Impressed with the quality for the price.

Got this because I recently purchased a gaming laptop and the keyboard was too small for me. I was thinking of buying the Tartarus v2 but since I only game occasionally on it(mostly use the laptop for work) I decided to get this since it was way cheaper. And I have to say I am impressed with it the switches feel great and I replaced the key caps with some old Corsair one ones I had laying around and this thing feels very good would 100% recommend if you’re on a budget and need a gaming half keyboard.

Works great with PS4 (direct and XIM)

I use a XIM4 to play shooters on my PS4 and this thing works great. I also tried it direct input with the new CoD:MW and it works great there too. It’s a no frills, no macros, gamepad that can’t be reconfigured in anyway. The pic is for comparison with my good ole G13 and a PS4 controller.

    Pros vs Cons, you decide

Pros:-Size-Functionality-Quality-LightingCons:-Loud Clicking-Seriously, Loud ClickingI had to switch from open team chat to push to talk chat. It’s not a big deal if that’s how you play but when you need to relay info and do it fast, push to talk isn’t the best method. Also, if you wear some quality headphones the clicking noise is significantly dampened. So it’s not a big deal. It all comes down to you. At this point in time, I’m not going to shell out 80+ dollars for a Razer whatchamacallit but 20 bucks for this and it works well with my key bindings…. that’s okay.

    Great option for Laptop!

We have this awesome gaming laptop we inherited, but long gaming can be uncomfortable if you have big hands. My solution was to see if I could find a keyboard that could be adjusted and just used for the normal gaming set ups. This is a pretty cool keyboard. It lights up when the computer is on and has fun, bright colors. There are certain buttons that are louder then others, which is why that noise rating is not a 5. It’s more annoying then anything since most of the other buttons are pretty quiet.Overall – we are very happy with this product!

    Mouse Pad Space

Creates room, the feel is fine. Kinda loud if you’re used to silent keyboards, but its not anything numbing or annoying. Wrist pad is an unremovable hard piece of plastic but it does the job, no discomfort. Lights stay rainbow (one color per row). Nothing really wrong with any of it. There are times where I wish I had one more row of keys being 7,Y,H,N. But if you have another keyboard for typing, it’s not really a problem. There are plenty of keys for mapping in most games, especially if you have extra mouse keys, this will do perfectly. You can Alt+Tab on it which is for me, that alone is worth the money. I don’t imagine anyone using this other than for gaming. You cannot type full on sentences with the keyboard without using multiple, but that shouldn’t be a problem assuming you have another plugged in.

Everything you want. Price is Right.

I had a pair of headphones made by Sades that was total trash that I got off eBay for like $8 shipped. The audio bled into the mic and they hurt after a few hours. That was my only experience with this brand before buying this and I can say that I am impressed but what I got.I selected this keyboard because I was looking for half size keyboard I can play pubg on and all the other ones were more expensive than my full full size keyboard or didn’t have actual mechanical keys. not to mention that the more expensive keyboards had a bunch of extra buttons that I didn’t want to use or had not the right buttons to play the game.this keyboard is exactly half, the left half of a keyboard; nothing more, nothing less. There is no other volume buttons or macro buttons or memory or programming it just lights up when you plug it in and clicks when you press the buttons. The keys are something like blues. Super loud click, very tactile. I wish it had reds or blacks, as my friends make fun of me for spamming the keyboard.Im taking off one star for the molded in palm rest. It positions my hand a little back from where I liked it. I’d rather remove it. I might Dremel it off. Regardless I had a mouse wrist pad lying around that put me in a perfect position so not that big of a deal. For 23 bucks I get exactly what I want, no extra crap.

A nice, space-saving one-handed keyboard for the price!

I wasn’t really expecting much for the price but this turned out to be a great purchase. It’s lightweight, responsive, and takes up very little desk space. The LED backlit keys are nice and the few different wave patters they display are nice as well, although I never use them as I prefer always-on backlit keys. So far I’ve been using this for Black Ops 4 and Apex Legends and I have zero complains about it so far. You get what you pay for and a little bit more.Bonus note: This is XIM Apex compatible.

    Comfortable fit for my hand.

My primary keyboard is a Logitech MX Keys. I like low profile Keyboards that make little to no noise for when i am working. But obviously its not great for gaming. I originally tried out a Razer Tartarus V2 but i was starting to notice that the more i gamed the more my hand was hurting. I wear a size medium for gloves so you can get an idea of how big my hand is. The hump on the tartarus where your palm is supposed to sit feels to high and leaves me straining to reach all the keys. So i decided to take a chance on this one. After a few days i packed up the tartarus and am getting ready to sell it.I am a casual gamer and play a lot of different games at one time. I was not a fan of having to setup key mapping for different games within the razer software due to the limited amount of keys. This thing has enough keys to get by on all the games i have tried. I like being able to plug it and and play without having to learn a whole bunch of keys for every game.Only downside for me is i am not a huge RGB fan. Have to cycle through the options to turn it off after i restart my machine. Small gripe for what you get for the money here. Also i got the black switches that do make some noise but not a crazy amount like a clicky switch. I was able to put 2 oring dampeners on each key to quiet them down a bit.

The keys are nice and quiet .

I purchased this as an add-on for my laptop so that I could play borderlands. It works well. The keys are not nearly as loud as the mechanical ones my coworker has, but they work great. The backlights for the keys are fine. They look cool. However, they aren’t configurable, but that’s not an issue for me.My only gripe is that there is no little nub on the F key for me to know where the home key is. That’s easy enough for me to remedy with a couple of drops of glue.

    Dead on Arrival

Completely dead on arrival. Extremely light, wouldn’t have stayed in place on desktop if I had bothered to keep it anyway. Manual and box are mostly in Chinese.Don’t bother. save your pennies and buy something from a reputable manufacturer.

  12. Forget Logitech and Razer; this is the one you want.

I just upgraded (yes, upgraded) to this device from the Logitech G13 I’ve been using for the last five years or so; the difference between the black switches (linear [not tactile or “clicky”; you can’t feel nor hear the activation] and relatively heavy [as compared to reds and browns]) and the membrane keys of the G13 is simply night and day; you’d never want to go back, and nor do I (it’s history). (The G13 feels like really mushy browns [which is my switch of preference for typing].) Do I miss the G13’s screen and thumbstick? No. Do I miss game-specific profiles? No. This unit has all the keys and functionality you’ll need (minus Enter, perhaps), and nothing you don’t and won’t use.Of note: this model is also available with blue switches. Blue switches are tactile and “clicky” (see: intentionally loud); they’re designed not for gaming devices, but for typing. For gaming, you want blacks or reds–end of story (pay the premium for them, as I did).p.s. don’t sweat the manufacturer (I have no idea who made the switches, and I don’t care). “Switch snobbery” will be a thing of the past, as Cherry MX goes out of business (without their patents on these switches, what do they offer that anyone needs?). These switches feel nearly identical (and I sincerely doubt that anyone could tell the difference, side-by-side), and you will like them (though they might be a bit heavier than you’re used to, at first, you’ll quickly adjust).(TL;DR: forget the blue-switch model; pay more for this one.)

Bad keyboard for desktop, possibly decent for laptops on the go, decent when gaming in bed.

I’ve had this keyboard for about two weeks, I spent a day and a half focusing on a single game at a time for testing. I do plan on using this more when I receive Motospeed K27 to compare the two. For now I’ll be making comparisons with just my Corsair Vengeance K65 keyboard.Quality:The difference in quality is huge even though I’m comparing a $23 half-keyboard to a $90 full keyboard. When typing, you can clearly feel the springs in the Sades aren’t the best of quality. As for the Blue Cherry switches, it feels more like black switches. This wouldn’t be a surprise, as I’ve been buying Sades products on occasion and when I receive them (usually in a month or two), they tend on not be what I order them to be, but very similar to the product I wanted, so I don’t really complain that often. There is a big delay difference in black and blue cherries that I’ll show through an GIF I’ll clip onto this review as reference for. Even for Black Cherry MX switches, the delay in response time is very bad. So overall, the quality is quite disappointed compared to what I had assumed from reading the comments. The plate holding the keys is quite sturdy though. So I’ll rate it as a 3/5 in this section. I kinda of expected more since it was only half a keyboard, but I’m sure the cost came from certain design choices.Let’s move onto games. I’ve played about a handful of games to see if there’s any practical use for it as a main keyboard.Slow Paced FPS:Decent for slow fps games, such as Team Fortress 2, where fast movement is done with mouse more so than the keyboard itself or Left 4 Dead where you don’t run.Kind-of Fast FPS;It does fine for games like Overwatch and Paladins, where movement is very refined so any decent keyboard feels pretty good when playing.Fast Paced FPS:Its a terrible option, games like Titan Fall 2, Dirty Bomb, and Quake need good, quick movement control and this keyboard doesn’t provide it. Pressing down the buttons requires more force than what a Black MX Cherry switch would need with a delay. Using this keyboard for fast paced games would give you a disadvantage.LoL Moba type games:I stopped playing League of Legends a few years back, don’t plan on trying it out for that. There is a game I still occasionally play, being Battlerite. From my experience, this keyboard doesn’t feel very good, so overall feels meh. I wouldn’t use it for games like DotA2, LoL, Battlerite, and so on.Battle Royal Type of games:This could fall under slow and mid-pace games, but how they play out is very different. Games like Fortnite would feel pretty bad using this keyboard, however games like PUBG and H1Z1: King of the Kill, would be fine as its a slower pace than Fortnite is.There are more games I plan on trying this out, but the main usage will be used for travel. I don’t see this as a good or even a decent option for your main system and I’d suggest investing into a more quality keyboard.Additional thoughts:The distance between the keys are much larger than those of a standard keyboard. This is a positive for those with big hands, but not so much for a standard to small size. The palm rest is actually pretty good, even if you can’t detach it.The lights are something they would reconsider how they manage their resources. It would better if they stuck with a single light color rather than each row being a different color. The additional LED options are okay to mess around with for a while, but they don’t really offer anything more than a minute of entertainment. They could of provided options like the Motospeed K27 where I’ve seen from videos, provide better effects and better LED settings for only $20. I’ll be looking forward to reviewing the K27 once it arrives. They could’ve done so much for with the LEDs in the Sades keyboard. The grips at the bottom is pretty good as it doesn’t move when you’re playing. I do wish they would have added feet to adjust the keyboard higher.Even though this is mostly plastic, its feels pretty sturdy while remaining light weight, however the material used for the switches could have been so much better if they didn’t waste resources on the smart LEDs and made the keyboard more compact, which could have made this a good cheap keyboard option.I mainly ordered this as an option for play fps games on my laptop on the go. I’ve mostly used my ps4 controller for racing, 2d platformer and fighting games when I’m not home. I’ll see how that will play out, but for now I use it when I play on my laptop in my bed, which has been a decent experience so far.Overall statement for use on a main system:I wouldn’t recommend it, even at this price, the keyboard doesn’t feel good, the keys are too spaced out, and Blue MX Cherries feel closer to Black MX Cherries with more resistance to pushing down. The more I think about, the more I think they’re not really cherry switchers, so there’s a good chance of them being fake cherry switches. I recommend looking at better options and invest more into a good keyboard that’s suited for gaming purposes. Chances are that I won’t be buying this again as I’ll have another single handed keyboard with me to use as a backup. There’s still use as an option to game in bed with a laptop if you dislike controllers and I plan on trying it out in car/plane in the future to see how that goes.

Solid buy, exceeds the expectations of its price point, and meets what i need.

Tldr is at the bottom of my review indicated by ***I got this because my desk is small, and gaming with a fullsize keyboard is possible, but my mouse sensitivity has to be so high and so my aiming is generally shit… So i looked up half size keyboards as a solution.I chose this one with the “black”(i say “black” because they arnt true blacks, they are a knock off)switches because i dont like loud clicky sounds, but i wanted enough click that i felt a tactile response. On both counts this does its job properly.I have a lot more room on my desk, and so my gameplay stats have improved because i have more precise control over my aiming. The blacks though knock offs perfrom well enough that noobs wont notice much difference at all to be honest. They perform how i need them too. Responsive, audible but not loud, and resistive enough that i can feel the click.I also like where they decided to put the cut off, most cut off at f5, this cut off at f6 which i feel is important because the games i play(fortnite, pubg, cod black ops 4, fo4 and fo76) utilize keys further out than some games… And what default keys arnt inlcluded in this kb(typically h and m) can easily be assigned to a more convinient and open key on the half(i chose caps/tap depending on game, and z/x depending on game). The hand rest is good. I gave it 4 stars for comfortability because for me and my hand, i cant complain, it is a hard plastic hand rest, but my hand is never uncomfortable or anything. But that doesnt mean there isnt a more comfortable or ergonomical half keyboard, its just given my set up and handsize it works. This may not be the case for you and definitely is a point to consider.***Now my reasons for this product are mostly because of limited desk space, and limited budget, and if these two reasons apply to you(or even just limited space) then this is a solid buy as it performs quite well. However if you have more desk space, get a full size keyboard… It is annoying to change kbs between gaming and general tasks… If you have a higher budget, then get one with more features(such as an extra row of unassigned hot keys, or one that can program macros, or something with a better handrest)…. And the build quality is actually pretty damn good… Its rly light, but its pretty d*** solid… And this is coming from a rager.

    Does what you’d expect

It’s a half a keyboard. It’s no fancy tech like the Razer Orbweaver, it’s simply a half a keyboard and it does it’s job. I bought it so my mouse has more room and I’m happy with it. The lights aren’t customizable which doesn’t turn me off but it might for other people. Just make sure you’re not expecting an Orbweaver and you won’t be let down. It’s also surprisingly sturdy for how cheap it is. It’s also really loud if you’re not used to mechanical keyboards so heads up for people that might stream or record, your mic could pic up the noise.TL;DR It’s a half a keyboard and it does what you’d expect half a keyboard to do

    Colors are not changable

The description says “Backlit can be adjusted to the player’s desired color, supporting different cool dynamic lighting effects. You can create your own unique keyboard.” however Only about 5 different blink patterns you can NOT change key colors.

Yes!!! It works on PS4 and Xbox One

I was really concerned with the quality and performance of the one handed Sades keyboard. But man was I surprised, this keyboard is amazing. The quality and performance were top of the line for the price of $20. I love the fact the the noise of the keys are not that loud. There mid loud and the satisfaction of using the keyboard is 10/10. The wrist support is fine. It cannot be removed tho. The packaging was fine and overall for the price and quality I give this product 5 stars buy will you still can. I love this one handed keyboard well done SADES

For the ultraportable laptop gamer that doesn’t like their laptop keyboard

Overall, this is a nice keypad for those that play games that don’t quite require a full keyboard for. In fact, if all you’d need id a mouse and this keypad, it can serve as a primary keyboard for the ultraportable gamer. So, some highlights:•This uses, probably the equivalent of MX blue switches. That means you can probably use MX keycaps and change them out to whatever you’d like.•It’s got rainbow led backlighting. Just rainbow though, no color changing or anything. Also, it lights up the letters, unlike another keyboard I have purchased.•It’s super clicky. I’m talking clickety clackity I’m chugging up a mountain kind of clicky. With and average wpm of 90 I sound like I’m about to hack into the database of a high security bank or something.•The wrist rest is a plus. I guess. You can probably put some sort of soft material over it to make it a bit more comfy. It isn’t removable through normal means howeverNow for the cons:•It *is* just half a keyboard. This makes it undesirable for games that use other keys across the board.•The clicky sound can be undesired, but at that point I’m not sure why you’re looking through gaming peripherals, rubber dome keys are good enough provided you have the muscle memory to not ghost your keyboard.•The rainbow leds leave a little to be desired in rave party standards.

    Almost Perfect

I bought this and a Logitech G910 at the same time. This was supposed to only be for a certain game while the 910 was for everything else. Well, this thing feels better than the 910, so it gets used for everything. It just feels right. The only con to me is I have large hands and I would like the space bar to be a little longer. I have to mentally remind myself all the time to hold my thumb closer towards my palm than I prefer.Pro – Feels perfect. ie the key strokes, the clicks, the ergonomics…It just feels like high quality awesomeness.Con – If you have a large hand and are used to holding your thumb out, it will take a little retraining your brain for thumb position.I have gone through about 5 keyboards and 3 keypads in the past 2 years, trying to find some quality stuff. I think my 910 is a very good buy…but more importantly, this keypad is a GREAT buy. I am finally happy.

A mechanical gaming keyboard on a budget

My intent with this purchase was so I can free up some space on my desk for my mouse when I play my games. The mechanical keys offer a robotic assurance as I press them and it feels like it can tolerate the test of time. It is a very affordable alternative to some of the more pricier gaming keyboards out there. I coupled this purchase with the

XL Mouse Pad, Extended Gaming Rainbow Mouse Pad/Extended Desk Pad-Mousepad long Non-Slip Rubber Mice Pads Stitched Edges With Portable Bag

and it has given me a very comfortable set up.
