SteelSeries = Best of the Best
I don’t write reviews often, and this pair of cans impressed me enough on day one to write one. I’ve been gaming for longer than I’d like to admit and have gone through countless headsets. Most have been adequate, some have been good and fewer have been great. The SteelSeries Arctis 5’s (and I’m sure the other Arctis models) are on an entirely different level. The first thing I noticed was how extremely comfortable they are. I’ve been wearing them for several hours at the time of this review and I’m not experiencing any pressure points or irritation. The atypical and simple suspension system is great, and I can’t believe more companies haven’t caught on to this.Another thing is the size of the headset. Many gaming headsets have a ridiculous amount of added bulk to make them stand out or look cool. SteelSeries instead has opted to go with a more sleek minimalist approach and pull it off well. While I can’t comment on the durability yet, the materials feel sturdy. Time will tell, but even the cheapest of headsets will last if you take care of them.Lastly the sound, and WOW do they sound great! Your experience may vary, instead of plugging these into a USB port I have them connected to an internal amplified soundcard (which makes mediocre headsets sound better than they should). All levels are crisp and clear, and I was pleasantly surprised with how much bass these produce. The only downside to being connected directly to the soundcard rather than a USB port is I don’t get to play with the nifty lights on the sides. For those without a similar soundcard I’m not sure how these will sound, but I plan on doing some testing to compare the difference in sound. Also since I’m not using the USB connection, I don’t have the chat mix dial connected so I can’t comment on how well that works. That too will come in later tests and I’ll provide additional feedback at that time.I’d say these are the best bang for your buck right now. More expensive headsets from other companies don’t even compare to how comfortable these are nor to how great they sound.

After returning the Arctis 3, the Arctis 5 is very comfortable and stylish.
I’m writing this review bored in my quarantine.I had ordered the Arctis 3 a few weeks ago after countless hours of research done into headphones. I play PC Games roughly 2 hours per day, maybe less, and wanted a comfortable pair of headphones that made me sound okay when talking in games and Discord to my pals.I ordered the Arctis 3 because it seemed it was very similar in quality to the Arctis 5, without the RGB on the sides of the headphones. My Arctis 3 microphone stopped working about 30 minutes into me using them, and I had to return them for that reason. I was really upset because I spent so many hours researching, and they were very comfortable so I was upset I had to return them.I ordered a Logitech-brand headphones and disliked them from the get-go. The sound quality was fine, but the comfort (My #1 desire) was lacking immensely.I landed on the Arctis 5 because no other headphone offered the material on the ears that Arctis’ do. I’m annoyed at SteelSeries for sending me a borderline faulty product at first, but the Arctis 5 is very comfortable, the RGB is neat I suppose, and the sound/mic quality seem fair. I’m not a headphone connoisseur by any means, but these bad boys are very comfortable and don’t seem to bother my ears after hours of wear. 4/5 due to the Arctis 3 problem I had.

Great but could be better
These things are nice. I’d buy them again if they were on sale but I’d do a hard pass for full price. The pads that come with the headset are comfortable, but they feel too small (at least for my head and I wear 71/4 size hat) so I ended up getting replacement pads that are thicker and even more comfortable. The headband is “adjustable” if having very limited grip area for the hook and loop to actually attach to with even more limited grip is what you’d count as adjustable. The mic is fine, but not nearly as sensitive as some others out there, in order for the mic on this thing to pick up your voice it has to be at almost exactly mouth level or it sounds very distant.Overall a very comfortable headset that I can wear for hours (even more so with the new pads) and it sounds great and highly immersive.

Best Headset for FPS Gamers
I can’t find any difference between this one and the one with 15k reviews. I believe they are the same. I was lucky to get to order this one when it was available with a cheaper price. I am a Valorant player and this headset helps me clearly hear the footsteps and other sound effects. My gaming experience also improves when using this headset. The RGB is cool but it’s a little bit disappointed that I cannot see it while putting the headphone on. Highly recommended for all gamers!

Nice gaming headset without being too bulky.
These are comfortable to wear for long periods of time even with glasses. I have a small head and didn’t even need to adjust the strap at all. They are not bulky and are lightweight. The foam is a little creaky when I move my head but it doesn’t seem to be in the joints and it doesn’t really bother me. My ears very slightly touch the fabric on the inside but it is so slight it’s barely noticeable. If you have ears that stick out a lot it might get uncomfortable. I think they sound pretty decent and the bass is nice. Not overpowering. The rgb is a nice touch. I have not played with the surround sound much so I can’t say anything about that. The sidetone is rather weak. The setting in the program doesn’t seem to do much and I have to control it with the Windows sidetone setting and I can barely hear my voice even with that setting all the way up. Mic works well and I like how it stows inside the earpiece. The dial for game or chat volume is very easily moved. Make sure you set it where it won’t get bumped. The adapter to be able to plug into my phone is also very nice. Overall I am very happy with this headset.

One of the best headsets on the market…
These artic 5 headsets are really good. The fit is very comfortable and the sound is amazing. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star yet is because I’m alittle concerned about the hide away mic piece. The pull-out/push-in mic is neat but im just worried about the longevity of that. Will def update this review in a few months. I highly recommend these headsets!

Best sound quality and built durable
I’ve had this headset for about 8 months now and they are exellent! Amazing sound quality perfect for games like tarkov where hearing every sound counts, The microphone is fairly decent as well for the price compared to other brands. Definitely found my favorite headset brand.
