I am happy with a purchase

Summary: The sound is wonderful, its everything what i was expecting from its price, i bought it for 39,99 (it had a small sale). It is made from plastic, but is quite durable and also comfortable to wear. I was not able to spend more on a headphone, and I am quite comfortable with the quality and experience of the bought one. Has a nice vacuum but its not yet a noice cancelation. Anyways at this price that feature will not be found anyways. The only thing not quite comfy is microphone, being always attached. Overall ITS TOTALLY worth it, and the price Is great as well.Built material and performance in more details. mostly its plastic, and thick one, so it stands great. Wire is rubbered in a way that if something gets damaged first I do not believe by any stretch of imagine that it will be the wire. Coshions are very soft and comfartable, and no dealbreaker for people with glasses, I am constantly wearing glasses and no downside was experienced with coshions. The same material is put on the upper part which holds your head on hair section, very comfortable anf soft feel, to be more accurate there is almost no feel of something on your head.It creates a vacuum but I would not call it noice canceling headphone as you can compare with the real ones (which actually are 300 usd more or less, so I do not even care about their “NOT EXCELENT NOICE CANCELATION” as never expected getting one at this price range)The deal of the mic is the following: its always there you need it or not, you can mute it with a phisical button, its easy and reachable, located on the left earcup, to which the mic is attached as well. The wire of mic seems good quality too, and is very flexible and stands strait in the position you stretch it, but stiil, can not dissapear, you can bend it away if you are not using it and for me it works fine. Next to mic mute button (which is also unmute button to bring the voice back) there is also a volume controller which I have not got used to it yet, well, not a dealbreaker as well, takes a second more to find them,Quality really seems good, two months already, no phisical damage, neither any changes in performance, keeps me satisfied as I was.In the bag it has two wires, one is for PC, the ones which has a mic and sound hole, usually green and pink ones (both 3.5mm), you can find them easily on your PC case where the input holes are located. The other one just gets connected with 3,5mm to already described one and has the headphones on the other end. I usually use the main one with the headphones with my laptop and phone ( basicly none of these does not have the pink hole for the mic as well, but actually it feels the same as with my PC when I use both wires) and the performance still is great.Go get them if you are looking for a budget headphones with a nice performance for gaming or calls, can be considered as a great gift as well.

Excellent multi-use headset for the price. A few minor flaws.

I bought this headset primarily for video conferencing with my teams now that I primarily work from home. I alternated between either my AirPods or Bose QC35’s for a while and while they worked well for short calls, the batteries would die quickly or they would begin to hurt my ears. The Razer headsets were highly recommended by a coworker who does a lot of gaming so I gave them a shot. The Good:For the price, these are an amazing wired headset. They are extremely light as advertised and after a while of wearing them, you don’t notice them on your head. They feel very well constructed and don’t feel like cheap plastic headphones. The ear cups are quite large and deep and do not press on your ear. They have lots of padding to make them comfortable for long periods of time. The microphone is extremely clear. People on calls have been impressed with how clear my voice sounds with almost no background noise being heard. It comes with a decent length 3.5mm Stereo/Mic jack and a longer extension cable to split the audio out and microphone in, which is a nice addition for some users. The Not-So-Good:- The headphone’s audio is good, but it’s not great out of the box. Razer advertises this headset as a 7.1 Surround Sound headset but their 7.1 Surround Sound software is only available on Windows, which was a bit of a let down as a Mac user. I ended up installing Boom3D on my Mac which I assume is doing a similar thing as their software, and it sounds better.- There is not a ton of padding at the top of the headphones which can hurt the top of your head after long periods of time. (though this seems to be the case with most over-ear headsets).- Razer advertises this headset with “Eyewear Channels” for comfort while wearing glasses, but I have found that after long periods of time with glasses the sides of your head can hurt a bit.I highly recommend this headset for people wanting a solid multi-use headset without dealing with the hassle of batteries, Bluetooth, and high costs.

    Overall Decent

I have had these for a day and so far are alright, not the greatest, especially for $50. I have had better $25 headsets.PROS:-Very very very lightweight, probably the lightest headset I’ve ever owned!-Very comfortable and fits well-Flexibility is decent-Microphone quality is pretty good, not the greatest-free roam mic, comes right up to your mouth-memory foam padding on headband is very comfortable-Noise cancelling-cord is long and not elastic, which is great so it wont curl up and tangleCONS:-Sound quality could use a lot of improvement-Pitchy mids, no bass, highs are screamy-mids are very static and can hurt your ears-Plastic buildOVERALL:Razer has got the build down, the build of the headset is amazing. The thing that could use some work, is whats inside. Mic quality and sound quality can use a lot of work.Build: 10/10Mic: 7/10Sound: 3/10

    Awful

Update: Less than 5 months passed, and the microphone just stopped workingI bought a lot of Corsair products recently and what I’ve found is the quality is worse and one should just spend the extra $15-20 more to get an actually good product. This headset doesn’t come with surround sound, and when you download their software to get access to their “surround sound’ it doesn’t work. Only had the headset for a few days, and I’ve been gentle with it and it’s already giving me more scratchiness than audio. This is a complete scam of cheap materials.

    Customer Service Unparalleled!

Purchased for my son with his birthday and Christmas money. He LOVED these and it worked better than any he has had. You do need to adjust the PC settings but once complete they are a really nice headset. Not cheap but under $100. 2 1/2 months in they cracked on crown piece of headset. Contacted Amazon who put me in touch with Razer. I have to say this experience was hands down the BEST customer service experience I have EVER had! It fell under warranty and the rest was not only smooth but they communicated with me many times a week keeping me updated on progress. Ended up with a new headset! Very impressed!!! Wish more product customer service was similar. BUT, shout out to Amazon customer service as they too are really fast and really fair. Good experience and thank you!!!

An honest review of the Razer Kraken X, one of the best for it’s price!

(Don’t worry if this review looks too long, I included a TLTR (Too Long To Read) at the bottom to sum it all up without all the extra waffle and detail)..I am writing this review at 3 month of owning this headset hoping anyone who happens to read it will find it useful. I ordered this when my previous headset had broke (Which I later found out was planned and guaranteed by the company that made that model). This headset surprised me more than anything upon first opening it.Lets get started with the sheer amount of bass. Gunshots feel more like they are being fired from a gun. Music I listen to has much more backbone. It could be that my old headset just didn’t have much more bass than earbuds, but this headset is quite well for its bass. There are even settings to turn up the bass! Though, I honestly wish there were options software-wise to reduce bass, as sometimes its a bit much and your regular usage feels too loud or might make your ears hurt. Perhaps you could turn the bass in certain games down, but I wish it could be done with the headset. The sound quality I found (possibly because of the bass) to be absolutely gorgeous. Music I once found just the regular normal became tear-jerking and chill-inducing. Games couldn’t sound better. The noise cancellation is insane, and honestly a bit too much for me. This is situational though, but my family does have to yell a bit louder to call me for dinner. However, if what you want is noise cancellation, this headset is best for it! Its like you are entering a portal, but for your ears, every time you put these on! The outside world stops existing for a bit and your games come to life in a whole other level of immersion.Because of how locking-in this headset is, the complaint about your ears getting hot since there’s nowhere for the heat to escape these almost air-tight covers is often. But, that is why Razer has options for coolant variants at a steeper price, which honestly fits well. The headset I had previously had 3 customizable buttons on the side, as well as an auto-muting microphone (with a light to let you know when its muted) that disconnects when you raise it. This has neither. You have to click the microphone off here, which is fine.On the subject of microphone, it is incredible quality, honestly a bit too good for me. Rather than having a radius that picks up less noise as you go further, it appears to have a set radius where it picks up sound way too well before having a sort of ‘wall’ where it can barely pick up sound. This said radius is quite big, so even moving the mic far away from my face still picks me up. This is good for the obvious reasons, but a bit unhelpful when it picks up EVERY noise you make. Yes, you can lower the levels/sensitivity in microphone settings on your computer as well as in Softwares individually, and finding the right levels arent hard, but its a bit much to start. However, what really got me to write this review and why I had said pictures attached is this headsets major (Or potentially minor depending on how you use it) design flaw:The plastic ‘band’ that goes around your head isn’t reinforced very well, specifically the parts above where the cusion for your head and the ‘side plastic’ connect. This is not jointed and instead is just a round piece of plastic. I was used to taking my headset off by moving the ears away from me, widening the headset, since the other headset I had handled that just fine. This headset does not though. The parts I described on either side are sensitive and just after these 3 months, one of them broke and gave way. I had to reinforce it with vinyl tape and a thin scrap of metal to give it the right shape, but no matter what it was broken.I feel like this could be worked on, though until then as the customer, I suggest YOU make sure to take this headset off either by turning it backwards to take out from behind you, or to turn it forwards and remove it that way. As evident by how long mine lasted so far, separating the ears from your head has proven to be a breaking point for a design flaw.Nothing wrong with this headset, as all pieces of tech have their own issues, like bugs in a game, just make sure to take care of this well.TLTR:Sounds quality, noise cancellation, bass, microphone all over perform substantially. Your ears can get hot but its not that bead. The only real issue is physical strain of the overall structure. Just be sure to take this off without stretching it sideways and instead turning it backwards or forwards to avoid breaking the top and needing to either get a replacement or augment/modify it like I did (Which worked quite well to allow this to last longer)

    Great buy for good sound

I bought these for my daughter. She is an avid gamer and uses them at least 6-7 hours a day when she isn’t in school. They are very light and she said they have much better sound and clarity than her previous headset. She also likes how they don’t look huge on her head. Her previous set looked so big on her head and these are comfortable and don’t look like they were made for a giant. The adjustable band has a good range of size and my husband says they are comfortable on his head (which is much bigger than our daughter’s.)They seem to be well-made and feel like they are made with nice quality. Even though they are light, they don’t feel or look cheap. My daughter also wanted me to add that the flexible mic is nice to have, she doesn’t worry about it breaking or cracking when she carries it in her backpack.I would definitely buy them again.

    MICROPHONE IS SUPRISINGLY GREAT!

Ive been using these headphones for 2 months before writeing this review. The Razer Kraken X wired gaming headset is perfect for its price. The sound quality when using the virtual 7.1 surround sound is good for some games that utilize at least 5.1 surround sound. (Make sure you are using the correct audio channels.) The sound quality is great for gaming. The noise cancellation is definitely there. There is even notches in the ear cups for people that wear glasses. They are not visible, but you can feel around with your finger.Since these are using a 3.5 mm jack, they will work with PC, Android, Xbox one s controllers, and PS4 with sound and Microphone. It will even work for sound on the nintendo switch. A longer cord is included for PC that goes into two separate 3.5 mm ports (one for sound and one for mic) Honestly usb isn’t any better from my experiences with other headsets. The volume can be adjusted with a wheel on the headset. What blew me away was the microphone. Ive done some recordings and the quality was phenomenal for a budget gaming headset. It truely is a cardiod microphone that wont pick up background noises like key clicks anddistant voices. Ive even used it for online college classes and got complented for how clean I sounded on a zoom meeting. It can be muted with a button if needed.I also find the headset to be quite comfortable. It can be worn for long periods of time. They did not bother me at all. They are adjustable to move up and down but the ear cups do not swivel which gives the headset some extra durability. (A+) Eventhough its mostly plastic, they do not feel cheap at all.Overall, these are a must buy if you are looking for a wired gaming headset! Well done Razer!

Great for female gamers or young gamers!

My husband used to have a kraken headset for years till it fell apart and they were nice but too big for my head just like most gaming headsets. This version of the kraken headset is much much lighter than the one he had and I didn’t even need to adjust it straight from the box to fit my had. I also where glasses and a lot of headset get uncomfortable after a while due to interference with my glasses. The ear muff part is so squishy that it sits great with my glasses. A lot of times I have to where the headset off one ear so I can hear my small son playing in the room with me. The sound canceling is pretty good. I would totally recommend these for a young gamer or female one.
