    Splurge item

The overall look and performance is good. For the price I wish some of it was a harder plastic, maybe an aluminum. The rgb lighting is nice, all though I don’t get why they didn’t make the razer symbol in the center an rgb as well, it would have been a nice touch.Otherwise it syncs with synapse well, has a similar Customizable profile to the headsets and mice.Overall if you’re a razer fanboy or want a decent rgb headset start to give your area a little flare, it’s great. But at 60$ I’d only buy it if I had all razer products to match it with (which I do).Nice product, good brand, but a splurge item in my opinion.

    Not as expected

So let’s start out with a few quick facts/disclaimers: this is my very first Razer item, I didnt exactly know what to expect besides that a lot of the YouTube’s I’m subscribed to use their products as well as online friends so I had high expectations at the same time. I do not have a gaming PC therefore I can’t utilize this to its pull potential by any means. I got it purely for aesthetic if I’m being honest since most of my gaming / pc stuff is black and pink already I thought it would match and it had pretty lights. Now that that’s out of the way let’s get cracking.I had read a lot of reviews and asked if this had to be plugged into a computer or could I just plug it into my wall. Pretty much everyone said I could plug it into my wall, THAT IS FALSE. It MUST 100% be plugged into a pc to work at all which was frustrating because I wanted it next to my bed where I keep my headphones but now I had to move them so that was a HUGE let down. I thought I had a defective item until I did even more digging and had to find out it only works plugged into a pc which makes sense given the brand. This leaves dents in my headphone cushion which its not a huge dent where it effects how it feels but ive never a headphone stand do that. It only works when your computer is on, so if you want to use it for charging anything or have the lights on your computer 100% must be onI think putting the USB ports in the front make your setup look like a mess and not as clean but it’s not that big of a deal to me since I don’t really plan to use those besides here and there. Speaking of usb… USB 5v from PC does not “fast charge” anything so if you plan to use a phone charger or anything for gadgets this isn’t your best option. It will still charge but not as fast as pretty much anything directly into the outlet or something made for lightning charge.Right when you plug this into your computer it will begin downloading a software which like I said: my first razer product I don’t know how it all works. I just wanted the option to control the lighting and it took forever to figure out which one of the 10 software’s it actually was. I like how customizable it can be, you can use their color chart or create your own, it can do different light effects like, breathing, gradient, static, go with your music, Star light etc so I was impressed. You need to register your product and make an account for it to save your light settings or it will constantly reset. When your PC is off, the lights turn off which is nice because I was low key worried it would just always be going when I was trying to sleep.Overall do I think it’s worth $50? Absolutely not but I’m paying for a brand and I understood that when purchasing. This is a 100% treat yo self sort of thing for me. I just was slightly disappointed for price paid what it offered.

    Perfect! But…

I mean, i like it, A LOT! it doesn’t have that many features for the price, but it feels good.CONS.1. The ports would be better on the back because having cables in the front looks bad.2. The cable is TOO short! lol, it can be placed next to your case, but if you want it a lil bit far from it, you would have to change your setup. OR just get an extension. So as you can see, cons are not enough to say is not a good product, I’m happy with my white setup. =)

Didn’t work, crashed my Razer mouse and other usb hub, got stuck in boot loop

So I thought I’d treat myself and buy this overpriced thing. One star because it’s pretty, aesthetically speaking, but it’s pretty useless tbh. I figured I could sync it up with my Razer mouse. But oh man, did this base station ever cause me a HEADACHE. Google search people’s issues with it crashing and getting stuck in *boot loop* — it’s a thing, apparently. Nothing I tried resolved the issue — including uninstalling/reinstalling all razer software, removing my other usb hub, etc. This drove me so nuts because this base station crashed itself and my mouse repeatedly every 5 seconds, rendering my setup useless. RAZER, FIX THIS. Returning because I seriously don’t have the time to fiddle around with this for days. It should be plug and play, but instead this base station was stuck in a boot loop, KILLED my other usb drive (they were not plugged into same port, btw), caused my mouse to seriously glitch out, and honestly ruined my morning. Returning for refund and going to buy Corsair’s version, because hey, at least it won’t CRASH my stupid Razer mouse.

    I’m obsessed!

I’m wasn’t really expecting much. I got the Kraken headphones for my birthday this year and love the Razer product from my experience with those. I liked the idea A LOT of having a matching stand for my headset, so it was an easy leap to purchase the Chroma Base Station.I don’t think I was expecting to fall in LOVE with the RGB set up that is built in. Razer’s Synapse program is absolutely fantastic and I can program it to control the lights I have in my office set up through Alexa as well. I like the Audio Meter setting, where the color changes based on the music playing through my audio devices. It’s so beautiful and I catch myself staring at odd times. The downside? I find that for my desk set up that the cord is just a smidge too short, and I really wish that there was a built in audio jack (logistically I know that there would be more required for set-up) so that I could plug my headphones directly into the Base Station.

Great color, lacking in some features

For the price, you’re likely here for the LEDs and Razer doesn’t disappoint. It works from being plugged in and the base lighting up looks great, though they could have done more lighting, it is as advertised.-The cord is very short, this is my largest critique. I would need an extension cord to plug it into the back of my computer, and cannot have my standing desk standup even with the cord going straight down to the machine. This is really unforgivable at this price for something that just holds your headset.-There is no cable management. Again, at this price I expect wire routing under the base for the charger. This headset rest does not charge your headset so a charging cable should be expected, Razer should have allowed for the cable to dock under the base so that it looks nicer and the charging cable doesn’t fall off or need it’s own separate management. If you’re buying this, you’re likely a Razer fanatic and you’ll probably like it anyways. Just know about it’s shortcomings and enjoy supporting your goto gaming company.

    Not for everyone.

I didn’t like it. Which, I’m not going to bash because that’s an opinionated preference. It just didn’t fit in my setup correctly. I like small things, not big, so… This was a bit too big for me, base wise. I decided to use my Razer Kiyo stand to hold my Razer manowar headset instead of this. Which works a lot better! Here’s why I can hate this… The USB ports are crap. My devices had a hard time staying connected to these. I had to return this and buy a nice USB splitter which works a helluva lot better. Granted, this is a very nice cosmetic desk trophy to show off in a stream, but using it? No thanks. Here’s a pic of my gaming girl set up ?

Amazon slapped a label on the retail box and shipped it to me.

Nothing against Razer, but Amazon shipped this without packaging and arrived damaged. I ended up returning it and went a different direction due to subpar build quality. (Corsair headphone holder is made of metal) Slightly disappointed since I am a Razer gaming supporter. Hopefully they will make better products in the future.Pros:- 3 USB drives- RGB lighting- Holds headphones of all sizesCons:- Made of plastic, damaged on arrival- Not very sturdy- Slides around on the desk, with they had some sticky rubber on the bottom like their mouse dongles

    Goodbye Razor

I used to buy exclusively razor products. After purchasing this mouse and the chroma stand I can confidentially state that Razor not longer is a gaming hardware company but just a computer hardware manufacture.1. The middle mouse button is so flimsy and weak it breaks after 1 week of use! PIECE OF JUNK!!! Good for two button that’s it!2. There is NO Plug and Play architecture! The amount of times you have to restart your computer when you plug in a Razor device is unbelievable. The amount of times the device has to connect and reconnect defends the users if you have any sort of audio indicator when you plug in a device. Every time I have to unplug and re-plug it has to restart my computer! Razor a gamer cannot RESTART in the middle of our game, because you piece of @#$% products don’t work!!!3. My let me speak on there software… the Razor Synpase… If you used to trust Razor and made the failure of purchasing products from them over many years you will soon learn they have 0 support for there legacy products. They push a new version of Synpase and your old devices are not recognized and now you have to have TWO version of there @#$% software running on your computer. OW Yes! running two of the same program cause many many problems. They are cheaper than other manufactures like corsair, Steelseries, Logitech for a reason…. THEY ARE JUNK BUYER BEWARE!!!
