Great keyboard and even greater customer service…
Its well made, sturdy and low profile key caps looks very nice. Media control dials and top keyboard plate are made of aluminum which looks and feels high quality. The switches are more clicky than tacktile like cherry blues but not as loud which I also like. But with that being said its not perfect and if I were to nit pick, I wish the wrist pad had some sort of soft coating on it. And rgb resets to its default setting when you restart or wake up the computer from sleep. And lastly, my wrist pad was slightly bent and it doesnt lay flat so it kinda wobbles as I put my wrist on it. Other than those minor issues, a very good looking and feeling keyboard.Update: Their customer service I guess read my review was very apologetic regarding the issue with the wrist pad being slightly bent and offered to replace it or give a partial refund, so I took the discount. I am very pleased my purchase with their customer service and hope to do more business with them in the future.

Big software glitch not mentioned in manufacturers details! Buyer beware!
Everytime I try to use this keyboard I have to unplug and plug it back into the usb port on my laptop to get the keys to work. It lights up but the keys will NOT function! Appears to be a BIG manufacturing glitch-firmware update was from 2006 and it’s not a driver issue. I really like the keyboard but what good is it if you have to constantly keep plugging it back in to use it? Amazon sent me a replacement and it does the same thing as the first one I was sent. I’ve tried contacting the manufacturer via their Facebook page with no response via email. The seller has been trying to help me but no answers as of yet. The only driver available appears to be the version that’s currently running that’s from 2006! I’m using it on a brand new Acer aspire laptop running Windows 10. Probably going to have to return this one too 🙁

Solid board- Great deal
This keyboard was a pleasant surprise. I was looking for a full size keyboard with a sturdy feel and good feedback switches. It really delivers on the sturdy feel, and the switches have a good feel to them. They aren’t insanely loud, my wife was using it as well and thought it felt nice. They keys themselves are interesting. They are shallow but removable, so if its not your thing you can replace them- the keyboard came with keycap remover as well. The board does not come with any software- which some people including myself see as a plus. The last thing I need is more software to fiddle with or running in the background. RGB settings are completely controlled on board with the dials- I could read the instruction book on how to control it but I just fiddle with them to find out what I like. I would rate this board higher than any Logitech as the price here is really good. Logitech is going to give you some wierd proprietary switch and a big plasticy feel- this one feels really nice and looks nice as well.

Great keyboard so far.
I did much research in finding a keyboard. I wanted a keyboard with a built-in wrist rest. The only keyboards that have them are gaming keyboards which some are mechanical. I stayed away from Corsair and Redragon because they have quality control issues. I chose this brand out of the brands that looked good. (Enhance, Logitech, Retro, and Cougar). I thought the wrist-rest would be bigger from how the pictures look. The keys are touch-sensitive which means they don’t need much pressure to hit.I came from a microsoft ergonomic keyboard 4000 which is meant for typing only….not gaming. Why? It bends the wrist when you are playing games due to it’s elevated design. I want to keep the wrists straight as possible.

Great mechanical keyboard with endless RGB lighting options.
Aula makes a great full sized RGB lit mechanical keyboard in the L2098 Forest.The L2098 is a full sized keyboard with an aluminum chassis with a solid weighty feel. It doesn’t feel like a cheap plastic gaming accessory. It comes with a side lit detachable wrist rest for a really comfortable feel, which is really nice. This keyboard has a braided USB cord which seems to have a solid sturdy connection at the base of the chassis. There are 2 height adjustment screws with 2 different sized spacers to set your height just the way you like it.The switches and keycaps are really the 2 main interests in the Aula L2098. The keycaps are very low profile, I’d say less than half the height of a normal keycap. They are all very clearly lettered double shot caps which let light shine through very well, and the lettering will last forever. I cannot decide if I like the low profile caps on standard height switches. It seems like stuff might get into the switch area a little easier than with standard height keycaps. This comes with a keycap puller and it normal sized keycaps do fit on these switches, so customization with your own keycaps would be possible. I have added a few pictures with a standard keycap to comapare the keycaps.The Switches in the Aula L2098 are KRGD Crystal switches. From what I could find these switches are a Cherry MX clone. They are a low noise tactile switch with about 60g of key force. This puts them into a Cherry MX Brown range if I would have to narrow it down. These KRGD Crystal switches are far quieter than Cherry MX Blues, and they still have a noticeable bump when pressed. The switches have a sturdy feel with zero wobble at the top. Typing on this keyboard is super smooth because of the wrist rest and the KRGD Crystal mechanical switches.Where the keyboard really shines (literally) is the RGB lighting. There are so many different modes and custom options to choose from which can be changed by the 4 buttons on the upper right of the keyboard. Movement options range from Chase, to Wave, to Shimmer, to Active, to you name it. There are 20 different lighting modes with 10 different color modes so go crazy!Overall the Aula is a great mechanical keyboard with great RGB lights. I really liked the wrist rest, the solid feel of the keyboard, the adjustable height screws, and the RGB lighting. The few things I didn’t like so much were the low profile keycaps and the off brand switches.

Uhhhh did I get a used keyboard?
Received my keyboard today, the keyboard was loose in the box, box was dusty, keys all over the place in the box. Looked used. All and all it’s a nice keyboard.

It’s a okay keyboard for the most part. There are some pros and cons.The lighting display is very bright and nice.The keys are good quality .Cons:The sound switcher is cheap.The keyboard doesn’t sit up right far enough because the screws just fall out under the keyboard.I do have a couple of dead rgb keys.Customer Service reached out to me through a email and asked how I liked it and if I had any issues to let them know. I indeed responded back to them letting them know my issue and they haven’t replied and it’s been a month since.Very disappointed.

I’m not big on huge reviews so I’m going to Bullet PointPros:Very nice tactile feedback, sound is moderately loud but not obnoxious. I love it, personally.Decently bright for the moneyVolume knob is revolutionary for keyboards.Other knobs make changing colors a breeze, but honestly never use them as I make a custom one so I can see keys when I’m gaming.The Wrist Guard lights up. Haha, who knew?Cons:No instructions with it.The software for the keyboard is TRASH. Not recognized by Google or Microsoft, you have to jump through hoops just to get it installed. Once installed, it crashes quite often.There are too many knobs and combinations, it’s quite silly and they never line up.I’ve had 2 of the keyboards replaced at this point and randomly it will press a key I’m in the middle of typing about 15 times in a row. Since it’s happened on multiple keyboards, I’m leaving this here. It seems to go away then magically reappear. Based off their software, I don’t see them fixing this with firmware anytime soon.

Very nice keyboard, Very nice for gaming…..I think anyway. I like how the keys click and fast response, Multiple colors functions. Also has a function for selecting which keys for which color. With serval different profiles for your different games.Only down fall is, too many lighting options. As silly as it sounds, just alot to navigate through. The programable key set is very neat though.

What were they thinking?
This keyboard arrived yesterday, so I’ve had 24 hours to get familiar with it and try it out, and these are my impressions:The GoodTyping on this thing is a dream. Noisy, tactile, goodness! I’ve been involved with computers for over 4 decades now, and while I was taught how to touch type at a very young age I was never any good at it and prefer my four-finger hunt & peck style that was perfected deep in my college computer labs on noisy old IBM keyboards. This actually feels like one of them and, while I can no longer do the 45wpm I used to be capable of (arthritis) with this it feels like I could. For anyone who is old school enough to remember the old IBM keyboards, this will feel and sound like a blast from the past.The BadNothing else on this keyboard is “right”. The controls are difficult to use and not very intuitive, the colors have to be reprogrammed every time you boot up, the user manual is a joke of bad English and jumbled thought, the light color doesn’t quite match the RGB values you put into the software (with no way to calibrate it – “white” on mine is light cyan), there’s one LED by the volume knob stuck on green, and the corners of the case are not rounded enough for my liking, feeling like they’re poking into my hand when gaming. While the software you can download to control the lighting helps a lot, it lacks documentation and resides on a site that none of my A/V protections were happy about, though a full system scan afterward came up clean.The UglyThe illuminated stripe that surrounds the edge of the keyboard and the wrist rest is not controllable and will annoy the heck out of anyone like me who has a certain color scheme they want for their computer. In my case that would be a nice deep blue. That’s the color of the motherboard, PS, and case lighting I have in my glass cased desktop PC, and what I wanted the keyboard to match. While I could kinda get that (with RGB set 0:0:255 I get blue with like green highlights) the bleeping stripe around the keyboard and wrist rest just continues its slow breathing cycling through the various colors, oblivious to any attempt on my part to control it, make it stop, or shut it off. Honestly, if I thought Amazon would take it back for that reason, and if it wasn’t so nice to type on, I’d return it.10/31/20 UPDATE: As of this morning the backspace key has become very intermittent and I’m going to have to replace this keyboard. It probably won’t be one from this manufacturer. This one lasted 93 days.
