbial bullet and laid down the cash for a new Eizo ColorEdge CG276. And honestly, at that time, I noticed that what I saw on my screen looked very nice, but I don’t recall it blowing my mind – proof that the way to *really* appreciate what you’ve got is to do without it. Because I’ve now tried replacing this Eizo monitor (which is still working perfectly in every respect and which I’m still using and writing this review on now) with less expensive monitors twice, and each time I’ve shaken my head in disbelief that anybody could use a monitor with such crappy resolution and image quality, let alone think it was good. That, sadly, but I guess as is to be expected, was my experience with this Samsung. It didn’t matter that the screen was curved; what I saw on the screen looked so terrible that it wouldn’t matter if the monitor was a freaking planetarium, or a perfect globe surrounding me on all sides while I floated in the center via…I don’t know…jetpack or something. I’d just have that much more poorly rendered graphics to look at.I’ve attached five photos: one of the progress bar as it appears on my Eizo monitor, and two as it appears on this Samsung, followed by one of the Apple logo as it appears on the Eizo and finally, the Apple logo as it appears on the Samsung. You be the judge. (UPDATE: I just noticed that Amazon’s website doesn’t display the images in the same order in which you upload them (or at least it isn’t with my images)…so suffice it to say that the really smooth and nice-looking progress bar and text and Apple logo are the Eizo’s screen, and the really jaggy, glary, awful-looking ones are the Samsung’s.)I don’t have the technical understanding of monitors required to explain which monitor-related variable it is, exactly, that makes the image quality on this Samsung so unsatisfactory (resolution? pixel size/shape? dunno.), but something definitely does it.Maybe once you’ve used an Eizo on a Mac, you can never go back. So be it. If I really need a new monitor I’ll just save my pennies until I can afford another Eizo…or at least something with much better specs than this Samsung. Because boy, was it a disappointment.Ah well…lesson learned (kinda…even though I don’t really know *why* I thought the Samsung sucked). I’ve boxed it back up and arranged my hassle-free return through Amazon and will at least get my money back…the return policy and process being two reasons I buy through Amazon in the first place. And I’ll simply content myself to go on using a top-quality flat screen (that I can smoothly and easily raise and lower and pivot and even turn from landscape to portrait and back!) instead of trying to swap it out for a vastly inferior curved one (that I can only tilt up and down).

Functional came with HDMI cables and looks great

Update: I purchased my monitors back in September and I absolutely love them! I have not had any problems what so ever with them. I am buying one as a birthday gift. With the pandemic, my hip started hurting from all the sitting down. I upgraded with rising desk and dual monitors. They work great on a Vivo Dual monitor mount. I went out and brought HDMI cables and was surprised both monitors had one already. Although they are new, I am loving the curve look and they look great. Great buy thus far.

    Second Purchase!

Love the size! It’s not too big but also not too small, and I love how it curves. The picture quality is crisp, clear and is a great addition for those who have a work-from-home desk job. There’s also a setting that makes it easy on the eyes from working on it all day, which I really love!I also recently purchased a new desk and two VESA mounts, so I went ahead a bought another one of these monitors to go with it. Looking forward to mounting these bad boys up! I’ll send another update once my setup is complete! I haven’t used them for gaming yet, but I plan on it and will include it in my next review update.Great purchase and inexpensive!UPDATE! 5/11/21 – The VESA mounts fit perfectly on both of my monitors! If you’re thinking of going this route, I highly recommend it! I would also recommend getting a cord box organizer which really helps for organizing wires and hiding the mess. The brand I ordered was Dmoose. My work from home office is now complete!
